2016-09-19Bluetooth: Use individual flags for certain management eventsMarcel Holtmann
Instead of hiding everything behind a general managment events flag, introduce indivdual flags that allow fine control over which events are send to a given management channel. Signed-off-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org> Signed-off-by: Johan Hedberg <johan.hedberg@intel.com>
2016-09-19Bluetooth: mgmt: Fix sending redundant event for Advertising InstanceJohan Hedberg
When an Advertising Instance is removed, the Advertising Removed event shouldn't be sent to the same socket that issued the Remove Advertising command (it gets a command complete event instead). The mgmt_advertising_removed() function already has a parameter for skipping a specific socket, but there was no code to propagate the right value to this parameter. This patch fixes the issue by making sure the intermediate hci_req_clear_adv_instance() function gets the socket pointer. 2016-09-19Bluetooth: Add support for sending MGMT open and close to monitorMarcel Holtmann

2016-09-19Bluetooth: add printf format attribute to hci_set_[fh]w_info()Nicolas Iooss
Commit 5177a83827cd ("Bluetooth: Add debugfs fields for hardware and firmware info") introduced hci_set_hw_info() and hci_set_fw_info(). These functions use kvasprintf_const() but are not marked with a __printf attribute. Adding such an attribute helps detecting issues related to printf-formatting at build time. 2016-09-19Bluetooth: Add combined LED trigger for controller powerMarcel Holtmann

2016-09-19nvdimm: fix PHYS_PFN/PFN_PHYS mixupOliver O'Halloran
nd_activate_region() iomaps any hint addresses required when activating a region. To prevent duplicate mappings it checks the PFN of the hint to be mapped against the PFNs of the already mapped hints. Unfortunately it doesn't convert the PFN back into a physical address before passing it to devm_nvdimm_ioremap(). Instead it applies PHYS_PFN a second time which ends about as well as you would imagine. Signed-off-by: Oliver O'Halloran <oohall@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Dan Williams <dan.j.williams@intel.com>

2016-09-19MIPS: Octeon: Fix platform bus probingAaro Koskinen
Commit 44a7185c2ae6 ("of/platform: Add common method to populate default bus") added new arch_initcall of_platform_default_populate_init() that will override device_initcall octeon_publish_devices(). This broke many OCTEON boards as important devices are not getting probed anymore (e.g. on EdgeRouter Lite the USB mass storage/rootfs is missing). 2016-09-19MIPS: Octeon: mangle-port: fix build failure with VDSO codeAaro Koskinen
Commit 1685ddbe35cd ("MIPS: Octeon: Changes to support readq()/writeq() usage.") added bitwise shift operations that assume that unsigned long is always 64-bits. This broke the build of VDSO code, as it gets compiled also in "faked" 32-bit mode. Althought the failing inline functions are never executed in 32-bit mode, they still need to pass the compilation. Fix by using 64-bit types explicitly. 2016-09-19MIPS: Avoid a BUG warning during prctl(PR_SET_FP_MODE, ...)Marcin Nowakowski
cpu_has_fpu macro uses smp_processor_id() and is currently executed with preemption enabled, that triggers the warning at runtime. commit a894cf6c5a82 ("mtd: nand: mxc: switch to mtd_ooblayout_ops") introduced a regression accessing the OOB area from the mxc_nand driver due to an Obiwan error in the mxc_nand_v[12]_ooblayout_free() functions. 2016-09-19iwlwifi: mvm: Add mem debugfs entryIdo Yariv
In order to access cached/paged memory, there are a couple of firmware commands (one for UMAC and one for LMAC) that let the host access memory and registers indirectly. Since this is done by the firmware on behalf of the host, even if memory is paged out or cached, the host will retrieve the memory as the firmware sees it (paged out memory will get paged in). Export this mechanism via a debugfs entry for both read and write access. WARNING: This mechanism has no protections at all. Invalid addresses may crash or hang the firmware. Similar to struct drm_update_draw, struct drm_mode_fb_cmd2 has an unaligned 64 bit field (modifier). This get packed differently between 32 bit and 64 bit modes on architectures that can handle unaligned 64 bit access (X86 and IA64). Other architectures pack the structs the same and don't need the compat wrapper. Use the same condition for drm_mode_fb_cmd2 as we use for drm_update_draw.
