2013-04-12Merge branch 'fixes-for-3.9' of git://gitorious.org/linux-can/linux-canDavid S. Miller
Marc Kleine-Budde says: ==================== here's another fix for the v3.9 release cycle, if not too late: Christoph Fritz fixed the device tree property handling on little endian systems in the sja1000 device tree driver. It was Mylene Josserand who noticed that the mcp251x spi CAN driver cannot request its interrupt anymore, as the driver is using a threaded interrupt handler without a primary one and without specifying IRQF_ONESHOT (which is needed since v3.5). A patch by me fixes this problem. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/pablo/nf into netfilter Pablo Neira Ayuso says: ==================== The following patchset contains late netfilter fixes for your net tree, they are: * Don't drop segmented TCP packets in the SIP helper, we've got reports from users that this was breaking communications when the SIP phone messages are larger than the MTU, from Patrick McHardy. * Fix refcount leak in the ipset list set, from Jozsef Kadlecsik. * On hash set resizing, the nomatch flag was lost, thus entirely inverting the logic of the set matching, from Jozsef Kadlecsik. * Fix crash on NAT modules removal. Timer expiration may race with the module cleanup exit path while deleting conntracks, from Florian Westphal. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-04-12clk: sunxi: Unify oscillator clockEmilio López
This commit uses the new fixed-rate support on the composite clock to unify osc24M_fixed and osc24M clocks, so it matches the actual hardware. Signed-off-by: Emilio López <emilio@elopez.com.ar> Signed-off-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org> [mturquette@linaro.org: replace clk_register_gatable_osc with a call to clk_register_composite]
2013-04-12clk: composite: allow fixed rates & fixed dividersMike Turquette
The composite clock assumes that any clock implementing the .recalc_rate callback will also implement .round_rate and .set_rate. This is not always true; the basic fixed-rate clock will only implement .recalc_rate and a fixed-divider clock may choose to implement .recalc_rate and .round_rate but not .set_rate. Fix this by conditionally registering .round_rate and .set_rate callbacks based on the rate_ops passed in to clk_composite_register. 2013-04-12clk: composite: rename 'div' references to 'rate'Mike Turquette
Rename all div_hw and div_ops related variables and functions to use rate_hw, rate_ops, etc. This is to make the rate-change portion of the composite clk implementation more generic. 2013-04-12clk: add si5351 i2c common clock driverSebastian Hesselbarth
This patch adds a common clock driver for Silicon Labs Si5351a/b/c i2c programmable clock generators. Currently, the driver does not support VXCO feature of si5351b. Passing platform_data or DT bindings selectively allows to overwrite stored Si5351 configuration which is very helpful for clock generators with empty eeprom configuration. Corresponding device tree binding documentation is also added. 2013-04-12spi: s3c64xx: move to generic dmaengine APIArnd Bergmann
The spi-s3c64xx uses a Samsung proprietary interface for talking to the DMA engine, which does not work with multiplatform kernels. This version of the patch leaves the old code in place, behind an #ifdef. This can be removed in the future, after the s3c64xx platform start supporting the regular dmaengine interface. An earlier version of this patch was tested successfully on exynos5250 by Padma Venkat. The conversion was rather mechanical, since the samsung interface is just a shallow wrapper around the dmaengine interface. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>

2013-04-12kthread: Prevent unpark race which puts threads on the wrong cpuThomas Gleixner
The smpboot threads rely on the park/unpark mechanism which binds per cpu threads on a particular core. Though the functionality is racy: CPU0 CPU1 CPU2 unpark(T) wake_up_process(T) clear(SHOULD_PARK) T runs leave parkme() due to !SHOULD_PARK bind_to(CPU2) BUG_ON(wrong CPU) We cannot let the tasks move themself to the target CPU as one of those tasks is actually the migration thread itself, which requires that it starts running on the target cpu right away. The solution to this problem is to prevent wakeups in park mode which are not from unpark(). That way we can guarantee that the association of the task to the target cpu is working correctly. Add a new task state (TASK_PARKED) which prevents other wakeups and use this state explicitly for the unpark wakeup. Peter noticed: Also, since the task state is visible to userspace and all the parked tasks are still in the PID space, its a good hint in ps and friends that these tasks aren't really there for the moment. The migration thread has another related issue. CPU0 CPU1 Bring up CPU2 create_thread(T) park(T) wait_for_completion() parkme() complete() sched_set_stop_task() schedule(TASK_PARKED) The sched_set_stop_task() call is issued while the task is on the runqueue of CPU1 and that confuses the hell out of the stop_task class on that cpu. So we need the same synchronizaion before sched_set_stop_task().
