Pull ARM SoC fixes from Arnd Bergmann:
"There is a small backlog of at91 patches here, the most significant is
the addition of some sama5d2 Xplained nodes that were waiting on an
MFD include file to get merged through another tree.
We normally try to sort those out before the merge window opens, but
the maintainer wasn't aware of that here and I decided to merge the
changes this time as an exception.
On OMAP a series of audio changes for dra7 missed the merge window but
turned out to be necessary to fix a boot time imprecise external abort
error and to get audio working.
The other changes are the usual simple changes, here is a list sorted
by platform:

Currently when perf fails to process samples for some reason, it doesn't
show any message about the failure. This is very inconvenient for users
especially on TUI as screen is reset after the failure.

When a43eec304259 ("bpf: introduce bpf_perf_event_output() helper") added
PERF_COUNT_SW_BPF_OUTPUT we ended up with a new entry in the event_symbols_sw
array that wasn't initialized, thus set to NULL, fix print_symbol_events()
to check for that case so that we don't crash if this happens again.

When PERF_COUNT_SW_BPF_OUTPUT was added to the kernel we should've
added it to tools/perf, where it is used just to list events.
This ended up causing a segfault in commands like "perf list stall".
Fix it by adding that new software counter.
A patch to robustify perf to not segfault when the next counter gets
added in the kernel will follow this one.

GCC 4.1 and newer remove empty loops. This becomes a problem when delay
loops get removed. Fixed by rewriting to user the proper Linux interface
for such delays.

The --kernel option of perf buildid-list tool should show the running
kernel buildid. The functionality has been lost during other changes of
the related code.
The build_id__sprintf() function should return length of the build-id
string, but it was the length of the build-id raw data instead. Due to
that, some return value checking caused that the final string was not
printed out.
With this patch the build_id__sprintf() returns the correct value, so
the --kernel option works again.

This seems appearing when the sound driver went to suspend before i915
driver. Then i915 driver disables HDMI/DP audio bit and calls the
registered notifier, and the HDA codec tries to handle it as a
hot(un)plug. But since the driver is already in the suspended state,
it fails miserably.
As this is a sort of spurious wakeup, it can be ignored safely, as
long as it's delivered during the system suspend. OTOH, if a
notification comes during the runtime suspend, the situation is
different: we need to wake up. But during the system suspend, such a
notification can't be the reason for a wakeup.
This patch addresses it by a simple check of the current sound card
status. The skipped notification doesn't matter because the HDA
driver will check the plugged status forcibly at the resume in
return.
Then, why the card status, not a runtime PM status or else? The HDA
controller driver is supposed to set the card status to D3 at the
system suspend but not at the runtime suspend. So we can see it as a
flag that is set only for the system suspend. Admittedly, it's a bit
ugly, but it should work well for now.

When submitting an identical spi_message multiple times via spi_sync
the spi_message.frame_length does not get reset to 0 in __spi_validate
before adding up all spi_transfer.len resulting in
frame_length > actual_length on all but the first spi_sync call.

ASoC: Fixes for v4.4
Quite a large batch of fixes have come in since the merge window, mainly
driver specific ones but there's a couple of core ones:
- A fix for DAPM resume on active streams to ensure everything ends up
cleanly in the right state.
- Reset the DAPM cache when freeing widgets to fix a crash on driver
remove and reload.
The PM functions for nau8825 are new code which fix crashes on resume.

When the AP queue depth of requests was reached additional requests
have been ignored. These request are stuck in the request queue.
The AP queue handling now push the next waiting request into the
queue after fetching a previous serviced and finished reply.

s3c2410_plls_add is a device notifier that may be called at runtime and
is correctly not marked __init. However it calls s3c_plltab_register()
which is marked __init, and that triggers a build error when we are
checking for section mismatches:

The function s3c2410_plls_add() references
the function __init s3c_plltab_register().
This is often because s3c2410_plls_add lacks a __init

This removes the __init annotation from s3c2410_plls_add as well as the
__initdata section annotations from s3c2440_plls_12 and s3c2440_plls_169344,
which in turn are referenced from s3c2410_plls_add.

ex->ee_block is not host-endian (note that accesses of other fields
of *ex right next to that line go through the helpers that do proper
conversion from little-endian to host-endian; it might make sense
to add similar for ->ee_block to avoid reintroducing that kind of

Adding OUTPUT path prefix for fixdep target so we use it properly in out
of tree builds.
If the fixdep already existed in the tree, the out of tree build would
see it already exist and did not build the out of tree version, as

If more than 1024 event channels are bound to a evtchn device then it
possible (even with well behaved applications) for the ring to
overflow and events to be lost (reported as an -EFBIG error).
Dynamically increase the size of the ring so there is always enough
space for all bound events. Well behaved applicables that only unmask
events after draining them from the ring can thus no longer lose
events.
However, an application could unmask an event before draining it,
allowing multiple entries per port to accumulate in the ring, and a
overflow could still occur. So the overflow detection and reporting
is retained.
The ring size is initially only 64 entries so the common use case of
an application only binding a few events will use less memory than
before. The ring size may grow to 512 KiB (enough for all 2^17
possible channels). This order 7 kmalloc() may fail due to memory
fragmentation, so we fall back to trying vmalloc().

Even though initcall return values are typically ignored, the
prototype is to return 0 on success or a negative errno value on
error. So fix the arm_enable_runtime_services() implementation to
return 0 on conditions that are not in fact errors, and return a
meaningful error code otherwise.

Add NULL return value checks to two invocations of early_memremap()
in the UEFI init code. For the UEFI configuration tables, we just
warn since we have a better chance of being able to report the issue
in a way that can actually be noticed by a human operator if we don't
abort right away. For the UEFI memory map, however, all we can do is
panic() since we cannot proceed without a description of memory.

After commit 8c058b0b9c34 ("x86/irq: Probe for PIC presence before
allocating descs for legacy IRQs") early_irq_init() will no longer
preallocate descriptors for legacy interrupts if PIC does not
exist, which is the case for Xen PV guests.
Therefore we may need to allocate those descriptors ourselves.

The cpuid_feature_extract_field() extracts the feature value
as a signed integer. This could be problematic for features
whose values are unsigned. e.g, ID_AA64DFR0_EL1:BRPs. Add
an unsigned variant for the unsigned fields.

Doing so will cause the grant to be unmapped and then, during
fault handling, the fault to be mistakenly treated as NUMA hint
fault.
In addition, even if those maps could partcipate in NUMA
balancing, it wouldn't provide any benefit since we are unable
to determine physical page's node (even if/when VNUMA is
implemented).
Marking grant maps' VMAs as VM_IO will exclude them from being
part of NUMA balancing.

With the actual code, read_alarm() always returns -EINVAL when called
during the RTC device registration. This prevents from retrieving an
already configured alarm in hardware.
This patch fixes the issue by moving the HAS_ALARM bit configuration
(if supported by the hardware) above the rtc_device_register() call.

When parsing /proc/xxx/maps, the sscanf in perf_event__synthesize_mmap_events
truncate the map name at the space in "/anon_hugepage (deleted)".
is_anon_memory() then only receives the string "/anon_hugepage" and does
not detect it. We change is_anon_memory() to only compare the first
part of the string, effectively ignoring if " (deleted)" is there.

In the above example, probe fails before we put the module into
buildid-cache. However, user would expect it success in both case
because perf is able to find probe points actually.
The reason is because perf won't utilize module's full path if it failed
to open debuginfo. In:

get_target_map ->
kernel_get_module_map ->
machine__findnew_module_map ->
map_groups__find_by_name
map_groups__find_by_name() is able to find the map of that module, but
this information is found from /proc/module before it knows the real
path of the offline module. Therefore, the map->dso->long_name is set to
something like '[mymodule]', which prevent dso__load() find the real
path of the module file.
In another aspect, if dso__load() can get the offline module through
buildid cache, it can read symble table from that ko. Even if debuginfo
is not available, 'perf probe' can success if the '.symtab' can be
found.
This patch improves machine__findnew_module_map(): when dso->long_name
is leading with '[' (doesn't find path of module when parsing
/proc/modules), fixes it by dso__set_long_name(), so following
dso__load() is possible to find the symbol table.
This patch won't interfere with buildid matching. Here is the test
result:

Currently we have the install-traceevent-plugins target being dependent
on $(LIBTRACEEVENT), which will actualy not build any plugin. So the
install-traceevent-plugins target itself will try to build plugins,
but..
Plugins built is also triggered by perf build itself via
libtraceevent_plugins target.
This might cause a race having one make thread removing temp files from
another and result in above error. Fixing this by having proper plugins
build dependency before installing plugins.
