Commit ba0925c34e0f ("gve: process XSK TX descriptors as part of RX NAPI")
moved XSK TX processing to be part of the RX NAPI. However, that commit
did not include triggering the RX NAPI in gve_xsk_wakeup. This is
necessary because the TX NAPI only processes TX completions, meaning
that a TX wakeup would not actually trigger XSK descriptor processing.
Also, the branch on XDP_WAKEUP_TX was supposed to have been removed, as
the NAPI should be scheduled whether the wakeup is for RX or TX.

Check the return value of clk_prepare_enable to ensure that priv->clk has
been successfully enabled.
If priv->clk was not enabled during bcm_sysport_probe, bcm_sysport_resume,
or bcm_sysport_open, it must not be disabled in any subsequent execution
paths.

This is not the hot path, it's a slow path. Yet the locking for it is
in the hot path, and __cold does not prevent it from being inlined.
Move the locking to the function itself, and mark it noinline as well
to avoid it polluting the icache of the hot path.

because after the preempt-rt fix for the timeout lock nesting inside
the io-wq lock, we now have the eventfd spinlock nesting inside the
raw timeout spinlock.
Rather than play whack-a-mole with other nesting on the timeout lock,
split the deletion and killing of timeouts so queueing the task_work
for the timeout cancelations can get done outside of the timeout lock.

Registers DSI_VM_CMD and DSI_SHADOW_DEBUG start at different
addresses in both MT8186 and MT8188 compared to the older IPs.
Add two members in struct mtk_dsi_driver_data to specify the
offsets for these two registers on a per-SoC basis, then do
specify those in all of the currently present SoC driver data.
This fixes writes to the Video Mode Command Packet Control
register, fixing enablement of command packet transmission
(VM_CMD_EN) and allowance of this transmission during the
VFP period (TS_VFP_EN) on both MT8186 and MT8188.

The MediaTek DP hardware supports audio and exposes a DAI, so the
'#sound-dai-cells' property is needed for describing the DAI links.
Reference the dai-common.yaml schema to allow '#sound-dai-cells' to be
used, and filter out non-DP compatibles as MediaTek eDP in the same
binding doesn't support audio.
This fixes dtbs_check error:
'#sound-dai-cells' does not match any of the regexes: 'pinctrl-[0-9]+'

The commit 3ab1663af6c1 ("watchdog: stm32_iwdg: Add pretimeout support")
introduces the support for the pre-timeout interrupt.
The support for this interrupt is optional but the driver uses the
platform_get_irq() which produces an error message during the driver
probe if we don't have any `interrupts` property in the DT.
Use the platform_get_irq_optional() API to get rid of the error message
as this property is optional.

Fix dp mode valid issue to avoid abnormal display of limit state.
After DP passes link training, it can express the lane count of the
current link status is good. Calculate the maximum bandwidth supported
by DP using the current lane count.
The color format will select the best one based on the bandwidth
requirements of the current timing mode. If the current timing mode
uses RGB and meets the DP link bandwidth requirements, RGB will be used.
If the timing mode uses RGB but does not meet the DP link bandwidthi
requirements, it will continue to check whether YUV422 meets
the DP link bandwidth.
FEC overhead is approximately 2.4% from DP 1.4a spec 2.2.1.4.2.
The down-spread amplitude shall either be disabled (0.0%) or up
to 0.5% from 1.4a 3.5.2.6. Add up to approximately 3% total overhead.
Because rate is already divided by 10,
mode->clock does not need to be multiplied by 10.

According to the definition of YCbCr in spec 1.2a Table 2-96,

This reverts commit c2d188e137e77294323132a760a4608321a36a70.
Although it's fine to filter the invalid UMP groups at the first probe
time, this will become a problem when UMP groups are updated and
(re-)activated. Then there is no way to re-add the substreams
properly for the legacy rawmidi, and the new active groups will be
still invisible.
So let's revert the change. This will move back to showing the full
16 groups, but it's better than forever lost.

OSS sequencer handles the SysEx messages split in 6 bytes packets, and
ALSA sequencer OSS layer tries to combine those. It stores the data
in the internal buffer and this access is racy as of now, which may
lead to the out-of-bounds access.
As a temporary band-aid fix, introduce a mutex for serializing the
process of the SysEx message packets.

sound/core/compress_offload.c
3d3f43fab4cf ("ALSA: compress_offload: improve file descriptors
installation for dma-buf") fixed some of descriptor races in
snd_compr_task_new(), but there's a couple more left.
We need to grab the references to dmabuf before moving them into
descriptor table - trying to do that by descriptor afterwards might
end up getting a different object, with a dangling reference left in
task->{input,output}

This adds a new inode field, bi_depth, for directory inodes: this allows
us to make the check_directory_structure pass much more efficient.
Currently, to ensure the filesystem is fully connect and has no loops,
for every directory we follow backpointers until we find the root. But
by adding a depth counter, it sufficies to only check the parent of each
directory, and check that the parent's bi_depth is smaller.
(fsck doesn't require that bi_depth = parent->bi_depth + 1; if a rename
causes bi_depth off, but the chain to the root is still strictly
decreasing, then the algorithm still works and there's no need for fsck
to fixup the bi_depth fields).
We've already checked backpointers, so we know that every directory
(excluding the root)has a valid parent: if bi_depth is always
decreasing, every chain must terminate, and terminate at the root
directory.
bi_depth will not necessarily be correct when fsck runs, due to
directory renames - we can't change bi_depth on every child directory
when renaming a directory. That's ok; fsck will silently fix the
bi_depth field as needed, and future fsck runs will be much faster.

Now that bch2_move_get_io_opts() re-propagates changed inode io options
to bch_extent_rebalance, we can properly suport changing IO path options
for reflinked data.
Changing a per-file IO path option, either via the xattr interface or
via the BCHFS_IOC_REINHERIT_ATTRS ioctl, will now trigger a scan (the
inode number is marked as needing a scan, via
bch2_set_rebalance_needs_scan()), and rebalance will use
bch2_move_data(), which will walk the inode number and pick up the new
options.

Previously, io path option changes on a file would be picked up
automatically and applied to existing data - but not for reflinked data,
as we had no way of doing this safely. A user may have had permission to
copy (and reflink) a given file, but not write to it, and if so they
shouldn't be allowed to change e.g. nr_replicas or other options.
This uses the incompat feature mechanism in the previous patch to add a
new incompatible flag to bch_reflink_p, indicating whether a given
reflink pointer may propagate io path option changes back to the
indirect extent.
In this initial patch we're only setting it for the source extents.
We'd like to set it for the destination in a reflink copy, when the user
has write access to the source, but that requires mnt_idmap which is not
curretly plumbed up to remap_file_range.

We've been getting away from feature bits: they don't have any kind of
ordering, and thus it's possible for people to enable weird combinations
of features that were never tested or intended to be run.
Much better to just give every new feature, compatible or incompatible,
a version number.
Additionally, we probably won't ever rev the major version number: major
version numbers represent incompatible versions, but that doesn't really
fit with how we actually roll out incompatible features - we need a
better way of rolling out incompatible features.
So, this patch adds two new superblock fields:
- BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT
- BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT_ALLOWED
BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT_ALLOWED indicates that incompatible features up
to version number x are allowed to be used without user prompting, but
it does not by itself deny old versions from mounting.
BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT does deny old versions from mounting, and must
be <= BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT_ALLOWED.
BCH_SB_VERSION_INCOMPAT will only be set when a codepath attempts to use
an incompatible feature, so as to not unnecessarily break compatibility
with old versions.
bch2_request_incompat_feature() is the new interface to check if an
incompatible feature may be used.

The backpointers passes, check_backpointers_to_extents() and
check_extents_to_backpointers() are the most expensive fsck passes.
Now that we're running the same check and repair code when using a
backpointer at runtime (via bch2_backpointer_get_key()) that fsck does,
there's no reason fsck needs to - except to verify that the filesystem
really has no errors in debug mode.

Continuing on with the self healing theme, we should be running any
check and repair code at runtime that we can - instead of declaring the
filesystemt inconsistent.
This will also let us skip running the backpointers -> extents fsck pass
except in debug mode.

Instead of walking every extent and every backpointer it points to,
first sum up backpointers in each bucket and check for mismatches, and
only look for missing backpointers if mismatches were detected, and only
check extents in those buckets.
This is a major fsck scalability improvement, since the two backpointers
passes (backpointers -> extents and extents -> backpointers) are the
most expensive fsck passes by far.
Additionally, to speed up the upgrade for backpointer bucket gens, or in
situations when we have to rebuild alloc info, add a special case for
when no backpointers are found in a bucket - don't check each individual
backpointer (in particular, avoiding the write buffer flushes), just
recreate them.

In an upcoming patch bch2_backpointer_get_key() will be repairing when
it finds a dangling backpointer; it will need to flush the btree write
buffer before it can definitively say there's an error.

bch_backpointer no longer contains the bucket_offset field, it's just a
direct LBA mapping (with low bits to account for compressed extent
splitting), so we don't need to refer to the device to construct it
anymore.

Fix sort order for disk accounting keys, in order to fix a regression on
mount times.
The typetag is now the most significant byte of the key, meaning disk
accounting keys of the same type now sort together.
This lets us skip over disk accounting keys that aren't mirrored in
memory when reading accounting at startup, instead of having them
interleaved with other counter types.

New on disk format version: backpointers new include the generation
number of the bucket they refer to, and the obsolete bucket_offset field
(no longer needed because we no longer store backpointers in alloc keys)
is gone.
This is an expensive forced upgrade - hopefully the last; we have to run
the extents_to_backpointers recovery pass to regenerate backpointers.
It's a forced incompatible upgrade because the alternative would've been
permamently making backpointers bigger, and as one of the biggest btrees
(along with the extents btree) that's not an ideal option.
It's worth it though, because this allows us to make the
check_extents_to_backpointers pass drastically cheaper: an upcoming
patch changes it to sum up backpointers in a bucket and check the sum
against the sector counts for that bucket, only looking for missing
backpointers if they don't match (and then only for specific buckets).

The HP OMEN 8 (2022), corresponding to a board ID of 8A15, supports OMEN
thermal profile and requires the timed profile quirk.
Upon adding this ID to both the omen_thermal_profile_boards and
omen_timed_thermal_profile_boards, significant bump in performance can be
observed. For instance, SilverBench (https://silver.urih.com/) results
improved from ~56,000 to ~69,000, as a result of higher power draws (and
thus core frequencies) whilst under load:
Package Power:
- Before the patch: ~65W (dropping to about 55W under sustained load).
- After the patch: ~115W (dropping to about 105W under sustained load).
Core Power:
- Before: ~60W (ditto above).
- After: ~108W (ditto above).
Add 8A15 to omen_thermal_profile_boards and
omen_timed_thermal_profile_boards to improve performance.

In CoCo VMs it is possible for the untrusted host to cause
set_memory_decrypted() to fail such that an error is returned
and the resulting memory is shared. Callers need to take care
to handle these errors to avoid returning decrypted (shared)
memory to the page allocator, which could lead to functional
or security issues.
Leak the decrypted memory when set_memory_decrypted() fails,
and don't need to print an error since set_memory_decrypted()
will call WARN_ONCE().

An indirect branch instruction sets the CPU indirect branch tracker
(IBT) into WAIT_FOR_ENDBRANCH (WFE) state and WFE stays asserted
across the instruction boundary. When the decoder finds an
inappropriate instruction while WFE is set ENDBR, the CPU raises a #CP
fault.
For the "kernel IBT no ENDBR" selftest where #CPs are deliberately
triggered, the WFE state of the interrupted context needs to be
cleared to let execution continue. Otherwise when the CPU resumes
from the instruction that just caused the previous #CP, another
missing-ENDBRANCH #CP is raised and the CPU enters a dead loop.
This is not a problem with IDT because it doesn't preserve WFE and
IRET doesn't set WFE. But FRED provides space on the entry stack
(in an expanded CS area) to save and restore the WFE state, thus the
WFE state is no longer clobbered, so software must clear it.
Clear WFE to avoid dead looping in ibt_clear_fred_wfe() and the
!ibt_fatal code path when execution is allowed to continue.
Clobbering WFE in any other circumstance is a security-relevant bug.

Before commit:
f5d39b020809 ("freezer,sched: Rewrite core freezer logic")
the frozen task stat was reported as 'D' in cgroup v1.
However, after rewriting the core freezer logic, the frozen task stat is
reported as 'R'. This is confusing, especially when a task with stat of
'S' is frozen.
This bug can be reproduced with these steps:
$ cd /sys/fs/cgroup/freezer/
$ mkdir test
$ sleep 1000 &
[1] 739 // task whose stat is 'S'
$ echo 739 > test/cgroup.procs
$ echo FROZEN > test/freezer.state
$ ps -aux | grep 739
root 739 0.1 0.0 8376 1812 pts/0 R 10:56 0:00 sleep 1000
As shown above, a task whose stat is 'S' was changed to 'R' when it was
frozen.
To solve this regression, simply maintain the same reported state as
before the rewrite.
