The variable status is initialized to either 0 or an error code. Return
status to propagate the error value.

mode from DT
This patch allows to select a specific video mode from a list of modes
defined in DT by setting the 'native-mode' property appropriately.
Since all current users of this driver have only one mode defined in
their .dts files, the patch does not change the behaviour of this
driver on the affected platforms.

CRTC offsets are only set with the initial modeset, any
subseqent pageflips assume them to be kept the same, so
we need to remember the current state until another modeset
changes it.

We didn't take the pixel format into account, so x-direction
offsets were off by a factor of 2 or 4 for 16bpp and 32bpp
framebuffers.

This patch adds Comedi driver for Humusoft MF634 (PCIe) and
MF624 (PCI) data acquisition cards. The legacy card Humusoft
MF614 is not supported. More info about the cards may be found
at http://humusoft.cz/produkty/datacq/
The driver was tested with both cards. Everything seems to work
properly. Just the basic functionality of the card (DIO, ADC, DAC)
is supported by this driver.

1. MEI_DEV_RESETTING device state spans only hardware reset flow
while starting dev state is saved into a local variable for further
reference, this let us to reduce big if statements in case we
are trying to avoid nested resets
2. During initializations if the reset ended in MEI_DEV_DISABLED device
state we bail out with -ENODEV
3. Remove redundant interrupts_enabled parameter as this
can be deduced from the starting dev_state
4. mei_reset propagates error code to the caller
5. Add mei_restart function to wrap the pci resume

The TTY_PRINTK option is bool, and hence this code is either
present or absent. It will never be modular, so using
module_init as an alias for __initcall is rather misleading.
Fix this up now, so that we can relocate module_init from
init.h into module.h in the future. If we don't do this, we'd
have to add module.h to obviously non-modular code, and that
would be a worse thing.
Note that direct use of __initcall is discouraged, vs. one
of the priority categorized subgroups. As __initcall gets
mapped onto device_initcall, our use of device_initcall
directly in this change means that the runtime impact is
zero -- it will remain at level 6 in initcall ordering.

The DWC2 driver should now be in good enough shape to move out of
staging. I have stress tested it overnight on RPI running mass
storage and Ethernet transfers in parallel, and for several days
on our proprietary PCI-based platform.

In the discussion for this set of patches [link below], Bjorn Helgaas
pointed out that the ACPI HEST AER error sources do not have the PCIe
segment number associated with the bus. I worked with the ACPI spec and
got this change to definition of the "Bus" field into the recently released
ACPI Spec 5.0a section 18.3.2.3-5:
Identifies the PCI Bus and Segment of the device. The Bus is encoded in
bits 0-7. For systems that expose multiple PCI segment groups, the
segment number is encoded in bits 8-23 and bits 24-31 must be zero. For
systems that do not expose multiple PCI segment groups, bits 8-31 must be
zero. If the GLOBAL flag is specified, this field is ignored.
This patch makes use of the new definition in the only place in the kernel
that uses the acpi_hest_aer_common's bus field.

We've grown a bunch of microcode loader files all prefixed with
"microcode_". They should be under cpu/ because this is strictly
CPU-related functionality so do that and drop the prefix since they're
in their own directory now which gives that prefix. :)
While at it, drop MICROCODE_INTEL_LIB config item and stash the
functionality under CONFIG_MICROCODE_INTEL as it was its only user.

The original idea to use the microcode cache for the APs doesn't pan out
because we do memory allocation there very early and with IRQs disabled
and we don't want to involve GFP_ATOMIC allocations. Not if it can be
helped.
Thus, extend the caching of the BSP patch approach to the APs and
iterate over the ucode in the initrd instead of using the cache. We
still save the relevant patches to it but later, right before we
jettison the initrd.
While at it, fix early ucode loading on 32-bit too.

Using 'make namespacecheck' identify code which should be declared static.
Checked for users in other driver/archs as well. Compile tested only.
This stops exporting the following interfaces to modules:

The ramdisk can possibly get relocated if the whole image is not mapped.
And since we're going over it in the microcode loader and fishing out
the relevant microcode patches, we want access it at its new location.
Thus, export it.

The synchronization needed after ftrace_ops are unregistered must happen
after the callback is disabled from becing called by functions.
The current location happens after the function is being removed from the
internal lists, but not after the function callbacks were disabled, leaving
the functions susceptible of being called after their callbacks are freed.
This affects perf and any externel users of function tracing (LTTng and
SystemTap).
