After cancelling all reads from the disable hook, we need to reset the
event_cb pointer as well or else we won't be able to set a new one up
when re-enabling the device.

Linux' notion of cpuid is different from the Host's notion of CPUID. In the
call to bind the channel interrupts, we should use the host's notion of
CPU Ids. Fix this bug.

Before f7b861b7a6d9 ("arm: Use generic idle loop") ARM would kill the
CPU within the rcu idle section. Now that the rcu_idle_enter()/exit()
pair have been pushed lower down in the idle loop this is no longer true
and so using RCU_NONIDLE here is no longer necessary and also harmful
because RCU is not actually idle at this point.

'rotation' was an 8 bit variable and hence could not have values
greater than 255. Since we need higher values, change it to 16
bit type.

The Codec section in the V4L2 specification was marked as 'suspended', even
though codec support has been around for quite some time. Update this

The error path on failure was calling mutex_unlock(), but there was
no actuall call before for mutex_lock(). This patch fixes this issue
by pointing it to proper go label.

For NV12 format, even if display data is single image,
both VIDWIN0 and VIDWIN1 parameters must be used. The start
address of Y data plane and C data plane is configured in
VIDEOWIN0ADH/L and VIDEOWIN1ADH/L respectively.
cuurently only one layer was requested, which is suffice
for yuv422, but for yuv420(NV12) two layers are required and
fix the same by requesting for other layer if pix fmt is NV12
during set_fmt.

Along the modesetting short cut where we skip trying to do a full
modeset and instead simply update the framebuffer base registers, we
failed to handle any errors reported.
This regression has been introduced in

At DDX commit Chris mentioned the tendency we have of finding out more
PCI IDs only when users report. So Let's add all new reserved Haswell IDs.
This patch also fix GT3 names. I'no not sending in separated patche because
names are only in few comments and not in variable names.

And the SNB_READ_WM0_LATENCY macro is not valid anymore because we
have the "New WM0" at 63:56, so the "Old WM0" could maybe be zero if

Remove the "placeholder" comment and set the actual value described by
the specification. We still don't enable IPS, but it won't hurt to
already have the value set here.
While at it, fully set the register value instead of just masking the
values we're changing.

With this, that 338 can finally become the correct 337500.
Due to the change we need to adjust the intel_dp_aux_ch function to
set the correct value, so adjust the division and also use
DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST instead of the old "round down" behavior because the
spec says the value "should be programmed to get as close as possible
to the ideal rate of 2MHz".
Quoting Paulo's follow-up to a question from Chris Wilson to explain
what exactly will change:
I use the 337500 value on the next patch, when setting the
ips_linetime value. The correct frequency is 337500, not 338000.
ips_linetime = DIV_ROUND_CLOSEST(mode->htotal * 1000 * 8,
intel_ddi_get_cdclk_freq);
For a mode with htotal of 2640 [0] we'll have: (i) (2640 * 1000 * 8) /
338000 = 62.48, resulting in 62 and (ii) (2640 * 1000 * 8) / 337500 =
62.57 resulting in 63.
For the case inside intel_dp.c:
Previously we were using 338. So with the old formula we were writing
338/2 = 169 to the register. And 337500 / 169 = 1997.04 (we use 337500
here because it's the real clock value). With the new value of
337500/2000 we'll have 168.75, which is 168 on the round-down case and
169 on the round-closest case. If we write 168 to the register, 337500
/ 168 = 2008.92, and 2008.92 is more distant from 2000 than 1997.04.
So with this patch we're changing the formula but still writing the
same correct value to the DP AUX register.

The spec says the linetime watermarks must be programmed before
enabling any display low power watermarks, but we're currently
updating the linetime watermarks after we call intel_update_watermarks
(and only at crtc_mode_set, not at crtc_{enable,disable}). So IMHO the
best way guarantee the linetime watermarks will be updated before the
low power watermarks is inside the update_wm function, because it's
the function that enables low power watermarks. And since Haswell is
the only platform that has linetime watermarks, let's completely kill
the "intel_update_linetime_watermarks" abstraction and just use the
intel_update_watermarks abstraction by creating haswell_update_wm.
For now haswell_update_wm is still calling sandybridge_update_wm, but
in the future I plan to implement a function specific to Haswell.

The callback registration starts a waiting read, so it needs to be fired
everytime the device is enabled. Otherwise following writes will never get
an answer back.

The Kconfig symbol NFC_LLCP was removed in commit 30cc458765 ("NFC: Move
LLCP code to the NFC top level diirectory"). But the reference to its
macro in this Makefile was only commented out. Remove it now.

We can use this for fetching encoder specific pipe_config state, like
mode flags, adjusted clock, etc.
Just used for mode flags atm, so we can check the pipe config state at
mode set time.

Backmerge Linux 3.10-rc2 since the various (rather trivial) conflicts
grew a bit out of hand. intel_dp.c has the only real functional
conflict since the logic changed while dev_priv->edp.bpp was moved
around.
Also squash in a whitespace fixup from Ben Widawsky for
i915_gem_gtt.c, git seems to do something pretty strange in there
(which I don't fully understand tbh).

The AK8975 Kconfig option was renamed during the 3.10 merge window.
Adjust tegra_defconfig to enable the new name, so it's not missing
useful features.
Tegra DRM support used to be enabled in the default Tegra configuration,
but it now depends on CONFIG_TEGRA_HOST1X which is disabled by default.
Enable CONFIG_TEGRA_HOST1X so that DRM support is compiled in again.

The assignment of IRQ for the SMC91x ethernet adapter had two
problems making it non-working:
- It was not put into the ethernet device node. Let's do this
by using the board-specific overlay, so we can make other
overlays on other Nomadik boards.
- The IRQ number was actually completely wrong, this was the
number for NHK8815, not S8815.
After this ethernet starts working on the USB S8815.

When I tried booting a stih415 Dual core A9 with multi_v7_defconfig, it
failed to boot. The issues seems to be changing by enabling or disabling
VT8550 platform. Having a quick look at dt_compat list, it seems to miss
a NULL terminator, which means of_flat_dt_match will compat check will
cross the boundary of dt_compat and fault at some point , which is what
was happening in my case.
Without this patch if we try to boot multi_v7_defconfig you might notice
that some of the platforms might fault if they fall after vt8500 in
machine-desc list. Other platforms which fall before vt8500 in mdesc list
will not fault.

The USB clocks are just clock gates, so no need to set a specific clock.
In fact trying to set a specific clock is just a NOP if the requested
clockrate is the same as those of the parent (clk_m) or will trigger a
WARN_ON() if rates don't match up.
As we are not setting a specific rate, nor activating the clocks at
init, there is no point in keeping the the usb entries in the clock init
table.
