Due to the alignment of following variables, these typically consume
more than just the single byte that 'bool' requires, and as there are a
few hundred instances, the cache pollution (not so much the waste of
memory) sums up. Put these variables into their own section, outside of
any half way frequently used memory range.
Do the same also to the __warned variable of rcu_lockdep_assert().
(Don't, however, include the ones used by printk_once() and alike, as
they can potentially be hot.)

ARCH_HAS_NMI_WATCHDOG is a macro defined by arch, but config
HARDLOCKUP_DETECTOR depends on it. This is wrong, ARCH_HAS_NMI_WATCHDOG
has to be a Kconfig config, and arch's need it should select it
explicitly.

As described in commit e6fa16ab9c1e ("signal: sigprocmask() should do
retarget_shared_pending()") the modification of current->blocked is
incorrect as we need to check whether the signal we're about to block is
pending in the shared queue.
Also, use the new helper function introduced in commit 5e6292c0f28f
("signal: add block_sigmask() for adding sigmask to current->blocked")
which centralises the code for updating current->blocked after
successfully delivering a signal and reduces the amount of duplicate
code across architectures. In the past some architectures got this code
wrong, so using this helper function should stop that from happening
again.

We used to store the wall-to-monotonic offset and the realtime base.
It's faster to precompute the monotonic base.
This is about a 3% speedup on Sandy Bridge for CLOCK_MONOTONIC.
It's much more impressive for CLOCK_MONOTONIC_COARSE.

Commit 9863c90f682fba34cdc26c3437e8c00da6c83fa4 (x86, vmware: Remove
deprecated VMI kernel support) removed the only place which set
no_sync_cmos_clock. Since that commit, this variable is never set.

Folks have been getting a number of warnings about time
adjustments > 11%. The WARN_ON leaves a big useless backtrace
so this patch removes it for a printk_once().
I'm still working to narrow down the cause of the > 11% adjustment.

jonghwan Choi reported seeing warnings with the alarmtimer
code at suspend/resume time, and pointed out that the
rtctimer isn't being properly initialized.
This patch corrects this issue.

- After FW reset, IP addresses need to be reprogrammed to FW for LRO to work. This

cifs.ko has historically been tolerant of options that it does not
recognize. This is not normal behavior for a filesystem however.
Usually, it should only do this if you mount with '-s', and autofs
generally passes -s to the mount command to allow this behavior.
This patch makes cifs handle the option "sloppy" appropriately. If it's
present in the options string, then the client will tolerate options
that it doesn't recognize. If it's not present then the client will
error out in the presence of options that it does not recognize and
throw an error message explaining why.
There is also a companion patch being proposed for mount.cifs to make it
append "sloppy" to the mount options when passed the '-s' flag. This also
should (obviously) be applied on top of Sachin's conversion to the
standard option parser.

Use the standard token parser instead of the long if condition to parse
cifs mount options.
This was first proposed by Scott Lovenberg
http://lists.samba.org/archive/linux-cifs-client/2010-May/006079.html
Mount options have been grouped together in terms of their input types.
Aliases for username, password, domain and credentials have been added.
The password parser has been modified to make it easier to read.
Since the patch was first proposed, the following bugs have been fixed
1) Allow blank 'pass' option to be passed by the cifs mount helper when
using sec=none.
2) Do not explicitly set vol->nullauth to 0. This causes a problem
when using sec=none while also using a username.

cifs_update_eof has the potential to be racy if multiple threads are
trying to modify it at the same time. Protect modifications of the
server_eof value with the inode->i_lock.

The gfp flags are currently set to __GPF_HIGHMEM, which doesn't allow
for any reclaim. Make this more resilient by or'ing that with
GFP_KERNEL. Also, get rid of the goto and unify the exit codepath.

While in CIFS/SMB we have 16 bit mid, in SMB2 it is 64 bit.
Convert the existing field to 64 bit and mask off higher bits
for CIFS/SMB.

1) L2TP doesn't get autoloaded when you try to open an L2TP socket due

2) Netlabel and RDS should propagate gfp flags given to them by

3) Recursive locking fix in usbnet wasn't bulletproof and can result in

5) If SKB recycling is used via napi_reuse_skb() we end up with

7) We have callbacks for IPSEC replay notifiers, but some call sites
were not using the ops method and instead were calling one of the

8) Fix IP address validation properly in the bonding driver, the
previous fix only works with netlink where the subnet mask and IP
address are changed in one atomic operation. When 'ifconfig' ioctls
are used the IP address and the subnet mask are changed in two

Pull NFS client updates for Linux 3.4 from Trond Myklebust:
"New features include:
- Add NFS client support for containers.
This should enable most of the necessary functionality, including
lockd support, and support for rpc.statd, NFSv4 idmapper and
RPCSEC_GSS upcalls into the correct network namespace from which
the mount system call was issued.
- NFSv4 idmapper scalability improvements
Base the idmapper cache on the keyring interface to allow
concurrent access to idmapper entries. Start the process of
migrating users from the single-threaded daemon-based approach to
the multi-threaded request-key based approach.
- NFSv4.1 implementation id.
Allows the NFSv4.1 client and server to mutually identify each
other for logging and debugging purposes.
- Support the 'vers=4.1' mount option for mounting NFSv4.1 instead of
having to use the more counterintuitive 'vers=4,minorversion=1'.
- SUNRPC tracepoints.
Start the process of adding tracepoints in order to improve
debugging of the RPC layer.
- pNFS object layout support for autologin.
Important bugfixes include:
- Fix a bug in rpc_wake_up/rpc_wake_up_status that caused them to
fail to wake up all tasks when applied to priority waitqueues.
- Ensure that we handle read delegations correctly, when we try to
truncate a file.
- A number of fixes for NFSv4 state manager loops (mostly to do with
delegation recovery)."

Adjusting cc715d99e529 "mm: vmscan: forcibly scan highmem if there are
too many buffer_heads pinning highmem" for -stable reveals that it was
slightly wrong once on top of fe2c2a106663 "vmscan: reclaim at order 0
when compaction is enabled", which specifically adds testorder for the
zone_watermark_ok_safe() test.
