Before this patch the f71882fg driver completely fails to initialize on systems which have reserved settings in the pwm enable register, and it disables all auto pwm sysfs attributes if any fan is controlled by a digital sensor reading. This patch changes the fail to initialize into don't register any attributes for the fan for which there are reserved settings in the pwm enable register and also makes the not registering of auto pwm sysfs attributes a per fan thing. ADM1275 supports a second current limit, which can be configured as either lower or upper limit. Add support for it and report it as either lower or upper critical current limit. 2011-10-24hwmon: (pmbus) Don't return errors from driver remove functionsGuenter Roeck
Driver remove functions have an error return value, but rarely return an error in practice. If a driver does return an error from its remove function, the driver won't be unloaded and is expected to stay alive. pmbus_do_remove() is defined as returning an int, but always returns 0 (no error). Calling code passes that return value on to high level driver remove functions, but does not evaluate it and removes driver data even if pmbus_do_remove() returned an error (which it in practice never does). Even if this code could never cause a real problem, it is nevertheless conceptually wrong. To reduce confusion and simplify the code, change pmbus_do_remove() to be a void function, and have PMBus client drivers always return zero in their driver remove functions. There have new acer notebooks' BIOS provide new WMID_GUID3 and ACERWMID_EVENT_GUID methods. Some of machines still keep the old WMID_GUID1 method but more and more machines were already removed old wmi methods from DSDT. So, this patch add a new ACER_WMID_v2 interface flag to represent new acer notebooks, the following is definition: + ACER_WMID: It means this machine only provides WMID_GUID1/2 methods. + ACER_WMID_v2: It means this machine provide new WMID_GUID3 and WMID_EVENT_GUID methods. Some ACER_WMID_v2 machines also provide old WMID_GUID1/2 methods, but we still query/set communication device's state by new WMID_GUID3 method. 2011-10-24asus-laptop: Add rfkill support for Pegatron Lucid tabletAnisse Astier
Add three new rfkill switches in this driver that are specific to Pegatron Lucid tablet. Please note that you might not need all three switches. For example if you don't have a 3G module inside your tablet. Also, on my device, the gpio for the wifi/bt module is connected to the bluetooth line. Therefore to activate your wireless lan interface, you need to use the "pega-bt" rfkill switch. Finally, the rfkill switch only works before the wireless module is loaded the first time. Unloading ath9k doesn't help, a reboot is necessary. 2011-10-24ideapad: add event for Novo keyIke Panhc
Novo key is the Lenovo define key on every ideapads, which has two definition. Long press and short click. Driver will report KEY_PROG1 on short click and KEY_PROG2 when long press. On pre-install OS for ideapads there are application waiting for the event and there is no such application for Linux yet, so I think to report KEY_PROG is fine in anyway. Also change the scancode from hex to decimal because they are related to vpc bit in notify function which is in decimal.
