2016-11-30ieee802154: fakelb: print number of created fake devices during probeStefan Schmidt
When using fakelb with different network sizes it becomes handy to have the number of created fake devices printed in the log as well. Signed-off-by: Stefan Schmidt <stefan@osg.samsung.com>

2016-11-30at86rf230: fix cca ed values for rf233Alexander Aring
This patch changes the rssi base value to -94 for at86rf33 transceivers. The code before assumes a rssi base value of -91 which is for the at86rf231 transceiver only. This change need to update the cca ed threshold mapping table. 2016-11-30ieee802154: check device typevegard.nossum@oracle.com
I've observed a NULL pointer dereference in ieee802154_del_iface() during netlink fuzzing. It's the ->wpan_phy dereference here: phy = dev->ieee802154_ptr->wpan_phy; My bet is that we're not checking that this is an IEEE802154 interface, so let's do what ieee802154_nl_get_dev() is doing. (Maybe we should even be calling this directly?) 2016-11-30sched/x86: Make CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO=y easier to enableIngo Molnar
Right now CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO has X86_INTEL_PSTATE as a dependency, which is not enabled by default and which hides the CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO hardware-enabling feature. Select X86_INTEL_PSTATE instead, plus its dependency (CPU_FREQ), if the user enables CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO=y. (Also align the CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO Kconfig help text in standard style.) 2016-11-30sched/x86: Change CONFIG_SCHED_ITMT to CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIOTim Chen
Rename CONFIG_SCHED_ITMT for Intel Turbo Boost Max Technology 3.0 to CONFIG_SCHED_MC_PRIO. This makes the configuration extensible in future to other architectures that wish to similarly establish CPU core priorities support in the scheduler. The description in Kconfig is updated to reflect this change with added details for better clarity. The configuration is explicitly default-y, to enable the feature on CPUs that have this feature. It has no effect on non-TBM3 CPUs. 2016-11-29net: macb: fix the RX queue reset in macb_rx()Cyrille Pitchen
On macb only (not gem), when a RX queue corruption was detected from macb_rx(), the RX queue was reset: during this process the RX ring buffer descriptor was initialized by macb_init_rx_ring() but we forgot to also set bp->rx_tail to 0. Indeed, when processing the received frames, bp->rx_tail provides the macb driver with the index in the RX ring buffer of the next buffer to process. So when the whole ring buffer is reset we must also reset bp->rx_tail so the driver is synchronized again with the hardware. Since macb_init_rx_ring() is called from many locations, currently from macb_rx() and macb_init_rings(), we'd rather add the "bp->rx_tail = 0;" line inside macb_init_rx_ring() than add the very same line after each call of this function. Without this fix, the rx queue is not reset properly to recover from queue corruption and connection drop may occur. 2016-11-29netlink: Call cb->done from a worker threadHerbert Xu
The cb->done interface expects to be called in process context. This was broken by the netlink RCU conversion. This patch fixes it by adding a worker struct to make the cb->done call where necessary. 2016-11-29net/sched: pedit: make sure that offset is validAmir Vadai
Add a validation function to make sure offset is valid: 1. Not below skb head (could happen when offset is negative). 2. Validate both 'offset' and 'at'. Signed-off-by: Amir Vadai <amir@vadai.me> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2016-11-29Merge branch 'eee-broken-modes'David S. Miller
Jerome Brunet says: ==================== Fix OdroidC2 Gigabit Tx link issue This patchset fixes an issue with the OdroidC2 board (DWMAC + RTL8211F). The platform seems to enter LPI on the Rx path too often while performing relatively high TX transfer. This eventually break the link (both Tx and Rx), and require to bring the interface down and up again to get the Rx path working again. The root cause of this issue is not fully understood yet but disabling EEE advertisement on the PHY prevent this feature to be negotiated. With this change, the link is stable and reliable, with the expected throughput performance. The patchset adds options in the generic phy driver to disable EEE advertisement, through device tree. The way it is done is very similar to the handling of the max-speed property. Changes since V2: [2] - Rename "eee-advert-disable" to "eee-broken-modes" to make the intended purpose of this option clear (flag broken configuration, not a configuration option) - Add DT bindings constants so the DT configuration is more user friendly - Submit to net-next instead of net. Changes since V1: [1] - Disable the advertisement of EEE in the generic code instead of the realtek driver.
