This doesn't show up unless you do quite a bit of testing; a simple
boot test does not do this, so all my nightly tests were passing fine.
The reason for this is that install_special_mapping() expects the
page array to stick around, and as this was only inserting one page
which was stored on the kernel stack, that's why this was blowing up.

Fixed two issues with changing the timestamp clock with trace_clock:
- The global buffer was reset on instance clock changes. Change this to pass
the correct per-instance buffer
- ftrace_now() is used to set buf->time_start in tracing_reset_online_cpus().
This was incorrect because ftrace_now() used the global buffer's clock to
return the current time. Change this to use buffer_ftrace_now() which
returns the current time for the correct per-instance buffer.
Also removed tracing_reset_current() because it is not used anywhere

Releasing the free_buffer file in an instance causes the global buffer
to be stopped when TRACE_ITER_STOP_ON_FREE is enabled. Operate on the
correct buffer.

tracing_read_pipe zeros all fields bellow "seq". The declaration contains
a comment about that, but it doesn't help.
The first field is "snapshot", it's true when current open file is
snapshot. Looks obvious, that it should not be zeroed.
The second field is "started". It was converted from cpumask_t to
cpumask_var_t (v2.6.28-4983-g4462344), in other words it was
converted from cpumask to pointer on cpumask.
Currently the reference on "started" memory is lost after the first read
from tracing_read_pipe and a proper object will never be freed.
The "started" is never dereferenced for trace_pipe, because trace_pipe
can't have the TRACE_FILE_ANNOTATE options.

NetLabel has the ability to selectively assign network security labels
to outbound traffic based on either the LSM's "domain" (different for
each LSM), the network destination, or a combination of both. Depending
on the type of traffic, local or forwarded, and the type of traffic
selector, domain or address based, different hooks are used to label the
traffic; the goal being minimal overhead.
Unfortunately, there is a bug such that a system using NetLabel domain
based traffic selectors does not correctly label outbound local traffic
that is not assigned to a socket. The issue is that in these cases
the associated NetLabel hook only looks at the address based selectors
and not the domain based selectors. This patch corrects this by
checking both the domain and address based selectors so that the correct
labeling is applied, regardless of the configuration type.
In order to acomplish this fix, this patch also simplifies some of the
NetLabel domainhash structures to use a more common outbound traffic
mapping type: struct netlbl_dommap_def. This simplifies some of the code
in this patch and paves the way for further simplifications in the
future.

fbdev provides framebuffer hotplugging, hence, we need to allow fbcon to
unbind from framebuffers. Unfortunately, fbcon_fb_unbind() cannot unbind
from the last framebuffer, unless console-unbinding is supported.
Fixing fbcon_unbind() to return 0 caused some horrible NULL-derefs in the
VT layer and I couldn't figure out why. Hence, lets just require
console-unbinding so fbdev hotplugging works with fbcon.

x86 creates platform-framebuffer platform devices for every system
framebuffer. Use these instead of creating a dummy device.
This requires us to remove the __init annotations as hotplugging may occur
during runtime.

32bit XRGB and ARGB are used by modern x86 systems for EFI and VESA
framebuffers. The other formats were reported by hpa to be most common.
Add these so simplefb works on most common x86 systems.

The current situation regarding boot-framebuffers (VGA, VESA/VBE, EFI) on
x86 causes troubles when loading multiple fbdev drivers. The global
"struct screen_info" does not provide any state-tracking about which
drivers use the FBs. request_mem_region() theoretically works, but
unfortunately vesafb/efifb ignore it due to quirks for broken boards.
Avoid this by creating a platform framebuffer devices with a pointer
to the "struct screen_info" as platform-data. Drivers can now create
platform-drivers and the driver-core will refuse multiple drivers being
active simultaneously.
We keep the screen_info available for backwards-compatibility. Drivers
can be converted in follow-up patches.
Different devices are created for VGA/VESA/EFI FBs to allow multiple
drivers to be loaded on distro kernels. We create:
- "vesa-framebuffer" for VBE/VESA graphics FBs
- "efi-framebuffer" for EFI FBs
- "platform-framebuffer" for everything else
This allows to load vesafb, efifb and others simultaneously and each
picks up only the supported FB types.
Apart from platform-framebuffer devices, this also introduces a
compatibility option for "simple-framebuffer" drivers which recently got
introduced for OF based systems. If CONFIG_X86_SYSFB is selected, we
try to match the screen_info against a simple-framebuffer supported
format. If we succeed, we create a "simple-framebuffer" device instead
of a platform-framebuffer.
This allows to reuse the simplefb.c driver across architectures and also
to introduce a SimpleDRM driver. There is no need to have vesafb.c,
efifb.c, simplefb.c and more just to have architecture specific quirks
in their setup-routines.
Instead, we now move the architecture specific quirks into x86-setup and
provide a generic simple-framebuffer. For backwards-compatibility (if
strange formats are used), we still allow vesafb/efifb to be loaded
simultaneously and pick up all remaining devices.

fbdev-core uses FBINFO_MISC_FIRMWARE to mark drivers that use firmware
framebuffers. Furthermore, we now allocate apertures for the fbinfo
device.
Both information is used by remove_conflicting_framebuffers() to remove a
fbdev device whenever a real driver is loaded. This is used heavily on x86
for VGA/vesa/EFI framebuffers, but is also of great use for all other
systems.
Especially with x86 support for simplefb, this information is needed to
unload simplefb before a real hw-driver (like i915, radeon, nouveau) is
loaded.

If we create proper platform-devices in x86 boot-code, we can use simplefb
for VBE or EFI framebuffers, too. However, there is normally no OF support
so we introduce a platform_data object so x86 boot-code can pass the
parameters via plain old platform-data.
This also removes the OF dependency as it is not needed. The headers
provide proper dummies for the case OF is disabled.
Furthermore, we move the FORMAT-definitions to the common platform header
so initialization code can use it to transform "struct screen_info" to
the right format-name.

It's possible to assign an invalid value to the net.core.somaxconn
sysctl variable, because there is no checks at all.
The sk_max_ack_backlog field of the sock structure is defined as
unsigned short. Therefore, the backlog argument in inet_listen()
shouldn't exceed USHRT_MAX. The backlog argument in the listen() syscall
is truncated to the somaxconn value. So, the somaxconn value shouldn't
exceed 65535 (USHRT_MAX).
Also, negative values of somaxconn are meaningless.

Normally, on one PCI bus there would be more devices than bridges. When
calculating the depth of a PCI bus, it would be more time efficient to
enumerating through the child buses instead of the child devices.
Also by doing so, the code seems more self explaining. Previously, it went
through the devices and checked whether a bridge introduced a child bus or
not, which needs more background knowledge to understand it.
This patch calculates the depth by enumerating the bus hierarchy.

"Yet another GPIO pull request, fixing the fix from the last one. It
turns out that fixing the boot path for device tree boots on OMAP
breaks out antique systems (such as OMAP1) and we need to find a
better way. So we're reverting that "fix" for the moment and thinking
about something better.

Commit 5c766d642 ("ipv4: introduce address lifetime") leaves the ifa
resource that was allocated via inet_alloc_ifa() unfreed when returning
the function with -EINVAL. Thus, free it first via inet_free_ifa().

This message was added in commit a7154cb8 (June 2004, [PATCH] r8169:
link handling and phy reset rework) and is printed every ten seconds
when no cable is connected and runtime power management is disabled.
(Before that commit, "Reset RTL8169s PHY" would be printed instead.)
