The IIO_ST macro no longer covers all the elements of struct scan_type
and has this has lead to some bugs being introduced.
The drivers are easier to follow with this structure being directly
filled so that is now preferred.

Note this also sets the endianness to big endian whereas it would
previously have defaulted to the cpu endian. Hence technically
this is a bug fix on LE platforms.

A single channel in this driver was using the IIO_ST macro.
This does not provide a parameter for setting the endianness of
the channel. Thus this channel will have been reported as whatever
is the native endianness of the cpu rather than big endian. This
means it would be incorrect on little endian platforms.

missuse of the IIO_ST macro.
This driver sets the shift value equal to IIO_BE (or 1) rather than setting
that to 0 and specificying the endianness. This means the channel type is
missreported as
[be|le]:u16/16>>1 where the be|le is dependent on the cpu native endianness,
rather than
be:u16/16>>0 resulting in any userspace code using this information, miss
converting the channel and generating thoroughly trashed data.

This is similar to the set_peek_off patch where calling bind while the
socket is stuck in unix_dgram_recvmsg() will block and cause a hung task
spew after a while.
This is also the last place that did a straightforward mutex_lock(), so
there shouldn't be any more of these patches.

Those functions stringify filter arguments.
As caller of those functions handles NULL string properly, it seems that
it's enough to return NULL rather than calling die().

Using sk_dst_lock from softirq context is not supported right now.
Instead of adding BH protection everywhere,
udp_sk_rx_dst_set() can instead use xchg(), as suggested
by David.

This is because we hold the rtnl_lock() before ndo_change_mtu() and try to flush
the work in netvsc_change_mtu(), in the mean time, netdev_notify_peers() may be
called from worker and also trying to hold the rtnl_lock. This will lead the
flush won't succeed forever. Solve this by not canceling and flushing the work,
this is safe because the transmission done by NETDEV_NOTIFY_PEERS was
synchronized with the netif_tx_disable() called by netvsc_change_mtu().

It was called "data_type", but in this context "data" is way too vague,
it could mean the "data" ELF segment, or something else.
Since we have dso__read_binary_type_filename() and the values this field
receives are all DSO__BINARY_TYPE_<FOO> we may as well call it
"binary_type" for consistency sake.
It also seems more appropriate since it determines if we can do
operations like annotation and DWARF unwinding, that needs more than
just the symtab, requiring access to ELF text segments, CFI ELF
sections, etc.

If a user calls 'cpupower set --perf-bias 15', the process will end with
a SIGSEGV in libc because cpupower-set passes a NULL optarg to the atoi
call. This is because the getopt_long structure currently has all of
the options as having an optional_argument when they really have a
required argument. We change the structure to use required_argument to
match the short options and it resolves the issue.

In the nokia gadget some USB functions (obex 1 and 2, phonet) are optional.
If at the start of nokia_bind_config e.g. fi_phonet is an error pointer,
which can happen because we don't fail the bind process if
usb_get_function_instance() fails for fi_phonet, then f_phonet is NULL, and
phonet_stat = usb_add_function(c, f_phonet);
is never called and phonet_stat remains 0.
If, in these circumstances, we hit the err_conf label then !phonet_stat
evaluates to true and we try usb_remove_function() with its second
parameter being f_phonet which is NULL and it causes NULL pointer
dereference.
This patch changes the initial values of (obex1|obex2|phonet)_stat to a
nonzero value so that if the err_conf label is hit while the respective
functions have not been acquired the usb_remove_function() is not called
for those functions.

This patch adds "maxpacket_limit" to struct usb_ep. This field contains
maximum value of maxpacket supported by driver, and is set in driver probe.
This value should be used by autoconfig() function, because value of field
"maxpacket" is set to value from endpoint descriptor when endpoint becomes
enabled. So when autoconfig() function will be called again for this endpoint,
"maxpacket" value will contain wMaxPacketSize from descriptior instead of
maximum packet size for this endpoint.
For this reason this patch adds new field "maxpacket_limit" which contains
value of maximum packet size (which defines maximum endpoint capabilities).
This value is used in ep_matches() function used by autoconfig().
Value of "maxpacket_limit" should be set in UDC driver probe function, using
usb_ep_set_maxpacket_limit() function, defined in gadget.h. This function
set choosen value to both "maxpacket_limit" and "maxpacket" fields.
This patch modifies UDC drivers by adding support for maxpacket_limit.

This patch adds a driver workaround for a HW issue.
A race condition in the HW results in missing interrupts,
which can be avoided by a read/write with the ISR register.
All chips in the AR9002 series are affected by this bug - AR9003
and above do not have this problem.

The GMCH_CTRL register (or MGCC in the spec) is at a different address
on Sandybridge, and the address to which we currently write to is
undefined. These stray writes appear to upset (hard hang) my Ivybridge
machine whilst it is in UEFI mode.
Note that the register is still marked as locked RO on Sandybridge, so

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

Commit 559c71fe5dc3 ("Staging: TIDSPBRIDGE: Use vm_iomap_memory for
mmap-ing instead of remap_pfn_range") had the effect of inadvertently
shifting the start of the physical memory area mapped by
pdata->phys_mempool_base. Correct this by subtracting that shift before
calling vm_iomap_memory() and adding it back afterwards.

The comedi_lrange tables are fixed length based on the 'length' value
before the array of comedi_krange 'range' values. For aesthetics, remove
the trailing comma from last 'range' value.
