2015-01-07gpu: ipu-di: Add ipu_di_adjust_videomode()Jiada Wang
On some monitors, high resolution modes are not working, exhibiting pixel column truncation problems (for example, 1280x1024 displays as 1280x1022). The function ipu_di_adjust_videomode() aims to fix these issues by adjusting a passed videomode to IPU restrictions. The function can be called from the drm_crtc_helper_funcs->mode_fixup() methods. HDMI_IH_I2CMPHY_STAT0 is a clear on write register, which indicates i2cm operation status(i2c transfer done or error), every hdmi phy register configuration must check this register to make sure the configuration has complete. But the indication bit should be cleared after check, otherwise the corresponding bit will hold on forever, this may give a wrong signal for next check. 2015-01-07vfio-pci: Fix the check on pci device type in vfio_pci_probe()Wei Yang
Current vfio-pci just supports normal pci device, so vfio_pci_probe() will return if the pci device is not a normal device. While current code makes a mistake. PCI_HEADER_TYPE is the offset in configuration space of the device type, but we use this value to mask the type value. This patch fixs this by do the check directly on the pci_dev->hdr_type. 2015-01-07drm/i915: Add ioctl to set per-context parametersChris Wilson
Sometimes we wish to tweak how an individual context behaves. Since we always create a context for every filp, this means that individual processes can fine tune their behaviour even if they do not explicitly create a context. The first example parameter here is to enable multi-process GPU testing, but the interface should be able to cope with passing arbitrarily complex parameters. 2015-01-07drm/i915: Push vblank enable/disable past encoder->enable/disableDaniel Vetter
It is platform/output depenedent when exactly the pipe will start running. Sometimes we just need the (cpu) pipe enabled, in other cases the pch transcoder is enough and in yet other cases the (DP) port is sending the frame start signal. In a perfect world we'd put the drm_crtc_vblank_on call exactly where the pipe starts running, but due to cloning and similar things this will get messy. And the current approach of picking the most conservative place for all combinations also doesn't work since that results in legit vblank waits (in encoder->enable hooks, e.g. the 2 vblank waits for sdvo) failing. Completely going back to the old world before commit 51e31d49c89055299e34b8f44d13f70e19aaaad1 Author: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Date: Mon Sep 15 12:36:02 2014 +0200 drm/i915: Use generic vblank wait isn't great either since screaming when the vblank wait work because the pipe is off is kinda nice. Pick a compromise and move the drm_crtc_vblank_on right before the encoder->enable call. This is a lie on some outputs/platforms, but after the ->enable callback the pipe is guaranteed to run everywhere. So not that bad really. 2015-01-07cfg80211: fix deadlock during reg chan checkArik Nemtsov
If a P2P GO is active, the cfg80211_reg_can_beacon function will take the wdev lock, in its call to cfg80211_go_permissive_chan. But the wdev lock is already taken by the parent channel-checking function, causing a deadlock. Split the checking code into two parts. The first part will check if the wdev is active and saves the channel under the wdev lock. The second part will check actual channel validity according to type. 2015-01-07thermal: rcar: fix ENR register valueYoshihiro Shimoda
On R-Mobile APE6, since it has 3 thermal zones, ENR register has enable bits in bit 19-16, bit 11-8 and bit 3-0. However, on R-Car gen2, since it has 1 thermal zone, ENR register has enable bits in bit 3-0. (In other words, the write value should always be 0 for bit 31-4 of ENR register.) So, this patch fixes the ENR register value using I/O resource sets. 2015-01-07arm64: sanity checks: add missing AArch32 registersMark Rutland
We don't currently check a number of registers exposed to AArch32 guests (MVFR{0,1,2}_EL1 and ID_DFR0_EL1), despite the fact these describe AArch32 feature support exposed to userspace and KVM guests similarly to AArch64 registers which we do check. We do not expect these registers to vary across a set of CPUs. This patch adds said registers to the cpuinfo framework and sanity checks. 2015-01-07arm64: Correct __NR_compat_syscalls for bpfMark Rutland
Commit 97b56be10352a70c (arm64: compat: Enable bpf syscall) made the usual mistake of forgetting to update __NR_compat_syscalls. Due to this, when el0_sync_compat calls el0_svc_naked, the test against sc_nr (__NR_compat_syscalls) will fail, and we'll call ni_sys, returning -ENOSYS to userspace. This patch bumps __NR_compat_syscalls appropriately, enabling the use of the bpf syscall from compat tasks. Due to the reorganisation of unistd{,32}.h as part of commit f3e5c847ec3d12b4 (arm64: Add __NR_* definitions for compat syscalls) it is not currently possible to include both headers and sanity-check the value of __NR_compat_syscalls at build-time to prevent this from happening again. Additional rework is required to make such niceties a possibility. Using the sysfs inteface to inspect the pins configuration the system can walk around a path which acquires the same mutex twice. On STiH407 platform, for example : cat /sys/kernel/debug/pinctrl/920f080.pin-controller-front0/pinconf-pins hangs the kernel and never returns. With this patch the mutex is temporary freed. 2015-01-07gpio: dln2: fix issue when an IRQ is unmasked then enabledOctavian Purdila
As noticed during suspend/resume operations, the IRQ can be unmasked then disabled in suspend and eventually enabled in resume, but without being unmasked. The current implementation does not take into account interactions between mask/unmask and enable/disable interrupts, and thus in the above scenarios the IRQs remain unactive. To fix this we removed the enable/disable operations as they fallback to mask/unmask anyway. We also remove the pending bitmaks as it is already done in irq_data (i.e. IRQS_PENDING). 2015-01-07irqchip: omap-intc: Fix legacy DMA regressionFelipe Balbi
commit 55601c9f2467 (arm: omap: intc: switch over to linear irq domain) introduced a regression with SDMA legacy driver because that driver strictly depends on INTC's IRQs starting at NR_IRQs. Aparently irq_domain_add_linear() won't guarantee that, since we see a 7 IRQs difference when booting with and without the commit cited above. Until arch/arm/plat-omap/dma.c is properly fixed, we must maintain OMAP2/3 using irq_domain_add_legacy(). A FIXME note was added so people know to delete that code once that legacy DMA driver is fixed up. 2015-01-07irqchip: mtk-sysirq: Use IS_ERR() instead of NULL pointer checkYingjoe Chen
Beniamino noticed a bug that an invalid DT file for the mediatek interrupt polarity extension will cause kernel oops. The reason is that the interrupt polarity support for mediatek chips merely checks for NULL pointer instead of a casted error return value in mtk_sysirq_of_init() so any other casted error value passes the NULL pointer check and causes a kernel panic when dereferenced. Use IS_ERR() and return the error value via PTR_ERR().
