of_parse_phandle of_node_put needs to be called when the device node which is got from of_parse_phandle has finished using. This commit fixes both local (in stmmac_axi_setup) and global (plat->phy_node) device_node for this issue, and using the correct device node when tries to put node at stmmac_probe_config_dt for error path. 2016-08-018139too: fix system hang when there is a tx timeout event.Chun-Hao Lin
If tx timeout event occur, kernel will call rtl8139_tx_timeout_task() to reset hardware. But in this function, driver does not stop tx and rx function before reset hardware, that will cause system hang. In this patch, add stop tx and rx function before reset hardware. 2016-08-02vhost: convert pre sorted vhost memory array to interval treeJason Wang
Current pre-sorted memory region array has some limitations for future device IOTLB conversion: 1) need extra work for adding and removing a single region, and it's expected to be slow because of sorting or memory re-allocation. 2) need extra work of removing a large range which may intersect several regions with different size. 3) need trick for a replacement policy like LRU To overcome the above shortcomings, this patch convert it to interval tree which can easily address the above issue with almost no extra work. The patch could be used for: - Extend the current API and only let the userspace to send diffs of memory table. - Simplify Device IOTLB implementation. 2016-08-02vhost: introduce vhost memory accessorsJason Wang
This patch introduces vhost memory accessors which were just wrappers for userspace address access helpers. This is a requirement for vhost device iotlb implementation which will add iotlb translations in those accessors. Signed-off-by: Jason Wang <jasowang@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Michael S. 2016-08-02VSOCK: defer sock removal to transportsStefan Hajnoczi
The virtio transport will implement graceful shutdown and the related SO_LINGER socket option. This requires orphaning the sock but keeping it in the table of connections after .release(). This patch adds the vsock_remove_sock() function and leaves it up to the transport when to remove the sock. Signed-off-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2016-08-02VSOCK: transport-specific vsock_transport functionsStefan Hajnoczi
struct vsock_transport contains function pointers called by AF_VSOCK core code. The transport may want its own transport-specific function pointers and they can be added after struct vsock_transport. Allow the transport to fetch vsock_transport. It can downcast it to access transport-specific function pointers. The virtio transport will use this. 2016-08-01SUNRPC: accept() may return sockets that are still in SYN_RECVTrond Myklebust

The culprit appears to be the test at the end of svc_tcp_init, which checks if the newly created socket is in the TCP_ESTABLISHED state, and immediately closes it if not. The evidence appears to suggest that the socket might still be in the SYN_RECV state at this time. The fix is to check for both states, and then to add a check in svc_tcp_state_change() to ensure we don't close the socket when it transitions into TCP_ESTABLISHED. 2016-08-01perf annotate: Plug filename string leakArnaldo Carvalho de Melo
If dso__build_id_filename(..., NULL, ...) returns !NULL its because it allocated it, so, when reaching the 'if (dso__is_kcore()) test, we already checked that and were just "fallbacking" to using dso->long_name, but without freeing filename, thus leaking it. Fix it by adding the dso__is_kcore() test to the 'or' group just after it, the one containing the full fallback code, including freeing the filename. 2016-08-01perf annotate: Introduce strerror for handling symbol__disassemble() errorsArnaldo Carvalho de Melo
We were just using pr_error() which makes it difficult for non stdio UIs to provide errors using its widgets, as they need to somehow catch what was passed to pr_error(). Fix it by introducing a __strerror() interface like the ones used elsewhere, for instance target__strerror(). This is just the initial step, more work will be done, but first some error handling bugs noticed while working on this need to be dealt with. debugfs_create_file returns NULL on error so an IS_ERR test is incorrect here and a NULL check is required.
