tipc_node_create routine doesn't need to check whether a node
object specified with a node address exists or not because its
caller(ie, tipc_disc_recv_msg routine) has checked this before
calling it.

Currently we allocated anon_inode_inode in anon_inodefs_mount. This is
somewhat fragile as if that function ever gets called again, it will
overwrite anon_inode_inode pointer. So move the initialization of
anon_inode_inode to anon_inode_init().

Messages about discovered disk properties are only printed once unless
they are found to have changed. Errors encountered during mode sense,
however, are printed every time we revalidate.
Quiesce mode sense errors so they are only printed during the first
scan.

This allows drivers to specify the size of their per-command private
data in the host template and then get extra memory allocated for
each command instead of needing another allocation in ->queuecommand.
With the current SCSI code that already does multiple allocations for
each command this probably doesn't make a big performance impact, but
it allows to clean up the drivers, and prepare them for using the
blk-mq infrastructure where the common allocation will make a difference.

We don't use the passed in scsi command for anything, so just add a adapter-
wide internal status to go along with the internal scb that is used unter
int_mtx to pass back the return value and get rid of all the complexities
and abuse of the scsi_cmnd structure.
This gets rid of the only user of scsi_allocate_command/scsi_free_command,
which can now be removed.

EVPD page 0x83 is used to uniquely identify the device.
So instead of having each and every program issue a separate
SG_IO call to retrieve this information it does make far more
sense to display it in sysfs.
Some older devices (most notably tapes) will only report reliable
information in page 0x80 (Unit Serial Number). So export this
in the sysfs attribute 'vpd_pg80'.

We should be returning the number of bytes of the
requested VPD page in scsi_vpd_inquiry.
This makes it easier for the caller to verify the
required space.

Make sata_mv host driver depend on PCI || ARCH_DOVE || ARCH_KIRKWOOD ||
ARCH_MV78XX0 || ARCH_MVEBU || ARCH_ORION5X config options as Marvell
SATA support covers both Marvell PCI devices and Marvell Dove, Kirkwood,
MV78xx0, Armada 370/XP and Orion5x SoCs (for non-PCI devices the driver
to work requires suitable device tree node or platform device to be
defined). Additionally allow the driver build if COMPILE_TEST config
option is set.

The scenario here is that someone calls enable_irq_wake() from somewhere
in the code. This will result in the lockdep producing a backtrace as can
be seen below. In my case, this problem is triggered when using the wl1271
(TI WlCore) driver found in drivers/net/wireless/ti/ .
The problem cause is rather obvious from the backtrace, but let's outline
the dependency. enable_irq_wake() grabs the IRQ buslock in irq_set_irq_wake(),
which in turns calls mxs_gpio_set_wake_irq() . But mxs_gpio_set_wake_irq()
calls enable_irq_wake() again on the one-level-higher IRQ , thus it tries to
grab the IRQ buslock again in irq_set_irq_wake() . Because the spinlock in
irq_set_irq_wake()->irq_get_desc_buslock()->__irq_get_desc_lock() is not
marked as recursive, lockdep will spew the stuff below.
We know we can safely re-enter the lock, so use IRQ_GC_INIT_NESTED_LOCK to
fix the spew.

This patch replaces rcu_assign_pointer(x, NULL) with RCU_INIT_POINTER(x, NULL)
The rcu_assign_pointer() ensures that the initialization of a structure
is carried out before storing a pointer to that structure.
And in the case of the NULL pointer, there is no structure to initialize.
So, rcu_assign_pointer(p, NULL) can be safely converted to RCU_INIT_POINTER(p, NULL)

The orignal code will use the bigger rate between
"previous rate" and "current rate" when caculate the
rate.
In fact, hardware cares about the closest one.
So choose the closer rate between "previous rate" and
"current rate".

The formula is numerator/denominator = Fin / (Fout * factor)
So
Fout = Fin * denominator / (numerator * factor).
Current clk_factor_round_rate and clk_factor_recalc_rate use
wrong formula. This patch will fix them.

If we were on a non-optimus device, we'd return -EINVAL, this would
lead to the over engineered runtime pm system to go into an error
state, subsequent get_sync's would fail, so we'd never be able
to open the device again.
(like really get_sync shouldn't fail if the device isn't powered
down).

this stops the device from being deleted before all the dma-bufs
on it are freed, this fixes an oops when you unplug a udl device while
it has imported a buffer from another device.

The recently added PTN3460 device driver uses interfaces that
are provided by the KMS helper infrastructure, so we should
explicitly select that to avoid this linker error:

When building a kernel with support for both ARMv6 and ARMv7 but
no MMU, the call from tauros2_internal_init to adjust_cr causes
a link error. While that could probably be resolved, we don't
actually support cache-tauros2 on ARMv6 any more. All PJ4 CPU
implementations support both ARMv6 and ARMv7 and we already assume
that we are using them only in ARMv7 mode.
Removing the ARMv6 code path reduces the code size and avoids
the linker error.

Moxart uses an FA526 CPU core, which is ARMv4 based, not ARMv4T.
Before moxart, we had no CONFIG_MULTI_V4 option, since no ARMv4 platform
was enabled for multiplatform. This now adds the missing option, which
will give us slightly more efficient code on pure moxart kernels,
because we can build a pure FA526 kernel now rather than a combined
FA526+ARM920T kernel that we used to.

tegra_defconfig in commit d1c912c1001f "ARM: tegra: defconfig updates".

Neither Tegra114 nor Tegra124 allow "low power mode" to be configured
on SDIO1 or SDIO3 drive groups. Remove the attempt to configure that
option from the Dalmore and Venice2 DTs.
The Venice2 DT contained duplicate configurations for most sdmmc1_*
pins. Remove the duplicate pins from one of the nodes, and fix the
configuration since the remaining clk pin is output-only.

The HAVE_PWM symbol is only for legacy platforms that provide the PWM
API without using the generic framework. The jz4740 platform uses the
generic PWM framework, after the commit "f6b8a57 pwm: Add Ingenic
JZ4740 support".
