This reverts commit e9bf96943b408e6c99dd13fb01cb907335787c61.
The topic of the reverted patch is the support for switches with global
VLAN filtering, added by commit 061f6a505ac3 ("net: dsa: Add
ndo_vlan_rx_{add, kill}_vid implementation"). Be there a switch with 4
ports swp0 -> swp3, and the following setup:
ip link add br0 type bridge vlan_filtering 1
ip link set swp0 master br0
ip link set swp1 master br0
What would happen with VLAN-tagged traffic received on standalone ports
swp2 and swp3? Well, it would get dropped, were it not for the
.ndo_vlan_rx_add_vid and .ndo_vlan_rx_kill_vid implementations (called
from vlan_vid_add and vlan_vid_del respectively). Basically, for DSA
switches where VLAN filtering is a global attribute, we enforce the
standalone ports to have 'rx-vlan-filter: off [fixed]' in their ethtool
features, which lets the user know that all VLAN-tagged packets that are
not explicitly added in the RX filtering list are dropped.
As for the sja1105 driver, at the time of the reverted patch, it was
operating in a pretty handicapped mode when it had ports under a bridge
with vlan_filtering=1. Specifically, it was unable to terminate traffic
through the CPU port (for further explanation see "Traffic support" in
Documentation/networking/dsa/sja1105.rst).
However, since then, the sja1105 driver has made considerable progress,
and that limitation is no longer as severe now. Specifically, since
commit 2cafa72e516f ("net: dsa: sja1105: add a new
best_effort_vlan_filtering devlink parameter"), the driver is able to
perform CPU termination even when some ports are under bridges with
vlan_filtering=1. Then, since commit 8841f6e63f2c ("net: dsa: sja1105:
make devlink property best_effort_vlan_filtering true by default"), this
even became the default operating mode.
So we can now take advantage of the logic in the DSA core.

IOMMU errors have been reported if WoL is enabled and interface is
brought down. It turned out that the network chip triggers DMA
transfers after the DMA buffers have been freed. For WoL to work we
need to leave rx enabled, therefore simply stop the chip from being
a DMA busmaster.

This series starts with two patches that should have been included
in an earlier series. With these in place, QSB settings are
programmed from information found in the data files rather than
being embedded in code. Support is then added for reprenting
another QSB property (supported for IPA v4.0+).
The third patch updates the definition of the sequencer type used
for an endpoint. Previously a set of 2-byte symbols with fairly
long names defined the sequencer type, but now those are broken into
1-byte halves whose names are a little more informative.
The fourth patch moves the sequencer type definition so it only
applies to TX endpoints (they aren't valid for RX endpoints). And
the last makes some minor documentation updates.

We only program the sequencer type for TX endpoints. So move the
definition of the sequencer type fields into the TX-specific portion
of the endpoint configuration data. There's no need to maintain
this in the IPA structure; we can extract it from the configuration
data it points to in the one spot it's needed.
We previously specified the sequencer type for RX endpoints with
INVALID values. These are no longer needed, so get rid of them.

An IPA endpoint has a sequencer that must be configured based on how
the endpoint is to be used. Currently the IPA code programs the
sequencer type by splitting a value into four 4-bit nibbles. Doing
that doesn't really add much value, and regardless, a better way of
splitting the sequencer type is into two halves--the lower byte
describing how normal packet processing is handled, and the next
byte describing information about processing replicas.
So split the sequencer type into two sub-parts: the sequencer type
and the replication sequencer type. Define the values supported for
the "main" sequencer type, and define the values supported for the
replication part separately.
In addition, the sequencer type names are quite verbose, encoding
what the type includes, but also what it *excludes*. Rename the
sequencer types in a way that mainly describes the number of passes
that a packet takes through the IPA processing pipeline, and how
many of those passes end by supplying the processed packet to the
microprocessor.
The result expands the supported types beyond what is required for
now, but simplifies the way these are defined.

Starting with IPA v4.0, a limit is placed on the number of bytes
outstanding in a transaction, to reduce latency. The limit is
imposed only if this value is non-zero.
We don't use a non-zero value for SC7180, but newer versions of IPA
do. Prepare for that by allowing a programmed value to be specified
in the platform configuration data.

Use the QSB configuration data in ipa_hardware_config_qsb(), rather
than determining in code what values to use based on IPA version.
Pass configuration data to ipa_hardware_config() so it can be passed
to ipa_hardware_config_qsb().

ipa: fix validation
There is sanity checking code in the IPA driver that's meant to be
enabled only during development. This allows the driver to make
certain assumptions, but not have to verify those assumptions are
true at (operational) runtime. This code is built conditional on
IPA_VALIDATION, set (if desired) inside the IPA makefile.
Unfortunately, this validation code has some errors. First, there
are some mismatched arguments supplied to some dev_err() calls in
ipa_cmd_table_valid() and ipa_cmd_header_valid(), and these are
exposed if validation is enabled. Second, the tag that enables
this conditional code isn't used consistently (it's IPA_VALIDATE
in some spots and IPA_VALIDATION in others).
This series fixes those two problems with the conditional validation
code.
Version 2 removes the two patches that introduced ipa_assert(). It
also modifies the description in the first patch so that it mentions
the changes made to ipa_cmd_table_valid().

We use ipa_cmd_header_valid() to ensure certain values we will
program into hardware are within range, well in advance of when we
actually program them. This way we avoid having to check for errors
when we actually program the hardware.
Unfortunately the dev_err() call for a bad offset value does not
supply the arguments to match the format specifiers properly.
Fix this.
There was also supposed to be a check to ensure the size to be
programmed fits in the field that holds it. Add this missing check.
Rearrange the way we ensure the header table fits in overall IPA
memory range.
Finally, update ipa_cmd_table_valid() so the format of messages
printed for errors matches what's done in ipa_cmd_header_valid().

With interrupt force threading all device interrupt handlers are invoked
from kernel threads. Contrary to hard interrupt context the invocation only
disables bottom halfs, but not interrupts. This was an oversight back then
because any code like this will have an issue:
thread(irq_A)
irq_handler(A)
spin_lock(&foo->lock);
interrupt(irq_B)
irq_handler(B)
spin_lock(&foo->lock);
This has been triggered with networking (NAPI vs. hrtimers) and console
drivers where printk() happens from an interrupt which interrupted the
force threaded handler.
Now people noticed and started to change the spin_lock() in the handler to
spin_lock_irqsave() which affects performance or add IRQF_NOTHREAD to the
interrupt request which in turn breaks RT.
Fix the root cause and not the symptom and disable interrupts before
invoking the force threaded handler which preserves the regular semantics
and the usefulness of the interrupt force threading as a general debugging
tool.
For not RT this is not changing much, except that during the execution of
the threaded handler interrupts are delayed until the handler
returns. Vs. scheduling and softirq processing there is no difference.
For RT kernels there is no issue.

In commit 6417f03132a6 ("module: remove never implemented
MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE") the MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE macro was
removed from the kerne entirely. Shortly before this patch was applied
mainline the commit 59ec7b89ed3e ("can: peak_usb: add forgotten
supported devices") was added to net/master. As this would result in a
merge conflict, let's revert this patch.

Commit d4eb538e1f48 ("can: isotp: TX-path: ensure that CAN frame flags are
initialized") ensured the TX flags to be properly set for outgoing CAN
frames.
In fact the root cause of the issue results from a missing initialization
of outgoing CAN frames created by isotp. This is no problem on the CAN bus
as the CAN driver only picks the correctly defined content from the struct
can(fd)_frame. But when the outgoing frames are monitored (e.g. with
candump) we potentially leak some bytes in the unused content of
struct can(fd)_frame.

__bpf_arch_text_poke does rewrite only for atomic nop5, emit_nops(xxx, 5)
emits non-atomic one which breaks fentry/fexit with k8 atomics:
P6_NOP5 == P6_NOP5_ATOMIC (0f1f440000 == 0f1f440000)
K8_NOP5 != K8_NOP5_ATOMIC (6666906690 != 6666666690)
Can be reproduced by doing "ideal_nops = k8_nops" in "arch_init_ideal_nops()

Architectures that describe the CPU topology in devicetree and do not have
an identity mapping between physical and logical CPU ids must override the
default implementation of arch_match_cpu_phys_id().
Failing to do so breaks CPU devicetree-node lookups using of_get_cpu_node()
and of_cpu_device_node_get() which several drivers rely on. It also causes
the CPU struct devices exported through sysfs to point to the wrong
devicetree nodes.
On x86, CPUs are described in devicetree using their APIC ids and those
do not generally coincide with the logical ids, even if CPU0 typically
uses APIC id 0.
Add the missing implementation of arch_match_cpu_phys_id() so that CPU-node
lookups work also with SMP.
Apart from fixing the broken sysfs devicetree-node links this likely does
not affect current users of mainline kernels on x86.

The vmlinux.h generated from BTF is invalid when building
drivers/phy/ti/phy-gmii-sel.c with clang:

bpftool generates a forward declaration for this struct regfield, which
compilers aren't happy about. Here's a simplified reproducer:
struct inner {
int val;
};
struct outer {
struct inner (*ptr_to_array)[2];
} A;
After build with clang -> bpftool btf dump c -> clang/gcc:
./def-clang.h:11:23: error: array has incomplete element type 'struct inner'
struct inner (*ptr_to_array)[2];
Member ptr_to_array of struct outer is a pointer to an array of struct
inner. In the DWARF generated by clang, struct outer appears before
struct inner, so when converting BTF of struct outer into C, bpftool
issues a forward declaration to struct inner. With GCC the DWARF info is
reversed so struct inner gets fully defined.
That forward declaration is not sufficient when compilers handle an
array of the struct, even when it's only used through a pointer. Note
that we can trigger the same issue with an intermediate typedef:

struct outer {
inner2_t *ptr_to_array;

Becomes:
struct inner;
typedef struct inner inner2_t[2];
And causes:

To fix this, clear through_ptr whenever we encounter an intermediate
array, to make the inner struct part of a strong link and force full
declaration.

When DECLARE_LIBBPF_OPTS is used with inline field initialization, e.g:
DECLARE_LIBBPF_OPTS(btf_dump_emit_type_decl_opts, opts,

and compiled in debug mode, the compiler generates code which
leaves the padding uninitialized and triggers errors within libbpf APIs
which require strict zero initialization of OPTS structs.
Adding anonymous padding field fixes the issue.

The ECN bit defines ECT(1) = 1, ECT(0) = 2. So inner 0x02 + outer 0x01
should be inner ECT(0) + outer ECT(1). Based on the description of
__INET_ECN_decapsulate, the final decapsulate value should be
ECT(1). So fix the test expect value to 0x01.
Before the fix:
TEST: VXLAN: ECN decap: 01/02->0x02 [FAIL]
Expected to capture 10 packets, got 0.
After the fix:
TEST: VXLAN: ECN decap: 01/02->0x01 [ OK ]

For AF_VSOCK, accept() currently returns sockets that are unlabelled.
Other socket families derive the child's SID from the SID of the parent
and the SID of the incoming packet. This is typically done as the
connected socket is placed in the queue that accept() removes from.
Reuse the existing 'security_sk_clone' hook to copy the SID from the
parent (server) socket to the child. There is no packet SID in this
case.

MTU cannot be changed on dwmac-sun8i. (ip link set eth0 mtu xxx returning EINVAL)
This is due to tx_fifo_size being 0, since this value is used to compute valid
MTU range.
Like dwmac-sunxi (with commit 806fd188ce2a ("net: stmmac: dwmac-sunxi: Provide TX and RX fifo sizes"))
dwmac-sun8i need to have tx and rx fifo sizes set.
I have used values from datasheets.
After this patch, setting a non-default MTU (like 1000) value works and network is still useable.

I was working on a syzbot issue, claiming one device could not be
dismantled because its refcount was -1
unregister_netdevice: waiting for sit0 to become free. Usage count = -1
It would be nice if syzbot could trigger a warning at the time
this reference count became negative.
This patch adds CONFIG_PCPU_DEV_REFCNT options which defaults
to per cpu variables (as before this patch) on SMP builds.
v2: free_dev label in alloc_netdev_mqs() is moved to avoid
a compiler warning (-Wunused-label), as reported
by kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com>

There are several memory regions that are defined starting with IPA
v4.0, but which were not used for the SC7180 SoC (IPA v4.2). Even
though they're not used (yet), define them so they are ready to be
used for SoCs when they become supported.
There are two QUOTA statistics memory regions, one for the modem and
one for the AP. Define distinct names for these regions, and get
rid of the definition of IPA_MEM_STATS_QUOTA.

The AP_HEADER memory region for both the SDM845 and SC7180 SoCs has
zero size, and has no canaries. Defining an offset for such a
zero-length region is not meaningful, so it's better not to define
it at all. The size of this region is used in the code, but its
value will still be zero because the memory regions are defined in
statically initialized memory.
For the SC7180, the STATS_DROP memory region has a zero size and no
canaries as well.
These regions are the only place where a zero-sized region is
defined despite having no canaries. Remove them.

There should be no canary values written before the beginning of the
UC_INFO memory region. This was correct for SDM845, but somehow was
committed with the wrong value for SC7180.
This bug seems to cause no harm, so we'll just correct it without
back-porting.
