So apparently under ridiculous amounts of memory pressure we can get
into trouble in do_switch when we try to move the old hw context
backing storage object onto the active lists.
With list debugging enabled that usually results in us chasing a
poisoned pointer - which means we've hit upon a vma that has been
removed from all lrus with list_del (and then deallocated, so it's a
real use-after free).
Ian Lister has done some great callchain chasing and noticed that we
can reenter do_switch:

Like with everything else where the shrinker or eviction code can
invalidate pointers we need to reload relevant state.
Note that there's no need to recheck whether a context switch is still
required because:
- Doing a switch to the same context is harmless (besides wasting a
bit of energy).
- This can only happen with the default context. But since that one's
pinned we'll never call down into evict_everything under normal
circumstances. Note that there's a little driver bringup fun
involved namely that we could recourse into do_switch for the
initial switch. Atm we're fine since we assign the context pointer
only after the call to do_switch at driver load or resume time. And
in the gpu reset case we skip the entire setup sequence (which might
be a bug on its own, but definitely not this one here).
Cc'ing stable since apparently ChromeOS guys are seeing this in the
wild (and not just on artificial stress tests), see the reference.
Note that in upstream code doesn't calle evict_everything directly
from evict_something, that's an extension in this product branch. But
we can still hit upon this bug (and apparently we do, see the linked
backtraces). I've noticed this while trying to construct a testcase
for this bug and utterly failed to provoke it. It looks like we need
to driver the system squarly into the lowmem wall and provoke the
shrinker to evict the context object by doing the last-ditch
evict_everything call.
Aside: There's currently no means to get a badly-fragmenting hw
context object away from a bad spot in the upstream code. We should
fix this by at least adding some code to evict_something to handle hw
contexts.

Shovel a bit more of the the code into the setup function, and call
it earlier. Otherwise lockdep is unhappy since we cancel the delayed
resume work before it's initialized.
While at it also shovel the pc8 setup code into the same functions.
I wanted to also ditch the header declaration of the hws pc8 functions,
but for unfathomable reasons that stuff is in intel_display.c instead
of intel_pm.c.

I've tested the old Dell Vostro 131 with the latest generic parser
and it works just fine, and as a bonus we get better jack detection
features in userspace. Therefore this quirk can be removed.

We must clear local_df when passing the skb between namespaces as the
packet is not local to the new namespace any more and thus may not get
fragmented by local rules. Fred Templin noticed that other namespaces
do fragment IPv6 packets while forwarding. Instead they should have send
back a PTB.
The same problem should be present when forwarding DF-IPv4 packets
between namespaces.

kill memcg_tcp_enter_memory_pressure. The only function of
memcg_tcp_enter_memory_pressure was to reduce deal with the
unnecessary abstraction that was tcp_memcontrol. Now that struct
tcp_memcontrol is gone remove this unnecessary function, the
unnecessary function pointer, and modify sk_enter_memory_pressure to
set this field directly, just as sk_leave_memory_pressure cleas this
field directly.
This fixes a small bug I intruduced when killing struct tcp_memcontrol
that caused memcg_tcp_enter_memory_pressure to never be called and
thus failed to ever set cg_proto->memory_pressure.
Remove the cg_proto enter_memory_pressure function as it now serves
no useful purpose.
Don't test cg_proto->memory_presser in sk_leave_memory_pressure before
clearing it. The test was originally there to ensure that the pointer
was non-NULL. Now that cg_proto is not a pointer the pointer does not
matter.

The driver incorrectly run loopback test on chips that don't support it.
Loopback test is only supported by chips that has DEV_HAS_TEST_EXTENDED
flag and returns 4 (NV_TEST_COUNT_EXTENDED) as test count.

When I install the bonding with the wrong arp_ip_target,
just like arp_ip_target=500.500.500.500, the arp_ip_target
was transfored to 245.245.245.244 and stored in the ip
target success, it is uncorrect, so I add checks to avoid
adding wrong address.
The in4_pton() will set wrong ip address to 0.0.0.0 and
return 0, also use the micro IS_IP_TARGET_UNUSABLE_ADDRESS
to simplify the code.

As Michael pointed out that when max_burst is 0, it just disable
max_burst. It declared in rfc6458#section-8.1.24. so add the check
in sctp_transport_burst_limited, when it 0, just do nothing.

When booted with device tree, we may still have platform data passed
as auxdata. For am3517 this is needed for passing the interrupt_enable
and interrupt_disable callbacks that access the omap system control module
registers. These callback functions will eventually go away when we have
a separate system control module driver.
Some of the things that are currently passed as platform data we don't need
to set up as device tree properties as they are always the same on am3517.
So let's use a new compatible flag for those so we can get those from
the device tree match data.
Also note that we need to fix setting of phy_dev to NULL instead of an empty
string as the code later on uses that to find the first phy on the mdio bus.
This seems to have been caused by 5d69e0076a72 (net: davinci_emac: switch to
new mdio).

The code to detect fragments in checksum_setup() was missing for IPv4 and
too eager for IPv6. (It transpires that Windows seems to send IPv6 packets
with a fragment header even if they are not a fragment - i.e. offset is zero,
and M bit is not set).
This patch also incorporates a fix to callers of maybe_pull_tail() where
skb->network_header was being erroneously added to the length argument.

The device uses special MPU controller that necessitates the new
initialization sequence for the device. We also define a new protocol for
the trackpad that allows reporting better resolution than older V2
protocol.

Added detection for newer Elantech touchpads, so that kernel doesn't
fall-back to default PS/2 driver. Supports touchpads released after
~August 2013. Fixes bug:

It has been reported that boot up with FTRACE_SELFTEST enabled can take a
very long time. There can be stalls of over a minute.
This was tracked down to the synchronize_sched() called when a system call
event is disabled. As the self tests enable and disable thousands of events,
this makes the synchronize_sched() get called thousands of times.
The synchornize_sched() was added with d562aff93bfb53 "tracing: Add support
for SOFT_DISABLE to syscall events" which caused this regression (added
in 3.13-rc1).
The synchronize_sched() is to protect against the events being accessed
when a tracer instance is being deleted. When an instance is being deleted
all the events associated to it are unregistered. The synchronize_sched()
makes sure that no more users are running when it finishes.
Instead of calling synchronize_sched() for all syscall events, we only
need to call it once, after the events are unregistered and before the
instance is deleted. The event_mutex is held during this action to
prevent new users from enabling events.

When CONFIG_DEBUG_FORCE_WEAK_PER_CPU or CONFIG_ARCH_NEEDS_WEAK_PER_CPU
is set, DEFINE_PER_CPU() explodes into cryptic series of definitions
to still allow using "static" for percpu variables while keeping all
per-cpu symbols unique in the kernel image which is required for weak
symbols. This ultimately converts the actual symbol to global whether
DEFINE_PER_CPU() is prefixed with static or not.
Unfortunately, the macro forgot to add explicit extern declartion of
the actual symbol ending up defining global symbol without preceding
declaration for static definitions which naturally don't have matching
DECLARE_PER_CPU(). The only ill effect is triggering of the following
warnings.
fs/inode.c:74:8: warning: symbol 'nr_inodes' was not declared. Should it be static?
fs/inode.c:75:8: warning: symbol 'nr_unused' was not declared. Should it be static?
Fix it by adding extern declaration in the DEFINE_PER_CPU() macro.

If accounting is on, we will do the IO completion accounting after
we have freed the request. Fix that by moving it sooner instead.

DSPCLK_DIV can be only generated correctly after enabling SYSCLK. But if the
current bias_level hasn't reached SND_SOC_BIAS_ON, DAPM won't enable SYSCLK,
which would cause the calculation result from DSPCLK_DIV invalid since bit
DSPCLK_DIV will be finally turned to its true value after DAPM enables SYSCLK
while the driver won't calculate it again for the current instance. In this
circumstance, a playback which needs non-zero DSPCLK_DIV would be distorted
due to unexpected clock frequency resulted from an invalid DSPCLK_DIV value.
So this patch provisionally enables the SYSCLK to get a valid DSPCLK_DIV for
calculation and then disables it afterward.

cfg80211 allows re-association in managed mode and if a user
wants to re-associate to the same AP network after the time
period of IEEE80211_SCAN_RESULT_EXPIRE, cfg80211 warns with

The reason is that, in connect result event cfg80211 unholds
the BSS to which the device is associated (and was held so
far). So, for the event with status successful, when cfg80211
wants to get that BSS from the device's BSS list it gets a
NULL BSS because the BSS has been expired and unheld already.
Fix it by reshuffling the code.

The EVENT_CONSTRAINT_END() macro defines the end marker as
a constraint with a weight of zero. This was all fine
until we blacklisted the corrupting memory events on
Intel IvyBridge. These events are blacklisted by using
a counter bitmask of zero. Thus, they also get a constraint
weight of zero.
The iteration macro: for_each_constraint tests the weight==0.
Therefore, it was stopping at the first blacklisted event, i.e.,
0xd0. The corrupting events were therefore considered as
unconstrained and were scheduled on any of the generic counters.
This patch fixes the end marker to have a weight of -1. With
this, the blacklisted events get an empty constraint and cannot
be scheduled which is what we want for now.

"Half of these are EFI-related:
The by far biggest change is the change to hold off the deletion of a
sysfs entry while a backend scan is in progress. This is to avoid
calling kmemdup() while under a spinlock.
The other major change is for each entry in the EFI pstore backend to
get a unique identifier, as required by the pstore filesystem proper.
The other changes are:
A fix to the recent consolidation and optimization of using "asm goto"
with read-modify-write operation, which broke the bitops; specifically
in such a way that we could end up generating invalid code.
A build hack to make sure we compile with -mno-sse. icc, and most
likely future versions of gcc, can generate SSE instructions unless we
tell it not to.
A comment-only patch to a change the was due in part to an unpublished
erratum; now when the erratum is published we want to add a comment
explaining why"
