2013-06-17ARM: dts: cfa10036: Change the OLED display to SSD1306Maxime Ripard
The SSD1307 was used in an early prototype that will never get distributed. The final board now has a SSD1306 instead, that has its own power generation unit and thus doesn't need any PWM. The panel attached to it also changed. Signed-off-by: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>

2013-06-17ARM: mxs: Remove init_irq declaration in machine descriptionMaxime Ripard
Commit ebafed7a ("ARM: irq: Call irqchip_init if no init_irq function is specified") removed the need to explictly setup the init_irq field in the machine description when using only irqchip_init. 2013-06-17ARM: shmobile: Remove MEMORY_START/SIZEMagnus Damm
Remove CONFIG_MEMORY_START and CONFIG_MEMORY_SIZE from mach-shmobile. Boards should use DT to specify their memory setup. Boards that still not support DT may pass ATAGS with memory information from the boot loader. If those ATAGS turn out to be incorrect then appended DTB with memory information should be used as a workaround. 2013-06-17ARM: shmobile: Add SCU boot function using argumentMagnus Damm

2013-06-17ARM: shmobile: Add SMP boot function and argumentMagnus Damm

This patch removes one inline virtual to physical address conversion. Signed-off-by: Magnus Damm <damm@opensource.se> Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au>
2013-06-17ARM: shmobile: Rework sh7372 sleep code to use virt_to_phys()Magnus Damm
Instead of having a hard coded virt-to-phys address conversion code in sleep-sh7372.S, rework the code to do the conversion in C using virt_to_phys(). This removes the need for PLAT_PHYS_OFFSET which in turn is needed for ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. 2013-06-17gpio/omap: omap_gpio_init_context stub must be inlineArnd Bergmann
The bug fix 352a2d5bf "gpio/omap: ensure gpio context is initialised" has caused a new warning for omap1_defconfig: drivers/gpio/gpio-omap.c:1465:13: warning: 'omap_gpio_init_context' defined but not used [-Wunused-function] static void omap_gpio_init_context(struct gpio_bank *p) {} ^ The solution is to mark the stub function as 'static inline' so it gets left out of the build when unused. 2013-06-17GPIO: xilinx: Use __raw_readl/__raw_writel IO functionsMichal Simek
This driver can be used on Xilinx ARM Zynq platform where in_be32/out_be32 functions are not implemented. Use __raw_readl/__raw_writel functions which are implemented on Microblaze and PowerPC. For ARM readl/writel functions are used instead. The correct way how to implement this is to detect endians directly on IP. But for the gpio case without interrupt connected(it means without interrupt logic) there are just 2 registers data and tristate where auto detection can't be done. 2013-06-16percpu-refcount: use RCU-sched insted of normal RCUTejun Heo
percpu-refcount was incorrectly using preempt_disable/enable() for RCU critical sections against call_rcu(). 6a24474da8 ("percpu-refcount: consistently use plain (non-sched) RCU") fixed it by converting the preepmtion operations with rcu_read_[un]lock() citing that there isn't any advantage in using sched-RCU over using the usual one; however, rcu_read_[un]lock() for the preemptible RCU implementation - CONFIG_TREE_PREEMPT_RCU, chosen when CONFIG_PREEMPT - are slightly more expensive than preempt_disable/enable(). In a contrived microbench which repeats the followings, - percpu_ref_get() - copy 32 bytes of data into percpu buffer - percpu_put_get() - copy 32 bytes of data into percpu buffer rcu_read_[un]lock() used in percpu_ref_get/put() makes it go slower by about 15% when compared to using sched-RCU. As the RCU critical sections are extremely short, using sched-RCU shouldn't have any latency implications. Convert to RCU-sched. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/jic23/iio into staging-next Jonathan writes: Third round of IIO new stuff, cleanups and staging graduations for the 3.11 cycle. 1) Add clock consumer support and device tree bindings to adf4350. The clock consumer part depends on a not so optional 'optional' implementation of clock_round_rate which is not present for pxa27x. It will be shortly and as no one actually uses this chip with that sub arch as far as we know, no need to delay the inclusion in the meantime. See http://lkml.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/1306.1/00023.html for the brief discussion. This may be the first non soc specific driver that makes use of that function. 2) AD7303 DAC new driver. 3) ADIS16130 minor fixes and improvements plus move out of staging. 4) AD7291 improvements to bring it inline with more recent drivers. 5) Update to the sysfs ABI doc to fix some out of date paths.
