fput() assumes that it can't be called after exit_task_work() but
this is not true, for example free_ipc_ns()->shm_destroy() can do
this. In this case fput() silently leaks the file.
Change it to fallback to delayed_fput_work if task_work_add() fails.
The patch looks complicated but it is not, it changes the code from
if (PF_KTHREAD) {
schedule_work(...);
return;
}
task_work_add(...)
to
if (!PF_KTHREAD) {
if (!task_work_add(...))
return;
/* fallback */
}
schedule_work(...);
As for shm_destroy() in particular, we could make another fix but I
think this change makes sense anyway. There could be another similar
user, it is not safe to assume that task_work_add() can't fail.

This patch removes now unused files containing old device and GPIO setup
code that was needed for ATAGS based boot, which is not supported on
Exynos any more.
The only exception is setup-i2c0.c that will be removed later, since it
has dependencies in plat-samsung/ directory.

This patch adds a Kconfig entry that enables compilation of legacy
support code required for Samsung platforms that require ATAGS based
boot.
This allows to bypass compilation of this code when platforms without
ATAGS support are selected.

Since EXYNOS is now DT-only, it always requires USE_OF option to be
selected. This patch moves USE_OF selection from entries of DT board

On allocation failure, return early so the main body of the function
doesn't have to be indented as the body of an "if" statement. No

The flag pci_bus->is_added is used to guard invocation of
pcibios_fixup_bus(pci_bus). When virtfn_add_bus() is called, the
pci_bus->is_added flag has already been set, so remove the redundant
bus->is_added = 1;

pci_scan_bus() has called pci_bus_add_devices() already, so remove the
redundant call of pci_bus_add_devices(). subsys_init() callbacks will be
invoked before device_init() callbacks, so it should be safe to remove the
redundant calls.

There doesn't appear to be any reason for the overall pstore RAM buffer to
be a power of 2 size, so remove it. The individual console, ftrace and oops
buffers are still a power of 2 size.

For persistent RAM outside of main memory, the memory may have limitations
on supported accesses. For internal RAM on highbank platform exclusive
accesses are not supported and will hang the system. So atomic_cmpxchg
cannot be used. This commit uses spinlock protection for buffer size and
start updates on ioremapped regions instead.

Make acpi_pci_set_power_state() print the name of the ACPI device
power state the device has been actually put into instead of printing
the name of the requested PCI device power state, which need not be
the same.
