If wait_for_completion_interruptible_timeout returns a positive value
it may be propagated as the return value of _dln2_transfer. This
contradicts the documentation of the function and exposes unnecessary
internals to the callers.
This patch makes sure to set the return value to 0 in that case.

Otherwise IO could be issued to the pool while it is suspended.
Care was taken to properly interlock between the thin and thin-pool
targets when accessing the pool's 'suspended' flag. The thin_ctr will
not add a new thin device to the pool's active_thins list if the pool is
susepended.

Events may still be ordered even if there are no timestamps e.g. if the
data is recorded per-thread.
Also synthesized COMM events have a timestamp of zero.
Consequently it is better to keep comm entries even if they have a
timestamp of zero.
However, when a struct thread is created the command string is not known
and a comm entry with a string of the form ":<tid>" is used.
In that case thread->comm_set is false and the comm entry should be
overridden.

The pci_dev_put() function tests whether its argument is NULL and then
returns immediately. Thus the test before the call is not needed.
This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

The system_wide flag causes a selected event to be opened always without
a pid.
Consequently it will never get a POLLHUP, but it is used for tracking in
combination with other events, so it should not need to be polled
anyway.
Therefore don't add it for polling.

Where the left justification signal was after the width, which ended up,
when the width was, say, 11, always printing:

With srcline key/sort'ing it's useful to have line numbers in the
annotate window. This patch implements this.
Use objdump -l to request the line numbers and save them in the line
structure. Then the browser displays them for source lines.
The line numbers are not displayed by default, but can be toggled on
with 'k'
There is one unfortunate problem with this setup. For lines not
containing source and which are outside functions objdump -l reports
line numbers off by a few: it always reports the first line number in
the next function even for lines that are outside the function.
I haven't found a nice way to detect/correct this. Probably objdump has
to be fixed.

The line numbers are still useful even with these problems, as most are
correct and the ones which are not are nearby.

For perf report with --sort srcline only print the base source file
name. This makes the results generally fit much better to the screen.
The path is usually not that useful anyways because it is often from
different systems.

Patch "perf tools: Fix build-id matching on vmlinux" breaks annotation
with kcore. The problem is that symbol__annotate() first gets the
filename based on the build-id which was previously not set.
This patch provides a quick fix, however there should probably be only
one way to determine the filename. e.g. symbol__annotate() should use
the same way as dso__data_fd().

The minimal ELF loader should not return 1 when it manages to read the
vmlinux build-id, it should instead return 0, meaning that it hasn't
loaded any symbols, since it doesn't parses ELF at all.
That way, the main symbol.c routines will understand that it is
necessary to continue looking for a file with symbols, and when no
libelf is linked, that means it will eventually try kallsyms.

Current EXTLIBS contains -lelf by default and removes it when libelf is
not detected.
This is little bit confusing since we can now build perf without libelf
so there's no need to handle it differently than other libraries.

Fix handling of TTY error flags, which are not bitmasks and must
specifically not be ORed together as this prevents the line discipline
from recognising them.
Also insert null characters when reporting overrun errors as these are
not associated with the received character.

Patch 09a5723983 ("arm64: Use include/asm-generic/io.h") correctly
removed the GENERIC_IOMAP selection from ARM64, which is not needed
on architectures that have memory-mapped PCI I/O space, however
we now lack a pci_iomap() function.
Fortunately, there is already a generic implementation for this
case, so we just need to select GENERIC_PCI_IOMAP to make it all
work.

The x86 MPX patch set calls arch_unmap() and arch_bprm_mm_init()
from fs/exec.c, so we need at least a stub for them in all
architectures. They are only called under an #ifdef for
CONFIG_MMU=y, so we can at least restict this to architectures
with MMU support.
blackfin/c6x have no MMU support, so do not call arch_unmap().
They also do not include mm_hooks.h or mmu_context.h at all and
do not need to be touched.
s390, um and unicore32 do not use asm-generic/mm_hooks.h, so got
their own arch_unmap() versions. (I also moved um's
arch_dup_mmap() to be closer to the other mm_hooks.h functions).
xtensa only includes mm_hooks when MMU=y, which should be fine
since arch_unmap() is called only from MMU=y code.
For the rest, we use the stub copies of these functions in
asm-generic/mm_hook.h.
I cross compiled defconfigs for cris (to check NOMMU) and s390
to make sure that this works. I also checked a 64-bit build
of UML and all my normal x86 builds including PARAVIRT on and
off.

asm-generic/mm_hooks.h provides some generic fillers for the 90%
of architectures that do not need to hook some mmap-manipulation
functions. A comment inside says:
> Define generic no-op hooks for arch_dup_mmap and
> arch_exit_mmap, to be included in asm-FOO/mmu_context.h
> for any arch FOO which doesn't need to hook these.
So, does x86 need to hook these? It depends on CONFIG_PARAVIRT.
We *conditionally* include this generic header if we have
CONFIG_PARAVIRT=n. That's madness.
With this patch, x86 stops using asm-generic/mmu_hooks.h entirely.
We use our own copies of the functions. The paravirt code
provides some stubs if it is disabled, and we always call those
stubs in our x86-private versions of arch_exit_mmap() and
arch_dup_mmap().

get_reg_offset() used to return the register contents themselves
instead of the register offset. When it did that, it was an
unsigned long. I changed it to return an integer _offset_
instead of the register. But, I neglected to change the return
type of the function or the variables in which we store the
result of the call.
This fixes up the code to clear up the warnings from the smatch
bot:
New smatch warnings:

The customers may want to adjust the whole PLL and dividers according to
different user scenerios, and this causes the parent clock of sirf clocksource
not be divided exactly by the current hard-coded 1MHz clock rate.
This patch removes the hard-coded rate and makes the clocksource driver more
adaptive to the external changes.

The interrupts were activated and the handler registered before the clockevent
was registered in the probe function.
The interrupt handler, however, was making the assumption that the clockevent
device was registered.
That could cause a null pointer dereference if the timer interrupt was firing
during this narrow window.
Fix that by moving the clockevent registration before the interrupt is enabled.

Commit 1191ccb34cf8 ("sparc: io: implement dummy relaxed accessor
macros for writes") added the relaxed accessors (readl_relaxed etc) in
a file that is shared between sparc32 and sparc64. However, the earlier
e1039fb42609 ("sparc32: introduce asm-generic/io.h") had already changed
the sparc32 implementation to use asm-generic/io.h, which provides the
same macros, resulting in lots of build errors.
This moves the definitions from the shared sparc file into the
sparc64-only file to fix the sparc32 build regression.

Explicitly set the dr_mode for the dwc3 controller on the
Snow board to host mode. This is required to ensure the
controller is initialized in the right mode if the kernel is
build with USB gadget support.
