Merge a branch containing SMP topology updates from Srikar, purely so we can
include the cover letter which has a lot of good detail here:
PowerVM systems configured in shared processors mode have some unique
challenges. Some device-tree properties will be missing on a shared
processor. Hence some sched domains may not make sense for shared processor
systems.
Most shared processor systems are over-provisioned. Underlying PowerVM
Hypervisor would schedule at a Big Core (SMT8) granularity. The most recent
power processors support two almost independent cores. In a lightly loaded
condition, it helps the overall system performance if we pack to lesser number
of Big Cores.
Since each thread-group is independent, running threads on both the
thread-groups of a SMT8 core, should have a minimal adverse impact in
non over provisioned scenarios. These changes in this patchset will not
affect in the over provisioned scenario. If there are more threads than
SMT domains, then asym_packing will not kick-in.

Observation:
We are able to see Improvement in ebizzy throughput even with lesser
core utilization (almost half the core utilization) in low utilization
scenarios while still retaining throughput in mid and higher utilization
scenarios.
Note: The numbers are with Uncapped + no-noise case. In the Capped and/or
noise case, due to contention on the Cores, the numbers are expected to
further improve.

Currently there are four Powerpc specific sched topologies. These are
all statically defined. However not all these topologies are used by
all Powerpc systems.
To avoid unnecessary degenerations by the scheduler, masks and flags
are compared. However if the sched topologies are build dynamically then
the code is simpler and there are greater chances of avoiding
degenerations.
Note:
Even X86 builds its sched topologies dynamically and proposed changes
are very similar to the way X86 is building its topologies.

PowerVM Hypervisor will schedule at a core granularity. However each
core can have more than one thread_groups. For better utilization in
case of a shared processor, its preferable for the scheduler to pack to
the lowest core. However there is no benefit of moving a thread between
two thread groups of the same core.

Like L2-cache info, coregroup information which is used to determine MC
sched domains is only present on dedicated LPARs. i.e PowerVM doesn't
export coregroup information for shared processor LPARs. Hence disable
creating MC domains on shared LPAR Systems.

If there are shared processor LPARs, underlying Hypervisor can have more
virtual cores to handle than actual physical cores.
Starting with Power 9, a big core (aka SMT8 core) has 2 nearly
independent thread groups. On a shared processors LPARs, it helps to
pack threads to lesser number of cores so that the overall system
performance and utilization improves. PowerVM schedules at a big core
level. Hence packing to fewer cores helps.
Since each thread-group is independent, running threads on both the
thread-groups of a SMT8 core, should have a minimal adverse impact in
non over provisioned scenarios. These changes in this patchset will not
affect in the over provisioned scenario. If there are more threads than
SMT domains, then asym_packing will not kick-in
For example: Lets says there are two 8-core Shared LPARs that are
actually sharing a 8 Core shared physical pool, each running 8 threads
each. Then Consolidating 8 threads to 4 cores on each LPAR would help
them to perform better. This is because each of the LPAR will get
100% time to run applications and there will no switching required by
the Hypervisor.
To achieve this, enable SD_ASYM_PACKING flag at CACHE, MC and DIE level
when the system is running in shared processor mode and has big cores.

No functional change in this patch. A helper is added to find if
vcpu is dispatched by hypervisor. Use that instead of opencoding.

This is a Chinese TV box, probably very similar if not identical to
various other cheap TV boxes with the same specs:
- Allwinner H618 SoC (4 * Arm Cortex-A53 cores, 1MB L2 cache)
- 2 or 4GiB DDR3L DRAM
- 32, 64, or 128 GiB eMMC flash
- AXP313a PMIC
- 100 Mbit/s Ethernet (using yet unsupported internal PHY)
- HDMI port
- 2 * USB 2.0 ports
- microSD card slot
- 3.5mm A/V port
- 7-segment display
- 5V barrel plug power supply
The PCB provides holes for soldering a UART header or cable, this is
connected to the debug UART0. UART1 is used for the Bluetooth chip,
although this isn't working yet.

All machines making use of &usbh_ehci and/or &usbh_ohci use
phys = <&usbphyc_port0>;
So move this setting into the .dtsi. Also add
phy-names = "usb";
which isn't used by all machines, but nice for consistency.

The binding erroneously decreed that the SCMI variants of the ST
evaluation kits are compatible with the non-SCMI variants.
This is not correct, as a kernel or bootloader compatible with the non-SCMI
variant is not necessarily able to function, when direct access
to resources is replaced by having to talk SCMI to the secure monitor.
The binding has been adjusted to reflect thus, so synchronize the device
trees now.

Add hugetlb definitions if THP enabled. ARC doesn't support
HugeTLB FS but it supports THP. Some kernel code such as pagemap
uses hugetlb definitions with THP.
This patch fixes ARC build issue (HPAGE_SIZE undeclared error) with
TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE enabled.

Move the USB connector out of the SoC level and use port to describe
the connection to the dwc3 controller.

The i.MX8M Nano supports and overdrive mode if the SoC is given
the proper voltage. Add imx8mn-overdrive.dtsi file which can
be included by boards who support the voltage necessary to handle
the faster clocks. This increases the GPU clocks from 400MHz to
600MHz.

The SoC runs at a high enough voltage to support overdrive
mode, so include the imx8mm-overdrive.dtsi file to increase
the VPU and GPU clocks to their overdrive speeds.

For boards who run their SoC at a higher voltage than nominal,
the boards can run several clocks at an overdrive rate for
better performance. Add an optional DTSI file which can be
included by various boards to run in overdrive mode.
This raises the GPU PLL to 1000MHz, and the VPU PLL to
700MHz while moving VPU_G1 and VPU_H1 to the SYS_PLL3_OUT
which runs at 750MHz.

When the GPU nodes were added, the GPU_PLL_OUT was configured
for 1000MHz, but this requires the SoC to run in overdrive mode
which requires an elevated voltage operating point.
Since this may run some boards out of spec, the default clock
should be set to 800MHz for nominal operating mode. Boards
that run at the higher voltage can update their clocks
accordingly.

fsl,micfil.yaml defines the clock-names in the following sequence:

Google gs101 SoC is a ARMv8 mobile SoC found in the Pixel 6
(oriole), Pixel 6a (bluejay) and Pixel 6 pro (raven) mobile
phones.
It features:
* 4xA55 Little cluster
* 2xA76 Mid cluster
* 2xX1 Big cluster
This commit adds the basic device tree for gs101 (SoC).
Further platform support will be added over time.

When intercepts are enabled for MSR_IA32_XSS, the host will swap in/out
the guest-defined values while context-switching to/from guest mode.
However, in the case of SEV-ES, vcpu->arch.guest_state_protected is set,
so the guest-defined value is effectively ignored when switching to
guest mode with the understanding that the VMSA will handle swapping
in/out this register state.
However, SVM is still configured to intercept these accesses for SEV-ES
guests, so the values in the initial MSR_IA32_XSS are effectively
read-only, and a guest will experience undefined behavior if it actually
tries to write to this MSR. Fortunately, only CET/shadowstack makes use
of this register on SEV-ES-capable systems currently, which isn't yet
widely used, but this may become more of an issue in the future.
Additionally, enabling intercepts of MSR_IA32_XSS results in #VC
exceptions in the guest in certain paths that can lead to unexpected #VC
nesting levels. One example is SEV-SNP guests when handling #VC
exceptions for CPUID instructions involving leaf 0xD, subleaf 0x1, since
they will access MSR_IA32_XSS as part of servicing the CPUID #VC, then
generate another #VC when accessing MSR_IA32_XSS, which can lead to
guest crashes if an NMI occurs at that point in time. Running perf on a
guest while it is issuing such a sequence is one example where these can
be problematic.
Address this by disabling intercepts of MSR_IA32_XSS for SEV-ES guests
if the host/guest configuration allows it. If the host/guest
configuration doesn't allow for MSR_IA32_XSS, leave it intercepted so
that it can be caught by the existing checks in
kvm_{set,get}_msr_common() if the guest still attempts to access it.

The RZ/G3S Smarc Module has Ethernet PHYs (KSZ9131) connected to each
Ethernet IP. For this, add proper DT descriptions to enable Ethernet
communication through these PHYs.
The interface b/w PHYs and MACs is RGMII. The skew settings were set to
zero as based on phy-mode (rgmii-id) the KSZ9131 driver enables internal
DLL, which adds a 2ns delay b/w clocks (TX/RX) and data signals.
Different pin settings were applied to TXC and TX_CTL compared with the
rest of the RGMII pins to comply with requirements for these pins
imposed by HW manual of RZ/G3S (see chapters "Ether Ch0 Voltage Mode
Control Register (ETH0_POC)", "Ether Ch1 Voltage Mode Control Register
(ETH1_POC)", for power source selection, "Ether MII/RGMII Mode Control
Register (ETH_MODE)" for output-enable and "Input Enable Control
Register (IEN_m)" for input-enable configurations).
Also enable the Ethernet interfaces by selecting SW_CONFIG3 = SW_ON.

The intention of the SW_SD0_DEV_SEL and SW_SD2_EN macros was to reflect the
state of the SW_CONFIG individual switches available on the RZ/G3S Smarc
Module, and at the same time to have a descriptive name for the switches
themselves. Each individual switch is associated with a signal name,
which might be active-low or not on the board. Using signal names
instead of SW_CONFIG switch names may be confusing for a user who just
playes with switches to select individual functionalities, but also for
an advanced user who looks at the schematics. To avoid even further
confusion, use the switches' names here and instantiate them with an
ON/OFF state. This should be simpler, even though the name of the
switches is not that intuitive. The switches' names documentation
reflects the switches' purposes.

Currently the detection+enablement of boot cpucaps is separate from the
patching of boot cpucap alternatives, which means there's a period where
cpus_have_cap($CAP) and alternative_has_cap($CAP) may be mismatched.
It would be preferable to manage the boot cpucaps in the same way as the
system cpucaps, both for clarity and to minimize the risk of accidental
usage of code relying upon an alternative which has not yet been
patched.
This patch aligns the handling of boot cpucaps with the handling of
system cpucaps:
* The existing setup_boot_cpu_capabilities() function is moved to be
closer to the setup_system_capabilities() and setup_system_features()
functions so that they're more clearly related and more likely to be
updated together in future.
* The patching of boot cpucap alternatives is moved into
setup_boot_cpu_capabilities(), immediately after boot cpucaps are
detected and enabled.
* A new setup_boot_cpu_features() function is added to mirror
setup_system_features(); this handles initialization of cpucap data
structures and calls setup_boot_cpu_capabilities(). This makes
init_cpu_features() a closer mirror to update_cpu_features(), and
makes smp_prepare_boot_cpu() a closer mirror to smp_cpus_done().
Importantly, while these changes alter the structure of the code, they
retain the existing order of calls to:
init_cpu_features(); // prefix initializing feature regs
init_cpucap_indirect_list();
detect_system_supports_pseudo_nmi();
update_cpu_capabilities(SCOPE_BOOT_CPU | SCOPE_LOCAL_CPU);
enable_cpu_capabilities(SCOPE_BOOT_CPU);
apply_boot_alternatives();
... and hence there should be no functional change as a result of this
patch; this is purely a structural cleanup.

Recent changes to remove cpus_have_const_cap() introduced new users of
cpus_have_cap() in the period between detecting system cpucaps and
patching alternatives. It would be preferable to defer these until after
the relevant cpucaps have been patched so that these can use the usual
feature check helper functions, which is clearer and has less risk of
accidental usage of code relying upon an alternative which has not yet
been patched.
This patch reworks the system-wide cpucap detection and patching to
minimize this transient period:
* The detection, enablement, and patching of system cpucaps is moved
into a new setup_system_capabilities() function so that these can be
grouped together more clearly, with no other functions called in the
period between detection and patching. This is called from
setup_system_features() before the subsequent checks that depend on
the cpucaps.
The logging of TTBR0 PAN and cpucaps with a mask is also moved here to
keep these as close as possible to update_cpu_capabilities().
At the same time, comments are corrected and improved to make the
intent clearer.
* As hyp_mode_check() only tests system register values (not hwcaps) and
must be called prior to patching, the call to hyp_mode_check() is
moved before the call to setup_system_features().
* In setup_system_features(), the use of system_uses_ttbr0_pan() is
restored, now that this occurs after alternatives are patched. This is
a partial revert of commit:
53d62e995d9eaed1 ("arm64: Avoid cpus_have_const_cap() for ARM64_HAS_PAN")
* In sve_setup() and sme_setup(), the use of system_supports_sve() and
system_supports_sme() respectively are restored, now that these occur
after alternatives are patched. This is a partial revert of commit:
