2023-11-21drm/bridge: tpd12s015: Drop buggy __exit annotation for remove functionUwe Kleine-König
With tpd12s015_remove() marked with __exit this function is discarded when the driver is compiled as a built-in. The result is that when the driver unbinds there is no cleanup done which results in resource leakage or worse. 2023-11-21drm/nouveau/fence:: fix warning directly dereferencing a rcu pointerAbhinav Singh
Fix a sparse warning with this message "warning:dereference of noderef expression". In this context it means we are dereferencing a __rcu tagged pointer directly. We should not be directly dereferencing a rcu pointer. To get a normal (non __rcu tagged pointer) from a __rcu tagged pointer we are using the function unrcu_pointer(...). The non __rcu tagged pointer then can be dereferenced just like a normal pointer. 2023-11-20drm/rockchip: vop: Fix color for RGB888/BGR888 format on VOP fullJonas Karlman
Use of DRM_FORMAT_RGB888 and DRM_FORMAT_BGR888 on e.g. RK3288, RK3328 and RK3399 result in wrong colors being displayed. The issue can be observed using modetest: modetest -s <connector_id>@<crtc_id>:1920x1080-60@RG24 modetest -s <connector_id>@<crtc_id>:1920x1080-60@BG24 Vendor 4.4 kernel apply an inverted rb swap for these formats on VOP full framework (IP version 3.x) compared to VOP little framework (2.x). Fix colors by applying different rb swap for VOP full framework (3.x) and VOP little framework (2.x) similar to vendor 4.4 kernel. IVB Bspec says: "Frame Buffer Compression is only supported with memory surfaces of 4096 lines or less and pipe source sizes of 4096 pixels by 2048 lines or less. " so seems like we should be able to bump the offset+size limit to at least 4kx4k. Make it so. 2023-11-20drm/i915: Also check for VGA converter in eDP probeVille Syrjälä
Unfortunately even the HPD based detection added in commit cfe5bdfb27fa ("drm/i915: Check HPD live state during eDP probe") fails to detect that the VBT's eDP/DDI-A is a ghost on Asus B360M-A (CFL+CNP). On that board eDP/DDI-A has its HPD asserted despite nothing being actually connected there :( The straps/fuses also indicate that the eDP port is present. So if one boots with a VGA monitor connected the eDP probe will mistake the DP->VGA converter hooked to DDI-E for an eDP panel on DDI-A. As a last resort check what kind of DP device we've detected, and if it looks like a DP->VGA converter then conclude that the eDP port should be ignored. 2023-11-20drm/i915: do not clean GT table on error pathAndrzej Hajda
The only task of intel_gt_release_all is to zero gt table. Calling it on error path prevents intel_gt_driver_late_release_all (called from i915_driver_late_release) to cleanup GTs, causing leakage. After i915_driver_late_release GT array is not used anymore so it does not need cleaning at all. 2023-11-20drm/i915/dp_mst: Fix race between connector registration and setupImre Deak
After drm_connector_init() is called the connector is visible to the rest of the kernel via the drm_mode_config::connector_list. Make sure that the DSC AUX device and capabilities are setup by that time. Another race condition is adding the connector to the connector list before drm_connector_helper_add() sets the connector helper functions. That's an unrelated issue, for which the fix is for a follow-up. One solution would be adding the connector to the connector list only during its registration in drm_connector_register(). 2023-11-20drm/panel-elida-kd35t133: hold panel in reset for unprepareChris Morgan
For devices like the Anbernic RG351M and RG351P the panel is wired to an always on regulator. When the device suspends and wakes up, there are some slight artifacts on the screen that go away over time. If instead we hold the panel in reset status after it is unprepared, this does not happen. 2023-11-20drm/panel: nv3051d: Add Powkiddy RK2023 Panel SupportChris Morgan
Refactor the driver to add support for the powkiddy,rk2023-panel panel. This panel is extremely similar to the rg353p-panel but requires a smaller vertical back porch and isn't as tolerant of higher speeds. Note that while all of these panels are identical in size (70x57) it is possible future panels may not be. Tested on my RG351V, RG353P, RG353V, and RK2023. 2023-11-19drm/panel: simple: Fix Innolux G101ICE-L01 timingsMarek Vasut
The Innolux G101ICE-L01 datasheet [1] page 17 table 6.1 INPUT SIGNAL TIMING SPECIFICATIONS indicates that maximum vertical blanking time is 40 lines. Currently the driver uses 29 lines. Fix it, and since this panel is a DE panel, adjust the timings to make them less hostile to controllers which cannot do 1 px HSA/VSA, distribute the delays evenly between all three parts. 2023-11-17drm/i915: convert vlv_dpio_read()/write() from pipe to phyJani Nikula
vlv_dpio_read() and vlv_dpio_write() really operate on the phy, not pipe. Passing the pipe instead of the phy as parameter is supposed to be a convenience, but when the caller has the phy, it becomes an inconvenience. See e.g. chv_dpio_cmn_power_well_enable() and assert_chv_phy_powergate(). Add a module parameter to control the AGP aperture. The AGP aperture is an aperture in the GPU's internal address space which provides direct non-paged access to the platform address space.
