2012-05-15wl12xx: support wowlan wakeup patternsEyal Shapira
Use FW RX data filters to support cfg80211 wowlan wakeup patterns. This enables to wake up the host from suspend following detection of certain configurable patterns within an incoming packet. Up to 5 patterns are supported. Once the host is resumed any configured RX data filter is cleared. A single pattern can match several bytes sequences with different offsets within a packet. 2012-05-15ath9k_hw: Fix RTT calibrationSujith Manoharan
This patch fixes multiple issues with the current RTT implementation in ath9k. * The data that is obtained from the RTT interface registers are stored in 31:5 - mask out the extra bits when reading them. * A history buffer is maintained which is not needed at all. Remove this array and just store the baseband data for each chain (or bank). * A 'num_readings' variable was being used to handle the last entry. But it was being used in an improper manner, with the result that the RTT values were never being written to the RTT Interface registers. Fix this by using a simple flag. * Stop baseband operations before programming the calibration values to the HW. * Do not restore RX gain settings as part of RTT. 2012-05-15usbnet: fix skb traversing races during unlink(v2)Ming Lei
Commit 4231d47e6fe69f061f96c98c30eaf9fb4c14b96d(net/usbnet: avoid recursive locking in usbnet_stop()) fixes the recursive locking problem by releasing the skb queue lock before unlink, but may cause skb traversing races: - after URB is unlinked and the queue lock is released, the refered skb and skb->next may be moved to done queue, even be released - in skb_queue_walk_safe, the next skb is still obtained by next pointer of the last skb - so maybe trigger oops or other problems This patch extends the usage of entry->state to describe 'start_unlink' state, so always holding the queue(rx/tx) lock to change the state if the referd skb is in rx or tx queue because we need to know if the refered urb has been started unlinking in unlink_urbs. The other part of this patch is based on Huajun's patch: always traverse from head of the tx/rx queue to get skb which is to be unlinked but not been started unlinking. 2012-05-14mlx4_core: Change bitmap allocator to work in round-robin fashionJack Morgenstein
Under most circumstances, the bitmap allocator does not allocate the same full 24-bit QP number immediately after a QP is destroyed. This works by using the upper bits of a 24-bit QP number, beyond the number of QPs that are actually available in the low level driver. For example, say that the HCA is willing to allocate a maximum of 64K qps. We use the bits 23..16 as a "counter" which is incremented by 1 at each allocation so that even if the same physical QP is re-allocated, it will not receive the same 24-bit QP number. However, we have seen the following scenario: 1. Allocate, say, 255 QPs in succession. This will cause a wrap of the "counter". 2. Destroy the first QP allocated, then allocate a new QP. The new QP, because of the counter wraparound, will get the same FULL QP number as the QP just destroyed! This is a problem because packets in transit can be erroneously delivered to the new QP when they were meant for the old (destroyed) QP, because the full QP number of the new QP is identical to the destroyed QP. (The "counter" mechanism is meant to prevent this by having the full 24-bit QP numbers differ even if the physical QP on the HCA is the same. As we see above, however, this mechanism does not always work). The best fix for this problem is to allocate QPs in round-robin mode, so that the physical QP numbers are not immediately re-used.
