2022-06-07scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Fix n2n login retry for secure deviceQuinn Tran
After initiator has burned up all login retries, target authentication application begins to run. This triggers a link bounce on target side. Initiator will attempt another login. Due to N2N, the PRLI [nvme | fcp] can fail because of the mode mismatch with target. This patch add a few more login retries to revive the connection. 2022-06-07scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Fix n2n discovery issue with secure targetQuinn Tran
User failed to see disk via n2n topology. Driver used up all login retries before authentication application started. When authentication application started, driver did not have enough login retries to connect securely. On app_start, driver will reset the login retry attempt count. 2022-06-07scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Remove old doorbell interfaceQuinn Tran
Recently driver has implemented a new doorbell mechanism via bsg. The new doorbell tells driver the exact buffer size application has where driver can fill it up with events. The old doorbell guestimated application buffer size is 256. Remove duplicate functionality, the application has moved on to the new doorbell interface. When a thread is in the process of reestablish a session, a flag is set to prevent multiple threads/triggers from doing the same task. This flag was left on, and any attempt to relogin was locked out. Clear this flag if the attempt has failed. 2022-06-07scsi: qla2xxx: edif: Add bsg interface to read doorbell eventsQuinn Tran
Add bsg interface for app to read doorbell events. This interface lets driver know how much app can read based on return buffer size. When the next event(s) occur, driver will return the bsg_job with the event(s) in the return buffer. If there is no event to read, driver will hold on to the bsg_job up to few seconds as a way to control the polling interval. This patch uses GFFID switch command to scan whether remote device is Target or Initiator mode. Based on that info, driver will not pass up Initiator info to authentication application. Aborting commands that have already been sent to the firmware can cause BUG in qlt_free_cmd(): BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) For instance: - Command passes rdx_to_xfer state, maps sgl, sends to the firmware - Reset occurs, qla2xxx performs ISP error recovery, aborts the command - Target stack calls qlt_abort_cmd() and then qlt_free_cmd() - BUG_ON(cmd->sg_mapped) in qlt_free_cmd() occurs because sgl was not unmapped Thus, unmap sgl in qlt_abort_cmd() for commands with the aborted flag set. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix laggy FC remote port session recoveryQuinn Tran
For session recovery, driver relies on the dpc thread to initiate certain operations. The dpc thread runs exclusively without the Mailbox interface being occupied. A recent code change for heartbeat check via mailbox cmd 0 is preventing the dpc thread from carrying out its operation. This patch allows the higher priority error recovery to run first before running the lower priority heartbeat check. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix hang due to session stuckQuinn Tran
User experienced device lost. The log shows Get port data base command was queued up, failed, and requeued again. Every time it is requeued, it set the FCF_ASYNC_ACTIVE. This prevents any recovery code from occurring because driver thinks a recovery is in progress for this session. In essence, this session is hung. The reason it gets into this place is the session deletion got in front of this call due to link perturbation. Break the requeue cycle and exit. The session deletion code will trigger a session relogin. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix N2N inconsistent PLOGIQuinn Tran
For N2N topology, ELS Passthrough is used to send PLOGI. On failure of ELS pass through PLOGI, driver flipped over to using LLIOCB PLOGI for N2N. This is not consistent. Delete the session to restart the connection where ELS pass through PLOGI would be used consistently. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix crash during module load unload testArun Easi
During purex packet handling the driver was incorrectly freeing a pre-allocated structure. Fix this by skipping that entry. System crashed with the following stack during a module unload test. 2022-03-15scsi: qla2xxx: Fix disk failure to rediscoverQuinn Tran
User experienced some of the LUN failed to get rediscovered after long cable pull test. The issue is triggered by a race condition between driver setting session online state vs starting the LUN scan process at the same time. Current code set the online state after notifying the session is available. In this case, trigger to start the LUN scan process happened before driver could set the session in online state. LUN scan ends up with failure due to the session online check was failing. Set the online state before reporting of the availability of the session.
