2018-01-17gpio: of: Fix NPE from OF flagsLinus Walleij
Some calls to of_get_named_gpio() calls sets the flags argument to NULL because they are not interested in the flags. This caused a null pointer exception since we were unconditionally using these flags. Fix it. This patch fixes regression added by commit d74595278f4ab ("scsi: qla2xxx: Add multiple queue pair functionality."). When driver is not able to get reqeusted IRQs from the system, driver will attempt tp clean up memory before failing hardware probe. During this cleanup, driver assigns NULL value to the pointer which has not been allocated by driver yet. This results in a NULL pointer access. 2018-01-17scsi: scsi_debug: delay stress fixDouglas Gilbert
Introduce a state enum into sdebug_defer objects to indicate which, if any, defer method has been used with the associated command. Also add 2 bools to indicate which of the defer methods has been initialized. Those objects are re-used but the initialization only needs to be done once. This simplifies command cancellation handling. Now the delay associated with a deferred response of a command cannot be changed (once started) by changing the delay (and ndelay) parameters in sysfs. Command aborts and driver shutdown are still honoured immediately when received. 2018-01-16i40iw: Remove limit on re-posting AEQ entries to HWSindhu Devale
Currently, if the number of processed Asynchronous Event Queue (AEQ) entries exceeds 255, they are not returned to HW for re-use. During scale-up, the unreturned AEQ entries can grow to the max AEQ size and cause the HW to report an AEQ overflow. Remove the check which limits the number of processed AEQ entries returned to HW. 2018-01-16tcmu: allow userspace to reset ringMike Christie
This patch adds 2 tcmu attrs to block/unblock a device and reset the ring buffer. They are used when the userspace daemon has crashed or forced to shutdown while IO is executing. On restart, the daemon can block the device so new IO is not sent to userspace while it puts the ring in a clean state. Notes: The reset ring opreation is specific to tcmu, but the block one could be generic. I kept it tcmu specific, because it requires some extra locking/state checks in the main IO path and since other backend modules did not need this functionality I thought only tcmu should take the perf hit. 2018-01-16target core: add device action configfs filesMike Christie
This patch adds a new group of files that are to be used to have the kernel module execution some action. The next patch will have target_core_user use the group/files to be able to block a device and to reset its memory buffer used to pass commands between user/kernel space. This type of file is different from the existing device attributes in that they may be write only and when written to they result in the kernel module executing some function. These need to be separate from the normal device attributes which get/set device values so userspace can continue to loop over all the attribs and get/set them during initialization. We get away lucky if the queue we are shutting down is empty, but if it isn't, we can end up oopsing. We really need to drain the queue before destroying it. The final one is an issue with bad user input causing us to access our port array out of bounds. While fixing the array out of bounds issue, it was noticed that the original code did the same thing twice (the call to rdma_ah_set_port_num()), so its removal is not balanced by a readd elsewhere, it was already where it needed to be in addition to where it didn't need to be. This allows tools that check that the module license matches the source code license to work properly, as there is no need to unwind the unneeded dereference. 2018-01-16Input: synaptics - reset the ABS_X/Y fuzz after initializing MT axesPeter Hutterer
input_mt_init_slots() resets the ABS_X/Y fuzz to 0 and expects the driver to call input_mt_report_pointer_emulation(). That is based on the MT position bits which are already defuzzed - hence a fuzz of 0. In the case of synaptics semi-mt devices, we report the ABS_X/Y axes manually. This results in the MT position being defuzzed but the single-touch emulation missing that defuzzing. The code for .get_multiple() has bugs: 1. The simple .get_multiple() just reads a register, masks it and sets the return value. This is not correct: we only want to assign values (whether 0 or 1) to the bits that are set in the mask. Fix this by using &= ~mask to clear all bits in the mask and then |= val & mask to set the corresponding bits from the read. 2. The bgpio_get_multiple_be() call has a similar problem: it uses the |= operator to set the bits, so only the bits in the mask are affected, but it misses to clear all returned bits from the mask initially, so some bits will be returned erroneously set to 1. 3. The bgpio_get_set_multiple() again fails to clear the bits from the mask. 4. find_next_bit() wasn't handled correctly, use a totally different approach for one function and change the other function to follow the design pattern of assigning the first bit to -1, then use bit + 1 in the for loop and < num_iterations as break condition.
