2023-04-20wifi: rtw88: handle station mode concurrent scan with AP modePo-Hao Huang
This patch allows vifs sharing same hardware with the AP mode vif to do scan, do note that this could lead to packet loss or disconnection of the AP's clients. Since we don't have chanctx, update scan info upon set channel so bandwidth changes won't go unnoticed and get misconfigured after scan. Download beacon just before scan starts to allow hardware to get proper content to do beaconing. Last, beacons should only be transmitted in AP's operating channel. Turn related beacon functions off while we're in other channels so the receiving stations won't get confused. 2023-04-20wifi: rtw88: prevent scan abort with other VIFsPo-Hao Huang
Only abort scan with current scanning VIF. If we have more than one interface, we could call rtw_hw_scan_abort() with the wrong VIF as input. This avoids potential null pointer being accessed when actually the other VIF is scanning. 2023-04-20wifi: rtw88: refine reserved page flow for AP modePo-Hao Huang
Only gather reserved pages from AP interface after it has started. Or else ieee80211_beacon_get_*() returns NULL and causes other VIFs' reserved pages fail to download. Update location of current reserved page after beacon renews so offsets changed by beacon can be recognized. Extend 8822c's reserved page number to accommodate additional required pages. Reserved page is an area of memory in the FIFO dedicated for special purposes. Previously only one interface is supported so 8 pages should suffice, extend it so we can support 2 interfaces concurrently. 2023-04-20wifi: rtw88: add port switch for AP modePo-Hao Huang
Switch port settings if AP mode does not start on port 0 because of hardware limitation. For some ICs, beacons on ports other than zero could misbehave and do not issue properly, to fix this we change AP VIFs to port zero when multiple interfaces is active. 2023-04-20device property: make device_property functions take const device *Guenter Roeck
device_property functions do not modify the device pointer passed to them. The underlying of_device and fwnode_ functions actually already take const * arguments. Mark the parameter constant to simplify conversion from of_property to device_property functions, and to let the calling code use const device pointers where possible. The function chameleon_parse_cells() returns the number of cells parsed which has an undetermined size. This return value is only used for error checking but the number of cells is never used. Change return value to be number of bytes parsed to allow for memory management improvements. 2023-04-20driver core: Don't require dynamic_debug for initcall_debug probe timingStephen Boyd
Don't require the use of dynamic debug (or modification of the kernel to add a #define DEBUG to the top of this file) to get the printk message about driver probe timing. This printk is only emitted when initcall_debug is enabled on the kernel commandline, and it isn't immediately obvious that you have to do something else to debug boot timing issues related to driver probe. Add a comment too so it doesn't get converted back to pr_debug(). 2023-04-20staging: rtl8192e: Fix W_DISABLE# does not work after stop/startPhilipp Hortmann
When loading the driver for rtl8192e, the W_DISABLE# switch is working as intended. But when the WLAN is turned off in software and then turned on again the W_DISABLE# does not work anymore. Reason for this is that in the function _rtl92e_dm_check_rf_ctrl_gpio() the bfirst_after_down is checked and returned when true. bfirst_after_down is set true when switching the WLAN off in software. But it is not set to false again when WLAN is turned on again. Add bfirst_after_down = false in _rtl92e_sta_up to reset bit and fix above described bug.
