2019-02-21parisc: Hide built-in serial aux port of Tosca GSP cardHelge Deller
Similar to commit bcf3f1752a62 ("parisc: Hide Diva-built-in serial aux and graphics card") it's better to hide the built-in serial AUX port at bootup. When not hiding the port, the Linux serial driver will try to manage this port and fails on a A500 server like this: serial 0000:00:05.0: enabling device (0000 -> 0003) serial 0000:00:05.0: enabling SERR and PARITY (0003 -> 0143) 0000:00:05.0: ttyS3 at MMIO 0xfffffffff8005000 (irq = 71, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A serial 0000:00:05.0: Couldn't register serial port 0, irq 71, type 2, error -28 Signed-off-by: Helge Deller <deller@gmx.de>
2019-02-21ixgbe: don't do any AF_XDP zero-copy transmit if netif is not OKJan Sokolowski
An issue has been found while testing zero-copy XDP that causes a reset to be triggered. As it takes some time to turn the carrier on after setting zc, and we already start trying to transmit some packets, watchdog considers this as an erroneous state and triggers a reset. Don't do any work if netif carrier is not OK. 2019-02-21i40e: fix XDP_REDIRECT/XDP xmit ring cleanup raceBjörn Töpel
When the driver clears the XDP xmit ring due to re-configuration or teardown, in-progress ndo_xdp_xmit must be taken into consideration. The ndo_xdp_xmit function is typically called from a NAPI context that the driver does not control. Therefore, we must be careful not to clear the XDP ring, while the call is on-going. This patch adds a synchronize_rcu() to wait for napi(s) (preempt-disable regions and softirqs), prior clearing the queue. Further, the __I40E_CONFIG_BUSY flag is checked in the ndo_xdp_xmit implementation to avoid touching the XDP xmit queue during re-configuration. Fixes: d9314c474d4f ("i40e: add support for XDP_REDIRECT") Fixes: 123cecd427b6 ("i40e: added queue pair disable/enable functions") Reported-by: Maciej Fijalkowski <maciej.fijalkowski@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Björn Töpel <bjorn.topel@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>
2019-02-21spi: spi-gpio: fix SPI_CS_HIGH capabilityRussell King
spi-gpio is capable of dealing with active-high chip-selects. Unfortunately, commit 4b859db2c606 ("spi: spi-gpio: add SPI_3WIRE support") broke this by setting master->mode_bits, which overrides the setting in the spi-bitbang code. Fix this. 2019-02-21ixgbe: fix potential RX buffer starvation for AF_XDPMagnus Karlsson
When the RX rings are created they are also populated with buffers so that packets can be received. Usually these are kernel buffers, but for AF_XDP in zero-copy mode, these are user-space buffers and in this case the application might not have sent down any buffers to the driver at this point. And if no buffers are allocated at ring creation time, no packets can be received and no interrupts will be generated so the NAPI poll function that allocates buffers to the rings will never get executed. To rectify this, we kick the NAPI context of any queue with an attached AF_XDP zero-copy socket in two places in the code. Once after an XDP program has loaded and once after the umem is registered. This take care of both cases: XDP program gets loaded first then AF_XDP socket is created, and the reverse, AF_XDP socket is created first, then XDP program is loaded. Fixes: d0bcacd0a130 ("ixgbe: add AF_XDP zero-copy Rx support") Signed-off-by: Magnus Karlsson <magnus.karlsson@intel.com> Tested-by: Andrew Bowers <andrewx.bowers@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Jeff Kirsher <jeffrey.t.kirsher@intel.com>

2019-02-21stm class: Prevent division by zeroAlexander Shishkin

2019-02-21stm class: Fix an endless loop in channel allocationZhi Jin
There is a bug in the channel allocation logic that leads to an endless loop when looking for a contiguous range of channels in a range with a mixture of free and occupied channels. For example, opening three consequtive channels, closing the first two and requesting 4 channels in a row will trigger this soft lockup. The bug is that the search loop forgets to skip over the range once it detects that one channel in that range is occupied. Restore the original intent to the logic by fixing the omission. 2019-02-21drm/i915: Reorder struct_mutex-vs-reset_lock in i915_gem_fault()Chris Wilson
Annoyingly, struct_mutex was not entirely eliminated from the reset pathway; for reasons of its own, intel_display_resume() requires struct_mutex to prepare the planes it already captured. To avoid the immediate problem of a deadlock between the struct_mutex and the reset srcu, we have to acquire the reset_lock before struct_mutex in i915_gem_fault(). Now any wait underneath struct_mutex will result us in having to forcibly reset all inflight rendering, less than ideal, but better than a deadlock (and will do for the short term). 2019-02-21gpio: of: Restrict enable-gpio quirk to regulator-gpioThierry Reding
Commit 0e7d6f940164 ("gpio: of: Apply regulator-gpio quirk only to enable-gpios") breaks the device tree ABI specified in the device tree bindings for fixed regulators (compatible "regulator-fixed"). According to these bindings the polarity of the GPIO is exclusively controlled by the presence or absence of the enable-active-high property. As such the polarity quirk implemented in of_gpio_flags_quirks() must be applied to the GPIO specified for fixed regulators. However, commit 0e7d6f940164 ("gpio: of: Apply regulator-gpio quirk only to enable-gpios") restricted the quirk to the enable-gpios property for fixed regulators as well, whereas according to the commit message itself it should only apply to "regulator-gpio" compatible device tree nodes. Fix this by actually implementing what the offending commit intended, which is to ensure that the quirk is applied to the GPIO specified by the "enable-gpio" property for the "regulator-gpio" bindings only. This fixes a regression on Jetson TX1 where the fixed regulator for the HDMI +5V pin relies on the flags quirk for the proper polarity. When running RISC-V QEMU with the Bochs device attached via PCIe the probe of the Bochs device fails with: [drm:bochs_hw_init] *ERROR* ID mismatch This was introduced by this commit: 7780eb9ce8 bochs: convert to drm_dev_register To fix the error we ensure that pci_enable_device() is called before bochs_load(). 2019-02-21regulator: fan53555: Add support for FAN53526Bjorn Andersson
The FAN53526 differs from the FAN53555 only in that the mode bit in VSEL0/VSEL1 is moved to the CONTROL register, the voltage selector mask is extended by 1 bit and the step is different. So extend the existing fan53555 driver to support FAN53526 as well. Signed-off-by: Bjorn Andersson <bjorn.andersson@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

2019-02-21drm: Fix drm_release() and device unplugNoralf Trønnes
If userspace has open fd(s) when drm_dev_unplug() is run, it will result in drm_dev_unregister() being called twice. First in drm_dev_unplug() and then later in drm_release() through the call to drm_put_dev(). Since userspace already holds a ref on drm_device through the drm_minor, it's not necessary to add extra ref counting based on no open file handles. Instead just drm_dev_put() unconditionally in drm_dev_unplug(). We now have this: - Userpace holds a ref on drm_device as long as there's open fd(s) - The driver holds a ref on drm_device as long as it's bound to the struct device When both sides are done with drm_device, it is released.
