2025-03-17pinctrl: qcom: Clear latched interrupt status when changing IRQ typeStephan Gerhold
When submitting the TLMM test driver, Bjorn reported that some of the test cases are failing for GPIOs that not are backed by PDC (i.e. "non-wakeup" GPIOs that are handled directly in pinctrl-msm). Basically, lingering latched interrupt state is still being delivered at IRQ request time, e.g.: ok 1 tlmm_test_silent_rising tlmm_test_silent_falling: ASSERTION FAILED at drivers/pinctrl/qcom/tlmm-test.c:178 Expected atomic_read(&priv->intr_count) == 0, but atomic_read(&priv->intr_count) == 1 (0x1) not ok 2 tlmm_test_silent_falling tlmm_test_silent_low: ASSERTION FAILED at drivers/pinctrl/qcom/tlmm-test.c:178 Expected atomic_read(&priv->intr_count) == 0, but atomic_read(&priv->intr_count) == 1 (0x1) not ok 3 tlmm_test_silent_low ok 4 tlmm_test_silent_high Whether to report interrupts that came in while the IRQ was unclaimed doesn't seem to be well-defined in the Linux IRQ API. However, looking closer at these specific cases, we're actually reporting events that do not match the interrupt type requested by the driver: 1. After "ok 1 tlmm_test_silent_rising", the GPIO is in low state and configured for IRQF_TRIGGER_RISING. 2. (a) In preparation for "tlmm_test_silent_falling", the GPIO is switched to high state. The rising interrupt gets latched. (b) The GPIO is re-configured for IRQF_TRIGGER_FALLING, but the latched interrupt isn't cleared. (c) The IRQ handler is called for the latched interrupt, but there wasn't any falling edge. 3. (a) For "tlmm_test_silent_low", the GPIO remains in high state. (b) The GPIO is re-configured for IRQF_TRIGGER_LOW. This seems to result in a phantom interrupt that gets latched. (c) The IRQ handler is called for the latched interrupt, but the GPIO isn't in low state. 4. (a) For "tlmm_test_silent_high", the GPIO is switched to low state. (b) This doesn't result in a latched interrupt, because RAW_STATUS_EN was cleared when masking the level-triggered interrupt. Fix this by clearing the interrupt state whenever making any changes to the interrupt configuration. This includes previously disabled interrupts, but also any changes to interrupt polarity or detection type. With this change, all 16 test cases are now passing for the non-wakeup GPIOs in the TLMM. 2025-03-17pinctrl: tegra: Set SFIO mode to Mux RegisterPrathamesh Shete
Tegra devices have an 'sfsel' bit field that determines whether a pin operates in SFIO (Special Function I/O) or GPIO mode. Currently, tegra_pinctrl_gpio_disable_free() sets this bit when releasing a GPIO. However, tegra_pinctrl_set_mux() can be called independently in certain code paths where gpio_disable_free() is not invoked. In such cases, failing to set the SFIO mode could lead to incorrect pin configurations, resulting in functional issues for peripherals relying on SFIO. This patch ensures that whenever set_mux() is called, the SFIO mode is correctly set in the Mux Register if the 'sfsel' bit is present. This prevents situations where the pin remains in GPIO mode despite being configured for SFIO use. 2025-03-17pmdomain: arm: scmi_pm_domain: Remove redundant state verificationSudeep Holla
Currently, scmi_pd_power() explicitly verifies whether the requested power state was applied by calling state_get(). While this check could detect failures where the state was not properly updated, ensuring correctness is the responsibility of the SCMI firmware. Removing this redundant state_get() call eliminates an unnecessary round-trip to the firmware, improving efficiency. Any mismatches between the requested and actual states should be handled by the SCMI firmware, which must return a failure if state_set() is unsuccessful. Additionally, in some cases, checking the state after powering off a domain may be unreliable or unsafe, depending on the firmware implementation. This patch removes the redundant verification, simplifying the function without compromising correctness. 2025-03-17cpufreq: Init cpufreq only for present CPUsJacky Bai
for_each_possible_cpu() is currently used to initialize cpufreq. However, in cpu_dev_register_generic(), for_each_present_cpu() is used to register CPU devices which means the CPU devices are only registered for present CPUs and not all possible CPUs. With nosmp or maxcpus=0, only the boot CPU is present, lead to the cpufreq probe failure or defer probe due to no cpu device available for not present CPUs. Change for_each_possible_cpu() to for_each_present_cpu() in the above cpufreq drivers to ensure it only registers cpufreq for CPUs that are actually present. 2025-03-16spi: sophgo: fix incorrect type for ret in sg2044_spifmc_write()Qasim Ijaz
The sg2044_spifmc_write() function uses 'ret' of unsigned type size_t to capture return values from sg2044_spifmc_wait_xfer_size() and sg2044_spifmc_wait_int(). Since these functions may return negative error codes, using an unsigned type prevents proper error detection, as size_t cannot represent negative values. Change 'ret' to type int so that negative values are handled correctly. Support new PMIC PF9453, which is totally difference with PCA9450. So create new file for it. The PF9453 is a single chip Power Management IC (PMIC) specifically designed for i.MX 91 processor. It provides power supply solutions for IoT (Internet of Things), smart appliance, and portable applications where size and efficiency are critical. The device provides four high efficiency step-down regulators, three LDOs, one 400 mA load switch and 32.768 kHz crystal oscillator driver. 2025-03-15PCI: imx6: Identify controller via 'linux,pci-domain', not addressRichard Zhu
Instead of testing the controller register address to distinguish controller 1 from controller 0 on i.MX8MQ platforms, use the PCI domain number, which comes from the devicetree 'linux,pci-domain' property. All relevant devicetrees should already supply 'linux,pci-domain', which was added by c0b70f05c87f ("arm64: dts: imx8mq: use_dt_domains for pci node"). Instead of being set directly in imx_pcie_probe(), pci->dbi_base will be set by the DWC core in dw_pcie_get_resources(). No functional changes intended. Rather than returning the address and storing the length into an argument pointer, add an address field to the walk struct and use that to store the address. The length is returned directly. Change the done functions to use this stored address instead of getting them from the caller. Split the address into two using a union.
