Some OHCI controllers from ATI/AMD seem to have difficulty with
"global" USB suspend, that is, suspending an entire USB bus without
setting the suspend feature for each port connected to a device. When
we try to resume the child devices, the controller gives timeout
errors on the unsuspended ports, requiring resets, and can even cause
ohci-hcd to hang; see

This patch fixes the problem by adding a new quirk flag to ohci-hcd.
The flag causes the ohci_rh_suspend() routine to suspend each
unsuspended, enabled port before suspending the root hub. This
effectively converts the "global" suspend to an ordinary root-hub
suspend. There is no need to unsuspend these ports when the root hub
is resumed, because the child devices will be resumed anyway in the
course of a normal system resume ("global" suspend is never used for
runtime PM).
This patch should be applied to all stable kernels which include
commit 0aa2832dd0d9 (USB: use "global suspend" for system sleep on
USB-2 buses) or a backported version thereof.

If we fail to create the master queue for some reason we should not attempt
to clean it up since attempting to stop a kthread that was not created will
hang and it's just generally bad practice. Unfortunately at present we call
spi_destroy_queue() even in cases where the creation fails.
Fix this by fixing the error handling in spi_master_initialize_queue() so
that we only flag the master as queued or destroy the queue if creation
succeeded. The change to the flag is done since the general master
cleanup uses this to destroy the queue.

Pull ACPI and power management fixes from Rafael Wysocki:
"A bunch of regression fixes this time. They fix two regressions in
the PNP subsystem, one in the ACPI processor driver and one in the
ACPI EC driver, four cpufreq driver regressions and an unrelated bug
in one of the drivers. The regressions are recent or introduced in
3.14.
Specifics:
- There are two bugs in the ACPI PNP core that cause errors to be
returned if optional ACPI methods are not present. After an ACPI
core change made in 3.14 one of those errors leads to serial port
suspend failures on some systems. Fix from Rafael J Wysocki.
- A recently added PNP quirk related to Intel chipsets intorduced a
build error in unusual configurations (PNP without PCI). Fix from
Bjorn Helgaas.
- An ACPI EC workaround related to system suspend on Samsung machines
added in 3.14 introduced a race causing some valid EC events to be
discarded. Fix from Kieran Clancy.
- The acpi-cpufreq driver fails to load on some systems after a 3.14
commit related to APIC ID parsing that overlooked one corner case.
Fix from Lan Tianyu.
- Fix for a recently introduced build problem in the ppc-corenet
cpufreq driver from Tim Gardner.
- A recent cpufreq core change to ensure serialization of frequency
transitions for drivers with a ->target_index() callback overlooked
the fact that some of those drivers had been doing operations
introduced by it into the core already by themselves. That
resulted in a mess in which the core and the drivers try to do the
same thing and block each other which leads to deadlocks. Fixes
for the powernow-k7, powernow-k6, and longhaul cpufreq drivers from
Srivatsa S Bhat.

"Drivercore race condition fix (exposed by devicetree)
This branch fixes a bug where a device can get stuck in the deferred
list even though all its dependencies are met. The bug has existed
for a long time, but new platform conversions to device tree have
exposed it. This patch is needed to get those platforms working.
This was the pending bug fix I mentioned in my previous pull request.
Normally this would go through Greg's tree seeing that it is a
drivercore change, but devicetree exposes the problem. I've discussed

of/irq: do irq resolution in platform_get_irq
changed platform_get_irq() which now returns EINVAL and EPROBE_DEFER,
in addition to ENXIO. If there's no interrupt for mvmdio, platform_get_irq()
returns EINVAL, but we currently check only for ENXIO.
Fix this by looking for a positive integer, which is the proper way of
validating a virtual interrupt number.
While at it, add a proper handling for the deferral probe case.

phy_state_machine should check whether auto-negotiatin is completed
before changing phydev->state from PHY_NOLINK to PHY_RUNNING. If
auto-negotiation is not completed phydev->state should be set to
PHY_AN.

There appear to be a crop of new hardware where the vbios is not
available from PROM/PRAMIN, but there is a valid _ROM method in ACPI.
The data read from PCIROM almost invariably contains invalid
instructions (still has the x86 opcodes), which makes this a low-risk
way to try to obtain a valid vbios image.

Tjmax on some Intel CPUs is below 85 degrees C. One known example is
L5630 with Tjmax of 71 degrees C. There are other Xeon processors with
Tjmax of 70 or 80 degrees C. Also, the Intel IA32 System Programming
document states that the temperature target is in bits 23:16 of MSR 0x1a2
(MSR_TEMPERATURE_TARGET), which is 8 bits, not 7.
So even if turbostat uses similar checks to validate Tjmax, there is no
evidence that the checks are actually required. On the contrary, the
checks are known to cause problems and therefore need to be removed.

Testing the update pending bit directly after issuing an
update is nonsense cause depending on the pixel clock the
CRTC needs a bit of time to execute the flip even when we
are in the VBLANK period.
This is just a non invasive patch to solve the problem at
hand, a more complete and cleaner solution should follow
in the next merge window.

Some RV7xx generation hardware crashes after you
raise the UVD clocks for the first time. Try to
avoid this by using the lower clocks to boot these.

According commit d640113fe (ACPI: processor: fix acpi_get_cpuid for UP
processor), BIOS may not provide _MAT or MADT tables and acpi_get_apicid()
always returns -1. For these cases, original code will pass apic_id with
vaule of -1 to acpi_map_cpuid() and it will check the acpi_id. If acpi_id
is equal to zero, ignores apic_id and return zero for CPU0.
Commit b981513 (ACPI / scan: bail out early if failed to parse APIC
ID for CPU) changed the behavior. Return ENODEV when find apic_id is
less than zero after calling acpi_get_apicid(). This causes acpi-cpufreq
driver fails to be loaded on some machines. This patch is to fix it.

Sub page write doesn't work because of hw issue in controller found on
Keystone SOCs. AEMIF controller is also used on DaVinci SOCs which
don't seems to have any issue. So add "ti,keysone-nand" compatible
to nand driver in order to set NAND_NO_SUBPAGE_WRITE option.

The ACPI PNP subsystem returns errors from pnpacpi_set_resources()
and pnpacpi_disable_resources() if the _SRS or _DIS methods are not
present, respectively, but it should not do that, because those
methods are optional. For this reason, modify pnpacpi_set_resources()
and pnpacpi_disable_resources(), respectively, to ignore missing _SRS
or _DIS.
This problem has been uncovered by commit 202317a573b2 (ACPI / scan:
Add acpi_device objects for all device nodes in the namespace) and
manifested itself by causing serial port suspend to fail on some
systems.

For phy devices that don't issue interrupts upon link
state changes, phylib polls the link state resulting in
repeated calls to adjust_link(), even if the link state
didn't change. As a result, some mac registers are
repeatedly read and written with the same values, which
is not ok.
To fix this, adjust_link() has been refactored to check
first whether the link state has changed and to take action
only if needed, updating mac registers and local state
variables. The 'new_state' local flag, set if one of the
link params changed (link, speed or duplex), has been
rendered useless and removed by this refactoring.

The commit above doesn't appear to be necessary any more as the
checksums appear to be correctly computed/validated.
Additionally the above commit breaks kvm configurations where
one VM is using a device that support checksum offload (virtio) and
the other VM does not.
In this case, packets leaving virtio device will have CHECKSUM_PARTIAL
set. The packets is forwarded to a macvtap that has offload features
turned off. Since we use CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY, the host does does not
update the checksum and thus a bad checksum is passed up to
the guest.

The following is a problematic configuration:
VM1: virtio-net device connected to macvtap0@eth0
VM2: e1000 device connect to macvtap1@eth0
The problem is is that virtio-net supports checksum offloading
and thus sends the packets to the host with CHECKSUM_PARTIAL set.
On the other hand, e1000 does not support any acceleration.
For small TCP packets (and this includes the 3-way handshake),
e1000 ends up receiving packets that only have a partial checksum
set. This causes TCP to fail checksum validation and to drop
packets. As a result tcp connections can not be established.

macvtap: Perform GSO on forwarding path.
fixes this issue for large packets wthat will end up undergoing GSO.
This commit adds a check for the non-GSO case and attempts to
compute the checksum for partially checksummed packets in the

sgdma_descrip is a function name as well as the name of a struct. In
sgdma_initialize(), we should initialize the descriptor length field
with the actual length of a descriptor not with the size of the
function. In order to prevent such things from happening in the future,
rename the function to sgdma_setup_descrip().
Found by sparse which yields the following warning:

When a clock is unregsitered, we iterate over the list of
children and reparent them to NULL (i.e. orphan list). While
iterating the list, we should use the safe iterators because the
children list for this clock is changing when we reparent the
children to NULL. Failure to iterate safely can lead to slab
corruption like this:

Now that clk_unregister() frees the struct clk we're
unregistering we'll free memory twice: first we'll call kfree()
in __clk_release() with an address kmalloc doesn't know about and
second we'll call kfree() in the devres layer. Remove the
allocation of struct clk in devm_clk_register() and let
clk_release() handle it. This fixes slab errors like:

Currently on 3.15-rc1, the SOCFPGA platform is unable to boot. This patch
fixes the issue and allows the platform to boot.

commit [1771b10d6 clk: respect the clock dependencies in of_clk_init]
exposed a flaw in the socfpga clock driver and prevents the platform
from booting on 3.15-rc1.
Because the "altr,clk-mgr" is not really a clock, it should not be using
CLK_OF_DECLARE, instead we should be mapping the clk-mgr's base address
one of the functional clock init function. Use the socfpga_pll_init function
to map the clk_mgr_base_addr as this clock should always be initialized first.

The divider returned by clk_divider_bestdiv() is likely to be invalid in case
of power-of-two and table dividers when CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT flag isn't set.
Fixes boot on STiH416 platform.
