2011-10-11ath9k: remove some bogus error handling codeDan Carpenter
If "axq_qnum >= ARRAY_SIZE(sc->tx.txq)", then the call to ath9k_hw_releasetxqueue() would read beyond the end of the ah->txq[] array and possibly corrupt memory. Fortunately, ath9k_hw_setuptxqueue() doesn't return high values of "axq_qnum" and this code can be removed. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: John W. 2011-10-11ath5k: remove some unneeded error handling codeDan Carpenter
th5k_hw_setup_tx_queue() returns a valid offset into the ah->ah_txq[] array. The ah->ah_txq[] and the ah->txqs[] array are the same size. Both have AR5K_NUM_TX_QUEUES elements. So this error handling code will never trigger. Also it's wrong. The call to ath5k_hw_release_tx_queue() with a qnum of AR5K_NUM_TX_QUEUES or more will just trigger a WARN_ON() and return. Or if it missed the WARN_ON(), it would just corrupt some memory and return. 2011-10-11staging: zcache: fix crash on cpu removeSeth Jennings
In the case that a cpu is taken offline before zcache_do_preload() is ever called on the cpu, the per-cpu zcache_preloads structure will be uninitialized. In the CPU_DEAD case for zcache_cpu_notifier(), kp->obj is not checked before calling kmem_cache_free() on it. If it is NULL, a crash results. This patch ensures that both kp->obj and kp->page are not NULL before calling the respective free functions. In practice, just checking one or the other should be sufficient since they are assigned together in zcache_do_preload(), but I check both for safety. 2011-10-11staging:iio:dac:ad5638: Fix channel addressLars-Peter Clausen
Commit c6fc806247 ("staging:iio: ABI rework - add in_ or out_ prefix to channnels") added the AD5868_CHANNEL macro to simplify channel initialization. Unfortunately the macro hardcodes the channel's address to AD5686_ADDR_DAC0. As a result writing to any of the channels will change the value of the first channel. This patch fixes the issue by calculating the channel address based on the channel number. 2011-10-11md: add proper write-congestion reporting to RAID1 and RAID10.NeilBrown
RAID1 and RAID10 handle write requests by queuing them for handling by a separate thread. This is because when a write-intent-bitmap is active we might need to update the bitmap first, so it is good to queue a lot of writes, then do one big bitmap update for them all. However writeback request devices to appear to be congested after a while so it can make some guesstimate of throughput. The infinite queue defeats that (note that RAID5 has already has a finite queue so it doesn't suffer from this problem). So impose a limit on the number of pending write requests. By default it is 1024 which seems to be generally suitable. Make it configurable via module option just in case someone finds a regression. Signed-off-by: NeilBrown <neilb@suse.de>
