2018-09-19xen: issue warning message when out of grant maptrack entriesJuergen Gross
When a driver domain (e.g. dom0) is running out of maptrack entries it can't map any more foreign domain pages. Instead of silently stalling the affected domUs issue a rate limited warning in this case in order to make it easier to detect that situation. The N value was computed by kernel driver that based on synchronous clock mode. But only specific N value (0x8000) would be acceptable for LG LP140WF6-SPM1 eDP panel which is running at asynchronous clock mode. With the other N value, Tcon will enter BITS mode and display black screen. Some DP dongles in particular seem to be fussy about too large link M/N values. Set specific value for N divider can resolve this issue per dongle vendor's comment. 2018-09-18net: mvpp2: fix a txq_done race conditionAntoine Tenart
When no Tx IRQ is available, the txq_done() routine (called from tx_done()) shouldn't be called from the polling function, as in such case it is already called in the Tx path thanks to an hrtimer. This mostly occurred when using PPv2.1, as the engine then do not have Tx IRQs. EtherAVB hardware requires 0 to be written to status register bits in order to clear them, however, care must be taken not to: 1. Clear other bits, by writing zero to them 2. Write one to reserved bits This patch corrects the ravb driver with respect to the second point above. This is done by defining reserved bit masks for the affected registers and, after auditing the code, ensure all sites that may write a one to a reserved bit use are suitably masked. 2018-09-18net: emac: fix fixed-link setup for the RTL8363SB switchChristian Lamparter
On the Netgear WNDAP620, the emac ethernet isn't receiving nor xmitting any frames from/to the RTL8363SB (identifies itself as a RTL8367RB). This is caused by the emac hardware not knowing the forced link parameters for speed, duplex, pause, etc. This begs the question, how this was working on the original driver code, when it was necessary to set the phy_address and phy_map to 0xffffffff. 2018-09-18net: stmmac: Fixup the tail addr setting in xmit pathJose Abreu
Currently we are always setting the tail address of descriptor list to the end of the pre-allocated list. According to databook this is not correct. Tail address should point to the last available descriptor + 1, which means we have to update the tail address everytime we call the xmit function. This should make no impact in older versions of MAC but in newer versions there are some DMA features which allows the IP to fetch descriptors in advance and in a non sequential order so its critical that we set the tail address correctly. 2018-09-18net: stmmac: Rework coalesce timer and fix multi-queue racesJose Abreu
This follows David Miller advice and tries to fix coalesce timer in multi-queue scenarios. We are now using per-queue coalesce values and per-queue TX timer. Coalesce timer default values was changed to 1ms and the coalesce frames to 25. Tested in B2B setup between XGMAC2 and GMAC5. 2018-09-18drm/i915/sdvo: Fix multi function encoder stuffVille Syrjälä
SDVO encoders can have multiple different types of outputs hanging off them. Currently the code tries to muck around with various is_foo flags in the encoder to figure out which type its driving. That doesn't work with atomic and other stuff, so let's nuke those flags and just look at which type of connector we're actually dealing with. The is_hdmi we'll need as that's not discoverable via the output flags, but we'll just move it under the connector. We'll also move the sdvo fixed mode handling out from the .get_modes() hook into the sdvo lvds init function so that we can bail out properly if there is no fixed mode to be found. convert drm_atomic_helper_suspend/resume() to use drm_mode_config_helper_suspend/resume(). With this conversion, tegra_drm_fb_suspend() and tegra_drm_fb_resume() will not be used anymore. Both of these functions can be removed. Also, in tegra_drm struct's member state will not be used anymore. So this can be removed forever. Fixed one sparse warning. 2018-09-18intel_th: Fix resource handling for ACPI glue layerAlexander Shishkin
The core of the driver expects the resource array from the glue layer to be indexed by even numbers, as is the case for 64-bit PCI resources. This doesn't hold true for others, ACPI in this instance, which leads to an out-of-bounds access and an ioremap() on whatever address that access fetches. This patch fixes the problem by reading resource array differently based on whether the 64-bit flag is set, which would indicate PCI glue layer. 2018-09-18intel_th: Fix device removal logicAlexander Shishkin
Commit a753bfcfdb1f ("intel_th: Make the switch allocate its subdevices") brings in new subdevice addition/removal logic that's broken for "host mode": the SWITCH device has no children to begin with, which is not handled in the code. This results in a null dereference bug later down the path. This patch fixes the subdevice removal code to handle host mode correctly. 2018-09-18drm/i915: Replace some PAGE_SHIFTs with I915_GTT_PAGE_SIZEVille Syrjälä
Clean up some cases where we're dealing with GTT pages instead of system pages to use I915_GTT_PAGE_SIZE instead of PAGE_SHIT. So just replace the the shifts with mul/div as appropriate. These are the easy ones, the rest probably need some actual thought. No real changes in the generated asm. Only gen8_ppgtt_insert_4lvl() was affected as gcc decided to do the following change: - be9: 89 d9 mov %ebx,%ecx - beb: c1 e1 0c shl $0xc,%ecx - bee: 48 63 c9 movslq %ecx,%rcx + be9: 48 63 cb movslq %ebx,%rcx + bec: 48 c1 e1 0c shl $0xc,%rcx and that then shifted a bunch of the offset by one byte. I presume the sign extensions in the asm are due to integer promotions from u16 etc. Hopefully someone has confirmed that those don't end up doing the wrong thing for us. The function tty_port_tty_get() gets a reference to the tty. Since the code is not using tty_port_tty_set(), the reference is kept even after closing the tty. 2018-09-18serial: mvebu-uart: Fix reporting of effective CSIZE to userspaceJan Kiszka
Apparently, this driver (or the hardware) does not support character length settings. It's apparently running in 8-bit mode, but it makes userspace believe it's in 5-bit mode. That makes tcsetattr with CS8 incorrectly fail, breaking e.g. getty from busybox, thus the login shell on ttyMVx. Fix by hard-wiring CS8 into c_cflag.
