Make hci_uart_register_device() and hci_uart_unregister_device() call
serdev_device_close()/open() themselves instead of relying on the various
hci_uart drivers to do this for them.
Besides reducing code complexity, this also ensures correct error checking
of serdev_device_open(), which was missing in a few drivers.

For reasons explained in detail in commit 3611f4d2a5e0 ("hci_ldisc:
fix null pointer deref") the hci_uart_close() functions sets
hci_dev->flush to NULL.
But the device may be re-opened after a close, this commit restores the
hci_dev->flush callback on open().
Note this commit also moves the nearly empty defition of hci_uart_open()
a bit down in the file to avoid the need for forward declaring
hci_uart_flush().

Make sure the rx_allocator worker is canceled before running the
rx_init routine. rx_init frees and re-allocates all rxb's pages. The
rx_allocator worker also allocates pages for the used rxb's. Running
rx_init and rx_allocator simultaniously causes a kernel panic. Fix
that by canceling the work in rx_init.

Our hardware has a limited amount of buffer descriptors
for each Tx packet. Because of that, there is a short
piece of code that makes sure that that we don't push too
many subframes in an A-MSDU because of subframes needs 2
buffer descriptors. This code also takes into account the
number of fragment of the skb since we also need a buffer
descriptor for each fragment in the skb.
This piece of code though didn't check that the resulting
number of subframes wasn't 0.
A user reported that using NFS client, he could get skbs
that are so fragmented that the code mentioned above
returned 0 for the number of subframes making
skb_gso_segment fail and subconsequently iwlwifi would WARN.
Fix this by make sure that num_subframes is at least 1.

Some of the INT340X devices may not have hysteresis defined in the ACPI
definition. In that case reading trip hysteresis results in error. This
spams logs of user space utilities.
In this case instead of returning error, just return hysteresis as 0,
which is correct as there is no hysteresis defined for the device.

This patch fixes the following warning during boot:
do not call blocking ops when !TASK_RUNNING; state=1 set at
[<(ptrval)>] qca_setup+0x194/0x750 [hci_uart]

__might_sleep+0x7c/0x88
In qca_set_baudrate(), the current task state is set to
TASK_UNINTERRUPTIBLE before going to sleep for 300ms. It was then
restored to TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE. This patch sets the current task state
back to TASK_RUNNING instead.

In some cases we may get from FW errored frames with
UNKNOWN security type.
This may happen in unsecured aggregation flow, where
the first packet had a CRC error in the WEP bit, which
was followed by a failure to decrypt and was dropped.
The next frames in the aggregation "inherit" the bad metadata
of the first packet.
Make sure to drop such frames since RADA and other offloads
will not operate correctly which may have unexpected results.
In case of AP it also causes to TX AMSDU frames to the peers,
resulting with assert 0x104B.

With recent CQ handling improvements we can now move the locking into
__nvme_submit_cmd. Also remove the local tail variable to make the code
more obvious, remove the __ prefix in the name, and fix the comments
describing the function.

The block layer's timeout handling currently prevents drivers from
completing commands outside the timeout callback once blk-mq decides
they've expired. If a device breaks, this could potentially create many
thousands of timed out commands. There's nothing of value to be gleaned
from observing each of those messages, so this patch adds a rate limit
on them.

The current checks for whether a new controller request "matches" an
existing controller ignores controller state and checks identity strings.
There are cases where an existing controller may be in its last steps of
deletion when they are "matched" by a new connection.
Change the behavior so that the new connection ignores controllers that
are deleted.

From SDM845, the Q6SS reset sequence on software side has been
simplified with the introduction of boot FSM which assists in
bringing the Q6 out of reset.
SDM845 brings a new reset signal ALT_RESET which is a part of
the MSS subsystem hence requires reset clks to be enabled before
assert/deassert. Use the SoC specific reset helper function to
add support for ALT_RESET in SDM845.

As we keep the offloaded TC rules for NIC and e-switch in two different

When mlx5_fpga_conn_unmap_buf is called buf->sg[0].size
should equal the actual buffer size, not the message size.
Otherwise we will trigger the following dma debug warning

Celes has newer touch controller (compared to the controllers used in
older BayTrail-based devices) and so uses the same button mapping as
Samus.
This fixes the issue with mouse button being stuck in pressed state
after the first click.

The new mini-CQE format includes the stride index, byte count and
packet checksum.
Stride index is needed for striding WQ feature.
This patch exposes this capability and enables its setting
via mlx5 UHW data as part of query device and cq creation.

Refactor CQE compression response to be fully set only
when it`s really supported. There is no change from user
perspective because anyway resp.cqe_comp_caps.max_num was

required, yet the CRTC is still in the atomic state, we should not
attempt to update anything on it.
Previously, we were relying on the modereset_required() helper to check
the above condition. However, the function returns false immediately if
a modeset is not required, ignoring the CRTC's enable/active state
flags. The correct way to filter is by looking at these flags instead.

Bsg holding a reference to the parent device may result in a crash if a
bsg file handle is closed after the parent device driver has unloaded.
Holding a reference is not really needed: the parent device must exist
between bsg_register_queue and bsg_unregister_queue. Before the device
goes away the caller does blk_cleanup_queue so that all in-flight
requests to the device are gone and all new requests cannot pass beyond
the queue. The queue itself is a refcounted object and it will stay
alive with a bsg file.

DP 1.4 compliance requires 16 bytes to be read when reading link caps,
i.e. it requires DP_ADAPTER_CAP to be included. Included it for all DP
versions because reading more than required won't fail.

Because it looks neater.
For diolan, this allows factoring out some code that is now common
between if and else.
For eg20t, pch_i2c_writebytes is always called with a write in
msgs->flags, and pch_i2c_readbytes with a read.
For imx, i2c_imx_dma_write and i2c_imx_write are always called with a
write in msgs->flags, and i2c_imx_read with a read.
For qup, qup_i2c_write_tx_fifo_v1 is always called with a write in
qup->msg->flags.
For stu300, also restructure debug output for resends, since that
code as a result is only handling debug output.

When a DRM mode reset is called on resume, the connector state's
destructor is not called. This leaves a dangling reference on the CRTC
commit object, which was obtained by the connector state during commit
setup.
