2013-06-28Merge branch 'for-davem' of git://gitorious.org/linux-can/linux-can-nextDavid S. Miller
Marc Kleine-Budde says: ==================== this is a pull-request for net-next/master. It consists of three patches by Fabio Estevam and me, which convert the flexcan transceiver switching to DT[1] and a patch by Sachin Kamat, which cleans up the at91_can driver a bit. [1] These patches touch arch/arm/mach-imx, so I collected Acked-bys from Shawn Guo and Sascha Hauer. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2013-06-28nlmon: fix comparison in nlmon_is_valid_mtuDaniel Borkmann
This patch fixes the following warning introduced in e4fc408e0e99 ("packet: nlmon: virtual netlink monitoring device for packet sockets") reported by Dan Carpenter: warning: "drivers/net/nlmon.c:31 nlmon_is_valid_mtu() warn: always true condition '(new_mtu <= ((~0 >> 1))) => (s32min-s32max <= s32max)'" Thus, we should simply remove the test against INT_MAX. Next to that we also need to explicitly cast the sizeof() case as the comparison is type promoted to unsigned long so negative values are then valid instead of invalid. While at it, this also adds a comment about Netlink and MTUs. Reported-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Borkmann <dborkman@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2013-06-28charger-manager: Fix regulator_get() return checkJonghwa Lee
This patch fixes return value checking of regulator_get() in charger-manager driver. The API, regulator_get(), returns ERR_PTR() when it fails to get regulator with given name, not NULL. Signed-off-by: Jonghwa Lee <jonghwa3.lee@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Myungjoo Ham <myungjoo.ham@samsung.com> Acked-by: Chanwoo Choi <cw00.choi@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <anton@enomsg.org>
2013-06-28charger-manager: Fix a bug when it unregisters notifier block of extconJonghwa Lee
This patch prevents NULL pointer error cauesed by unregistering unregistered exton notifier block. At the probing time of charger manager, it tries to remove extcon notifier block when it fails to initialize them. It has to be applied for only registered one. Otherwise, it'd make kernel panic. To make it work right, it checks extcon_specific_cable_nb's extcon_dev node. If extcon cable notifier block was registered successfully, it has proper extcon_dev pointer if not so it has NULL pointer. 2013-06-28tps65090-charger: Add dt node to power_supplyRhyland Klein
Passing in the dt node for this charger enables the logic in the core to lookup this device, to see if it is supplying another power_supply, through dt. Signed-off-by: Rhyland Klein <rklein@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <anton@enomsg.org>
2013-06-28sbs-battery: Add dt to power_supply structRhyland Klein
By passing in the dt node of this device, we enable the logic for linking power_supplies together from dt. This is specified by adding a "power-supplies" property with a phandle to the charger for a given supply. Enable this logic now for the sbs-battery driver. Signed-off-by: Rhyland Klein <rklein@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <anton@enomsg.org>
2013-06-28power_supply: Add of_node_put to fix refcountRhyland Klein
of_parse_phandle increments the refcount for a dt node before returning it. Add of_node_put where needed to properly decrement the refcount when we are done using a given node. Signed-off-by: Rhyland Klein <rklein@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <anton@enomsg.org>
2013-06-28efivars: If pstore_register fails, free unneeded pstore bufferLenny Szubowicz
This is patch 3/3 of a patch set that cleans up pstore_register failure paths. If efivars fails to register with pstore, there is no point to keeping the 4 KB buffer around. It's only used by the pstore read/write routines. Signed-off-by: Lenny Szubowicz <lszubowi@redhat.com> Reported-by: Naotaka Hamaguchi <n.hamaguchi@jp.fujitsu.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2013-06-28acpi: Eliminate console msg if pstore.backend excludes ERSTLenny Szubowicz
This is patch 2/3 of a patch set that avoids what misleadingly appears to be a error during boot: ERST: Could not register with persistent store This message is displayed if the system has a valid ACPI ERST table and the pstore.backend kernel parameter has been used to disable use of ERST by pstore. But this same message is used for errors that preclude registration. In erst_init don't complain if the setting of kernel parameter pstore.backend precludes use of ACPI ERST for pstore. Routine pstore_register will inform about the facility that does register. Also, don't leave a dangling pointer to deallocated mem for the pstore buffer when registration fails. 2013-06-28xen: Remove clock_was_set() call in the resume pathDavid Vrabel
commit 359cdd3f866(xen: maintain clock offset over save/restore) added a clock_was_set() call into the xen resume code to propagate the system time changes. With the modified hrtimer resume code, which makes sure that all cpus are notified this call is not longer necessary. 2013-06-28[SCSI] megaraid: minor cut and paste error fixed.James Georgas

2013-06-28[SCSI] ufs: fix register address in UIC error interrupt handlingAkinobu Mita
In UIC error interrupt handling, it checks if UIC data link layer error code indicates PA_INIT_ERROR in order to determine whether a fatal error handling is needed or not. But the code tries to read UIC data link layer error code from wrong REG_UIC_ERROR_CODE_PHY_ADAPTER_LAYER, it should be REG_UIC_ERROR_CODE_DATA_LINK_LAYER. 2013-06-28[SCSI] ufs: rework link start-up processSeungwon Jeon
Link start-up requires long time with multiphase handshakes between UFS host and device. This affects driver's probe time. This patch let link start-up run asynchronously. Link start-up will be executed at the end of prove separately. Along with this change, the following is worked. Defined completion time of uic command to avoid a permanent wait. Added mutex to guarantee of uic command at a time. Adapted some sequence of controller initialization after link statup according to HCI standard.
