2023-07-20iio: adc: meson: remove unused timestamp channelGeorge Stark
Remove IIO_CHAN_SOFT_TIMESTAMP channel because it's used only for buffering mode which is not implemented. 2023-07-20iio: Make return value check for set_trigger_state() consistentWaqar Hameed
In `iio_trigger_detach_poll_func()` the return value from `trig->ops->set_trigger_state(trig, false)` is checked with `if (ret)`. However, in `iio_trigger_attach_poll_func()` it is checked with `if (ret < 0)`. Resolve this mismatch by only checking for `if (ret)` in both places. 2023-07-20iio: adc: ti-lmp92064: add buffering supportLeonard Göhrs
Enable buffered reading of samples from the LMP92064 ADC. The main benefit of this change is being able to read out current and voltage measurements in a single transfer, allowing instantaneous power measurements. Reads into the buffer can be triggered by any software triggers, e.g. the iio-trig-hrtimer: $ mkdir /sys/kernel/config/iio/triggers/hrtimer/my-trigger $ cat /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio\:device3/name lmp92064 $ iio_readdev -t my-trigger -b 16 iio:device3 | hexdump WARNING: High-speed mode not enabled 0000000 0000 0176 0101 0001 5507 abd5 7645 1768 0000010 0000 016d 0101 0001 ee1e ac6b 7645 1768 ... 2023-07-20iio: imu: inv_mpu6050: read the full fifo when processing dataJean-Baptiste Maneyrol
When processing data read the full fifo data in 1 time. If there are several samples in the FIFO, it means we are experiencing system delay. In this case, it is better to read all data with 1 bus access than to add additional latency by doing several ones. This requires to use a bigger buffer depending on chip FIFO size and do an additional local data copy before sending. But the cost is minimal and behavior is still better like this under system heavy load. 2023-07-20iio: light: vcnl4000: Add period for vcnl4040/4200Astrid Rost
Add read/write attribute for proximity and illuminance period. The period is set in the interrupt persistence flags(PS_PERS and ALS_PERS). An interrupt will not be asserted if the raw value is not over (or lower) than the threshold for the set continued amount of measurements. The time in seconds is calculated by the number of continued refreshes multiplied with the integration time. It will always pick the next lower possible value. 2023-07-20s390/zcrypt: fix reply buffer calculations for CCA repliesHarald Freudenberger
The length information for available buffer space for CCA replies is covered with two fields in the T6 header prepended on each CCA reply: fromcardlen1 and fromcardlen2. The sum of these both values must not exceed the AP bus limit for this card (24KB for CEX8, 12KB CEX7 and older) minus the always present headers. The current code adjusted the fromcardlen2 value in case of exceeding the AP bus limit when there was a non-zero value given from userspace. Some tests now showed that this was the wrong assumption. Instead the userspace value given for this field should always be trusted and if the sum of the two fields exceeds the AP bus limit for this card the first field fromcardlen1 should be adjusted instead. So now the calculation is done with this new insight in mind. Also some additional checks for overflow have been introduced and some comments to provide some documentation for future maintainers of this complicated calculation code. Furthermore the 128 bytes of fix overhead which is used in the current code is not correct. Investigations showed that for a reply always the same two header structs are prepended before a possible payload. So this is also fixed with this patch. 2023-07-20firmware: arm_scmi: Fix chan_free cleanup on SMCCristian Marussi
SCMI transport based on SMC can optionally use an additional IRQ to signal message completion. The associated interrupt handler is currently allocated using devres but on shutdown the core SCMI stack will call .chan_free() well before any managed cleanup is invoked by devres. As a consequence, the arrival of a late reply to an in-flight pending transaction could still trigger the interrupt handler well after the SCMI core has cleaned up the channels, with unpleasant results. 2023-07-20fbdev: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-07-20fbdev: au1200fb: Fix missing IRQ check in au1200fb_drv_probeZhang Shurong
This func misses checking for platform_get_irq()'s call and may passes the negative error codes to request_irq(), which takes unsigned IRQ #, causing it to fail with -EINVAL, overriding an original error code. Fix this by stop calling request_irq() with invalid IRQ #s.
