acpi_evaluate_object() and acpi_execute_simple_method() are not part of
the group of ACPI related functions which get stubbed by
include/linux/acpi.h when ACPI support is disabled, so the
IRQ_PIN_ACCESS_ACPI_METHOD handling code must be stubbed out.
For consistency use the same #if condition as which is used to replace
goodix_add_acpi_gpio_mappings with a stub.

When we try to get an MSI cookie for a VFIO device, that can fail if
CONFIG_IOMMU_DMA is not set. In this case iommu_get_msi_cookie() returns
-ENODEV, and that should not be fatal.
Ignore that case and proceed with the initialisation.
This fixes VFIO with a platform device on the Calxeda Midway (no MSIs).

Older versions of skiboot only provide a single value in the device
tree property "ibm,mmio-atsd", even when multiple Address Translation
Shoot Down (ATSD) registers are present. This prevents NVLink2 devices
(other than the first) from being used with vfio-pci because vfio-pci
expects to be able to assign a dedicated ATSD register to each NVLink2
device.
However, ATSD registers can be shared among devices. This change
allows vfio-pci to fall back to sharing the register at index 0 if
necessary.

If we don't have any filters available we can't rely upon the return
code of stmmac_add_hw_vlan_rx_fltr() / stmmac_del_hw_vlan_rx_fltr(). Add
a check for this.

struct can_frame contains some padding which is not explicitly zeroed in
slc_bump. This uninitialized data will then be transmitted if the stack
initialization hardening feature is not enabled (CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL).
This commit just zeroes the whole struct including the padding.

The masks in priv->clk_25m_reg and priv->clk_25m_mask are one-bits-set
for the values that comprise the fields, not zero-bits-set.
This patch fixes the clock frequency configuration for ATH8030 and
ATH8035 Atheros PHYs by removing the erroneous "~".
To reproduce this bug, configure the PHY with the device tree binding
"qca,clk-out-frequency" and remove the machine specific PHY fixups.

cxgb4_update_mac_filt() earlier requests firmware to add a new MAC
address into MPS TCAM. The MPS TCAM index returned by firmware is
stored in pi->xact_addr_filt. However, the saved MPS TCAM index gets
overwritten again with the return value of cxgb4_update_mac_filt(),
which is wrong.
When trying to update to another MAC address later, the wrong MPS TCAM
index is sent to firmware, which causes firmware to return error,
because it's not the same MPS TCAM index that firmware had sent
earlier to driver.
So, fix by removing the wrong overwrite being done after call to
cxgb4_update_mac_filt().

This patch introduces a vDPA transport for virtio. This is used to
use kernel virtio driver to drive the vDPA device that is capable
of populating virtqueue directly.
A new virtio-vdpa driver will be registered to the vDPA bus, when a
new virtio-vdpa device is probed, it will register the device with
vdpa based config ops. This means it is a software transport between
vDPA driver and vDPA device. The transport was implemented through
bus_ops of vDPA parent.

vDPA device is a device that uses a datapath which complies with the
virtio specifications with vendor specific control path. vDPA devices
can be both physically located on the hardware or emulated by
software. vDPA hardware devices are usually implemented through PCIE
with the following types:
- PF (Physical Function) - A single Physical Function
- VF (Virtual Function) - Device that supports single root I/O
virtualization (SR-IOV). Its Virtual Function (VF) represents a
virtualized instance of the device that can be assigned to different
partitions
- ADI (Assignable Device Interface) and its equivalents - With
technologies such as Intel Scalable IOV, a virtual device (VDEV)
composed by host OS utilizing one or more ADIs. Or its equivalent
like SF (Sub function) from Mellanox.
>From a driver's perspective, depends on how and where the DMA
translation is done, vDPA devices are split into two types:
- Platform specific DMA translation - From the driver's perspective,
the device can be used on a platform where device access to data in
memory is limited and/or translated. An example is a PCIE vDPA whose
DMA request was tagged via a bus (e.g PCIE) specific way. DMA
translation and protection are done at PCIE bus IOMMU level.
- Device specific DMA translation - The device implements DMA
isolation and protection through its own logic. An example is a vDPA
device which uses on-chip IOMMU.
To hide the differences and complexity of the above types for a vDPA
device/IOMMU options and in order to present a generic virtio device
to the upper layer, a device agnostic framework is required.
This patch introduces a software vDPA bus which abstracts the
common attributes of vDPA device, vDPA bus driver and the
communication method (vdpa_config_ops) between the vDPA device
abstraction and the vDPA bus driver. This allows multiple types of
drivers to be used for vDPA device like the virtio_vdpa and vhost_vdpa
driver to operate on the bus and allow vDPA device could be used by
either kernel virtio driver or userspace vhost drivers as:

With the abstraction of vDPA bus and vDPA bus operations, the
difference and complexity of the under layer hardware is hidden from
upper layer. The vDPA bus drivers on top can use a unified
vdpa_config_ops to control different types of vDPA device.

This patch implements the third memory accessor for vringh besides
current kernel and userspace accessors. This idea is to allow vringh
to do the address translation through an IOTLB which is implemented
via vhost_map interval tree. Users should setup and IOVA to PA mapping
in this IOTLB.
This allows us to:
- Use vringh to access virtqueues with vIOMMU
- Use vringh to implement software virtqueues for vDPA devices

This patch factors out IOTLB into a dedicated module in order to be
reused by other modules like vringh. User may choose to enable the
automatic retiring by specifying VHOST_IOTLB_FLAG_RETIRE flag to fit
for the case of vhost device IOTLB implementation.

Currently, CONFIG_VHOST depends on CONFIG_VIRTUALIZATION. But vhost is
not necessarily for VM since it's a generic userspace and kernel
communication protocol. Such dependency may prevent archs without
virtualization support from using vhost.
To solve this, a dedicated vhost menu is created under drivers so
CONIFG_VHOST can be decoupled out of CONFIG_VIRTUALIZATION.
While at it, also squash Kconfig.vringh into vhost Kconfig file. This
avoids the trick of conditional inclusion from VOP or CAIF. Then it
will be easier to introduce new vringh users and common dependency for
both vringh and vhost.

Alan Stern points out that the WARN_ON() check in device_prepare()
is racy (because the PM-runtime API can be disabled briefly for any
device at any time and system suspend can start at any time too) and
the pm_runtime_suspended() check in the computation of the
direct_complete flag value is redundant (because it will be
repeated later anyway).
Drop both these checks accordingly.

Texas Instruments K3 SoCs contain an RTI (Real Time Interrupt) module
which can be used as a watchdog. This IP provides a support for
windowed watchdog mode, in which the watchdog must be petted within
a certain time window. If it is petted either too soon, or too late,
a watchdog error will be triggered.

If the heartbeat module param is not specified we would get an error
message
watchdog: f1020300.watchdog: driver supplied timeout (4294967295) out of range
watchdog: f1020300.watchdog: falling back to default timeout (171)
This is because we were initialising heartbeat to -1. By removing the
initialisation (thus letting the C run time initialise it to 0) we
silence the warning message and the default timeout is still used.

The Acer Aspire 5783z shipped with Windows 7 and as such does not trigger
our "win8 ready" heuristic for prefering the native backlight interface.
Still ACPI backlight control doesn't work on this model, where as the
native (intel_video) backlight interface does work. Add a quirk to
force using native backlight control on this model.

If the target misbehaves and sends us unexpected payload we
need to make sure to fail the controller and stop processing
the input stream. We clear the rd_enabled flag and stop
the io_work, but we may still requeue it if we still have pending
sends and then in the next invocation we will process the input
stream as the check is only in the .data_ready upcall.
To fix this we need to make sure not to self-requeue io_work
upon a recv flow error.
This fixes the crash:

Generic protection fault type kernel panic is observed when user performs
soft (ordered) HBA unplug operation while IOs are running on drives
connected to HBA.
When user performs ordered HBA removal operation, the kernel calls PCI
device's .remove() call back function where driver is flushing out all the
outstanding SCSI IO commands with DID_NO_CONNECT host byte and also unmaps
sg buffers allocated for these IO commands.
However, in the ordered HBA removal case (unlike of real HBA hot removal),
HBA device is still alive and hence HBA hardware is performing the DMA
operations to those buffers on the system memory which are already unmapped
while flushing out the outstanding SCSI IO commands and this leads to
kernel panic.
Don't flush out the outstanding IOs from .remove() path in case of ordered
removal since HBA will be still alive in this case and it can complete the
outstanding IOs. Flush out the outstanding IOs only in case of 'physical
HBA hot unplug' where there won't be any communication with the HBA.
During shutdown also it is possible that HBA hardware can perform DMA
operations on those outstanding IO buffers which are completed with
DID_NO_CONNECT by the driver from .shutdown(). So same above fix is applied
in shutdown path as well.
It is safe to drop the outstanding commands when HBA is inaccessible such
as when permanent PCI failure happens, when HBA is in non-operational
state, or when someone does a real HBA hot unplug operation. Since driver
knows that HBA is inaccessible during these cases, it is safe to drop the
outstanding commands instead of waiting for SCSI error recovery to kick in
and clear these outstanding commands.

Currently ufshcd driver assumes that bInitPowerMode parameter is not
changed by any vendors thus device power mode can be set as "Active" during
initialization.
According to UFS JEDEC specification, device power mode shall be "Active"
after HW Reset is triggered if the bInitPowerMode parameter in Device
Descriptor is default value.
By above description, we can set device power mode as "Active" after device
reset is triggered by vendor's callback. With this change, the link startup
performance can be improved in some cases by not setting link_startup_again
as true in ufshcd_link_startup().

If the daemon is restarted or crashes while logging out of a session, the
unbind session event sent by the kernel is not processed and is lost. When
the daemon starts again, the session can't be unbound because the daemon is
waiting for the event message. However, the kernel has already logged out
and the event will not be resent.
When iscsid restart is complete, logout session reports error:
