2024-03-03input/touchscreen: imagis: Add support for Imagis IST3038BMarkuss Broks
Imagis IST3038B is another variant of Imagis IST3038 IC, which has a different register interface from IST3038C (possibly firmware defined). This should also work for IST3044B (though untested), however other variants using this interface/protocol(IST3026, IST3032, IST3026B, IST3032B) have a different format for coordinates, and they'd need additional effort to be supported by this driver. 2024-03-03Input: leds - change config symbol dependency for audio mute triggerHeiner Kallweit
In a follow-up patch implementation of the LED audio trigger will be moved to sound/core/snd_ctl_led, including removal of config symbol LEDS_AUDIO_TRIGGER. Also as of today the audio mute LED trigger is effectively a no-op w/o config symbol SND_CTL_LED being defined. Therefore switch the dependency to this config symbol. 2024-03-03RDMA/uverbs: Avoid -Wflex-array-member-not-at-end warningsGustavo A. R. Silva
-Wflex-array-member-not-at-end is coming in GCC-14, and we are getting ready to enable it globally. There are currently a couple of objects (`alloc_head` and `bundle`) in `struct bundle_priv` that contain a couple of flexible structures: struct bundle_priv { /* Must be first */ struct bundle_alloc_head alloc_head; ... /* * Must be last. bundle ends in a flex array which overlaps * internal_buffer. */ struct uverbs_attr_bundle bundle; u64 internal_buffer[32]; }; So, in order to avoid ending up with a couple of flexible-array members in the middle of a struct, we use the `struct_group_tagged()` helper to separate the flexible array from the rest of the members in the flexible structures: struct uverbs_attr_bundle { struct_group_tagged(uverbs_attr_bundle_hdr, hdr, ... the rest of the members ); struct uverbs_attr attrs[]; }; With the change described above, we now declare objects of the type of the tagged struct without embedding flexible arrays in the middle of another struct: struct bundle_priv { /* Must be first */ struct bundle_alloc_head_hdr alloc_head; ... struct uverbs_attr_bundle_hdr bundle; u64 internal_buffer[32]; }; We also use `container_of()` whenever we need to retrieve a pointer to the flexible structures. Notice that the `bundle_size` computed in `uapi_compute_bundle_size()` remains the same. 2024-03-03watchdog: stm32_iwdg: initialize default timeoutBen Wolsieffer
The driver never sets a default timeout value, therefore it is initialized to zero. When CONFIG_WATCHDOG_HANDLE_BOOT_ENABLED is enabled, the watchdog is started during probe. The kernel is supposed to automatically ping the watchdog from this point until userspace takes over, but this does not happen if the configured timeout is zero. A zero timeout causes watchdog_need_worker() to return false, so the heartbeat worker does not run and the system therefore resets soon after the driver is probed. This patch fixes this by setting an arbitrary non-zero default timeout. The default could be read from the hardware instead, but I didn't see any reason to add this complexity. This has been tested on an STM32F746. 2024-03-03watchdog: qcom: fine tune the max timeout value calculationKathiravan Thirumoorthy
To determine the max_timeout value, the below calculation is used. max_timeout = 0x10000000 / clk_rate cat /sys/devices/platform/soc@0/b017000.watchdog/watchdog/watchdog0/max_timeout 8388 However, this is not valid for all the platforms. IPQ SoCs starting from IPQ40xx and recent Snapdragron SoCs also has the bark and bite time field length of 20bits, which can hold max up to 32 seconds if the clk_rate is 32KHz. If the user tries to configure the timeout more than 32s, then the value will be truncated and the actual value will not be reflected in the HW. To avoid this, lets add a variable called max_tick_count in the device data, which defines max counter value of the WDT controller. Using this, max-timeout will be calculated in runtime for various WDT contorllers. Note that the upper limit of ida_simple_get() is exclusive, but the one of ida_alloc_range()/ida_alloc_max() is inclusive. So a -1 has been added when needed. We have of_machine_is_compatible() to check if a machine is compatible with a single compatible string. However some code is able to support multiple compatible boards, and so wants to check for one of many compatible strings. So add of_machine_compatible_match() which takes a NULL terminated array of compatible strings to check against the root node's compatible property. Compared to an open coded match this is slightly more self documenting, and also avoids the caller needing to juggle the root node either directly or via of_find_node_by_path(). 2024-03-02nvmet: introduce new max queue size configuration entryMax Gurtovoy
Using this port configuration, one will be able to set the maximal queue size to be used for any controller that will be associated to the configured port. The default value stayed 1024 but each transport will be able to set the its own values before enabling the port. Introduce lower limit of 16 for minimal queue depth (same as we use in the host fabrics drivers). 2024-03-02nvme-rdma: introduce NVME_RDMA_MAX_METADATA_QUEUE_SIZE definitionMax Gurtovoy
This definition will be used by controllers that are configured with metadata support. For now, both regular and metadata controllers have the same maximal queue size but later commit will increase the maximal queue size for regular RDMA controllers to 256. We'll keep the maximal queue size for metadata controllers to be 128 since there are more resources that are needed for metadata operations and 128 is the optimal size found for metadata controllers base on testing. We accidently met the issue that the bash prompt is not shown after the previous command done and until the next input if there's only one CPU (In our issue other CPUs are isolated by isolcpus=). Further analysis shows it's because the port entering runtime suspend even if there's still pending chars in the buffer and the pending chars will only be processed in next device resuming. 2024-03-02serial: 8250_dw: Do not reclock if already at correct ratePeter Collingbourne
When userspace opens the console, we call set_termios() passing a termios with the console's configured baud rate. Currently this causes dw8250_set_termios() to disable and then re-enable the UART clock at the same frequency as it was originally. This can cause corruption of any concurrent console output. Fix it by skipping the reclocking if we are already at the correct rate. 2024-03-02tty: serial: imx: Fix broken RS485Rickard x Andersson
When about to transmit the function imx_uart_start_tx is called and in some RS485 configurations this function will call imx_uart_stop_rx. The problem is that imx_uart_stop_rx will enable loopback in order to release the RS485 bus, but when loopback is enabled transmitted data will just be looped to RX. This patch fixes the above problem by not enabling loopback when about to transmit. This driver now works well when used for RS485 half duplex master configurations. The struct eg20t_port has a spinlock_t which is used for locking while access I/O of the device. Then there is the uart_portlock which is sometimes and nests within eg20t_port's lock. The uart_port lock is not used while using the struct in pch_uart_hal_read() which might be okay. Then both locks are used in pch_console_write() which looks odd especially the double try_lock part. All in all it looks like the uart_port's lock could replace eg20t_port's lock and simplify the code. Remove eg20t_port::lock and use uart_port's lock for the lock scope.
