2020-03-30devlink: Implicitly set auto recover flag when registering health reporterEran Ben Elisha
When health reporter is registered to devlink, devlink will implicitly set auto recover if and only if the reporter has a recover method. No reason to explicitly get the auto recover flag from the driver. Remove this flag from all drivers that called devlink_health_reporter_create. All existing health reporters set auto recovery to true if they have a recover method. Yet, administrator can unset auto recover via netlink command as prior to this patch. 2020-03-30ptp: Avoid deadlocks in the programmable pin code.Richard Cochran
The PTP Hardware Clock (PHC) subsystem offers an API for configuring programmable pins. User space sets or gets the settings using ioctls, and drivers verify dialed settings via a callback. Drivers may also query pin settings by calling the ptp_find_pin() method. Although the core subsystem protects concurrent access to the pin settings, the implementation places illogical restrictions on how drivers may call ptp_find_pin(). When enabling an auxiliary function via the .enable(on=1) callback, drivers may invoke the pin finding method, but when disabling with .enable(on=0) drivers are not permitted to do so. With the exception of the mv88e6xxx, all of the PHC drivers do respect this restriction, but still the locking pattern is both confusing and unnecessary. This patch changes the locking implementation to allow PHC drivers to freely call ptp_find_pin() from their .enable() and .verify() callbacks. 2020-03-30net: hns3: fix set and get link ksettings issueGuangbin Huang
When device is not open, the service task which update the port information per second is not running. In this case, the port capabilities, including speed ability, autoneg ability, media type, may be incorrect. Then get/set link ksetting may fail. This patch fixes it by updating the port information before getting/ setting link ksettings when device is not open, and start timer task immediately by setting delay time to 0 when device opens. 2020-03-30net: hns3: fix RSS config lost after VF reset.Guojia Liao
Currently, VF's RSS configuration would be set to default after VF reset, the the user's one will loss. To fix it, this patch separates hclgevf_rss_init_hw() into two parts, one sets up the default RSS configuration and just be called when driver loading, one configures the hardware and be called by driver loading or reset. 2020-03-30Crypto: chelsio - Fixes a hang issue during driver registrationAyush Sawal
This issue occurs only when multiadapters are present. Hang happens because assign_chcr_device returns u_ctx pointer of adapter which is not yet initialized as for this adapter cxgb_up is not been called yet. The last_dev pointer is used to determine u_ctx pointer and it is initialized two times in chcr_uld_add in chcr_dev_add respectively. The fix here is don't initialize the last_dev pointer during chcr_uld_add. Only assign to value to it when the adapter's initialization is completed i.e in chcr_dev_add. 2020-03-30pwm: jz4740: Improve algorithm of clock calculationPaul Cercueil
The previous algorithm hardcoded details about how the TCU clocks work. The new algorithm will use clk_round_rate to find the perfect clock rate for the PWM channel. This code relies on the fact that clk_round_rate() will always round down, which is not a valid assumption given by the clk API, but only happens to be true with the clk drivers used for Ingenic SoCs. Right now, there is no alternative as the clk API does not have a round-down function (and won't have one for a while), but if it ever comes to light, a round-down function should be used instead. 2020-03-30pwm: jz4740: Use clocks from TCU driverPaul Cercueil
The ingenic-timer "TCU" driver provides us with clocks, that can be (un)gated, reparented or reclocked from devicetree, instead of having these settings hardcoded in this driver. The new code now uses a clk pointer per PWM (instead of a clk per pwm-chip before). So the pointer is stored in per-pwm data now. The calls to arch-specific timer code is replaced with standard clock API calls to start and stop each channel's clock. While this driver is devicetree-compatible, it is never (as of now) probed from devicetree, so this change does not introduce a ABI problem with current devicetree files. To configure DM timer in PWM mode the following needs to be set in OMAP_TIMER_CTRL_REG using set_pwm callback: - Set toggle mode on PORTIMERPWM output pin - Set trigger on overflow and match on PORTIMERPWM output pin. - Set auto reload This is a one time configuration and needs to be set before the start of the DM timer. But the current driver tries to set the same configuration for every period/duty cycle update, which is not needed. So move the PWM setup before enabling timer and do not update it in pwm_omap_dmtimer_config().
