2011-11-01bonding:update speed/duplex for NETDEV_CHANGEWeiping Pan
Zheng Liang(lzheng@redhat.com) found a bug that if we config bonding with arp monitor, sometimes bonding driver cannot get the speed and duplex from its slaves, it will assume them to be 100Mb/sec and Full, please see /proc/net/bonding/bond0. But there is no such problem when uses miimon. (Take igb for example) I find that the reason is that after dev_open() in bond_enslave(), bond_update_speed_duplex() will call igb_get_settings() , but in that function, it runs ethtool_cmd_speed_set(ecmd, -1); ecmd->duplex = -1; because igb get an error value of status. So even dev_open() is called, but the device is not really ready to get its settings. Maybe it is safe for us to call igb_get_settings() only after this message shows up, that is "igb: p4p1 NIC Link is Up 1000 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: RX". So I prefer to update the speed and duplex for a slave when reseices NETDEV_CHANGE/NETDEV_UP event. Changelog V2: 1 remove the "fake 100/Full" logic in bond_update_speed_duplex(), set speed and duplex to -1 when it gets error value of speed and duplex. 2 delete the warning in bond_enslave() if bond_update_speed_duplex() returns error. 3 make bond_info_show_slave() handle bad values of speed and duplex. 2011-11-01drm/radeon/kms: always do extended edid probeAlex Deucher
Rather than having a quirk list just always check the EDID header when probing. This is the recommended behavior according to the display team. This avoids problems with improperly terminated i2c lines on some boards. This is also what the proprietary driver does. 2011-11-01drm/radeon/kms: remove useless radeon_ddc_dump()Alex Deucher
The function didn't work with DP, eDP, or DP bridge connectors and thus confused users as it lead them to believe nothing was connected or the EDID was invalid when in fact is was, just on the aux bus rather an i2c. 2011-11-01drm/radeon/kms: allocate vram scratch page on 6xx+Alex Deucher

2011-11-01drm/radeon: avoid bouncing connector status btw disconnected & unknownJerome Glisse
Since force handling rework of d0d0a225e6ad43314c9aa7ea081f76adc5098ad4 we could end up bouncing connector status btw disconnected and unknown. 2011-11-01Revert "HID: multitouch: decide if hid-multitouch needs to handle mt devices"Henrik Rydberg
This reverts commit 0db3bfc72adf0c (""HID: multitouch: decide if hid-multitouch needs to handle mt devices"). The generic detection of hid-mt devices has two major flaws, and was merged prematurely. Firstly, the hid-multitouch gets loaded even when the device is handled by a special device. Secondly, the patch only partially duplicates the device whitelist already present in hid-core, effectively rendering a number of devices non-functional. 2011-11-01HID: drivers/hid/hid-roccat.c: eliminate a null pointer dereferenceJulia Lawall
It is not possible to take the lock in device if device is NULL. The mutex_lock is thus moved after the NULL test. New error handling labels are added at the end to differentiate between the cases where different sets of locks should be unlocks, and between whether or not reader should be freed (only on error). The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r@ expression E, E1; identifier f; statement S1,S2,S3; @@ if (E == NULL) { ... when != if (E == NULL || ...) 2011-11-01EDAC: Fix incorrect edac mode reporting in sb_edacMark A. Grondona
The edac driver for Sandy Bridge was found to be reporting "FPM" for edac_mode, which clearly doesn't make sense. It was found that sb_edac.c:get_dimm_config was reusing a variable for both mem_type and edac_type, and thus was overwriting the value after setting it correctly. This patch fixes that issue. 2011-11-01edac: Add an experimental new driver to support Sandy Bridge CPU'sMauro Carvalho Chehab
This driver is known to work on mine and Tony's test environments, using software error injection, and a partial hardware/software error injection tool. There's no broader range test yet to double check if the error decoding logic will actually point to the right DIMM, so use it with care. More tests are required to be sure that the driver will work on all different types of memory configurations. If you're willing to risk using it, I suggest you to enable EDAC debugs for your test machines, as the debug logs helps to track what's going inside the driver.
