2016-01-22btrfs: tests: switch to GFP_KERNELDavid Sterba
There's no reason to do GFP_NOFS in tests, it's not data-heavy and memory allocation failures would affect only developers or testers. Signed-off-by: David Sterba <dsterba@suse.com>

2016-01-07Btrfs: use linux/sizes.h to represent constantsByongho Lee
We use many constants to represent size and offset value. And to make code readable we use '256 * 1024 * 1024' instead of '268435456' to represent '256MB'. However we can make far more readable with 'SZ_256MB' which is defined in the 'linux/sizes.h'. So this patch replaces 'xxx * 1024 * 1024' kind of expression with single 'SZ_xxxMB' if 'xxx' is a power of 2 then 'xxx * SZ_1M' if 'xxx' is not a power of 2. And I haven't touched to '4096' & '8192' because it's more intuitive than 'SZ_4KB' & 'SZ_8KB'. Signed-off-by: Byongho Lee <bhlee.kernel@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David Sterba <dsterba@suse.com>
2015-12-17Btrfs: add extent buffer bitmap sanity testsOmar Sandoval
Sanity test the extent buffer bitmap operations (test, set, and clear) against the equivalent standard kernel operations. Signed-off-by: Omar Sandoval <osandov@fb.com> Signed-off-by: Chris Mason <clm@fb.com>
2015-01-21btrfs: switch extent_state state to unsignedDavid Sterba
Currently there's a 4B hole in the structure between refs and state and there are only 16 bits used so we can make it unsigned. This will get a better packing and may save some stack space for local variables. The size of extent_state gets reduced by 8B and there are usually a lot of slab objects. struct extent_state { u64 start; /* 0 8 */ u64 end; /* 8 8 */ struct rb_node rb_node; /* 16 24 */ wait_queue_head_t wq; /* 40 24 */ /* --- cacheline 1 boundary (64 bytes) --- */ atomic_t refs; /* 64 4 */ /* XXX 4 bytes hole, try to pack */ long unsigned int state; /* 72 8 */ u64 private; /* 80 8 */ /* size: 88, cachelines: 2, members: 7 */ /* sum members: 84, holes: 1, sum holes: 4 */ /* last cacheline: 24 bytes */ }; Signed-off-by: David Sterba <dsterba@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Chris Mason <clm@fb.com>
2013-11-11Btrfs: add tests for find_lock_delalloc_rangeJosef Bacik
So both Liu and I made huge messes of find_lock_delalloc_range trying to fix stuff, me first by fixing extent size, then him by fixing something I broke and then me again telling him to fix it a different way. So this is obviously a candidate for some testing. This patch adds a pseudo fs so we can allocate fake inodes for tests that need an inode or pages. Then it addes a bunch of tests to make sure find_lock_delalloc_range is acting the way it is supposed to. With this patch and all of our previous patches to find_lock_delalloc_range I am sure it is working as expected now.
