2023-01-26fs: build the legacy direct I/O code conditionallyChristoph Hellwig
Add a new LEGACY_DIRECT_IO config symbol that is only selected by the file systems that still use the legacy blockdev_direct_IO code, so that kernels without support for those file systems don't need to build the code. Convert to struct mnt_idmap. Last cycle we merged the necessary infrastructure in 256c8aed2b42 ("fs: introduce dedicated idmap type for mounts"). This is just the conversion to struct mnt_idmap. Currently we still pass around the plain namespace that was attached to a mount. This is in general pretty convenient but it makes it easy to conflate namespaces that are relevant on the filesystem with namespaces that are relevent on the mount level. Especially for non-vfs developers without detailed knowledge in this area this can be a potential source for bugs. Once the conversion to struct mnt_idmap is done all helpers down to the really low-level helpers will take a struct mnt_idmap argument instead of two namespace arguments. This way it becomes impossible to conflate the two eliminating the possibility of any bugs. All of the vfs and all filesystems only operate on struct mnt_idmap. ->writepage is a very inefficient method to write back data, and only used through write_cache_pages or a a fallback when no ->migrate_folio method is present. syzbot is reporting hung task at do_user_addr_fault() [1], for there is a silent deadlock between PG_locked bit and ni_lock lock. Since filemap_update_page() calls filemap_read_folio() after calling folio_trylock() which will set PG_locked bit, ntfs_truncate() must not call truncate_setsize() which will wait for PG_locked bit to be cleared when holding ni_lock lock. Currently, the hidedotfiles mount option only has an effect when creating new files. Removing or adding the starting dot when moving or renaming files does not update the hidden attribute. The data_size and valid_size fields of non resident attributes should be less than the its alloc_size field, but this is not checked in ntfs_read_mft function. Syzbot reports a allocation order warning due to a large unchecked value of data_size getting assigned to inode->i_size which is then passed to kcalloc. Add sanity check for ensuring that the data_size and valid_size fields are not larger than alloc_size field.
