Now that we have a small ID for each client we can use xarray instead of
linearly searching linked lists for client data. This will give much
faster and scalable client data lookup, and will lets us revise the
locking scheme.
Since xarray can store 'going_down' using a mark just entirely eliminate
the struct ib_client_data and directly store the client_data value in the
xarray. However this does require a special iterator as we must still
iterate over any NULL client_data values.
Also eliminate the client_data_lock in favour of internal xarray locking.

This gives each client a unique ID and will let us move client_data to use
xarray, and revise the locking scheme.
clients have to be add/removed in strict FIFO/LIFO order as they
interdepend. To support this the client_ids are assigned to increase in
FIFO order. The existing linked list is kept to support reverse iteration
until xarray can get a reverse iteration API.

The PD allocations in IB/core allows us to simplify drivers and their
error flows in their .alloc_pd() paths. The changes in .alloc_pd() go hand
in had with relevant update in .dealloc_pd().
We will use this opportunity and convert .dealloc_pd() to don't fail, as
it was suggested a long time ago, failures are not happening as we have
never seen a WARN_ON print.

Add new macros to be used in drivers while registering ops structure and
IB/core while calling allocation routines, so drivers won't need to
perform kzalloc/kfree in their paths.
The change in allocation stage allows us to initialize common fields prior
to calling to drivers (e.g. restrack).

When creating many MAD agents in a short period of time, receive packet
processing can be delayed long enough to cause timeouts while new agents
are being added to the atomic notifier chain with IRQs disabled. Notifier
chain registration and unregstration is an O(n) operation. With large
numbers of MAD agents being created and destroyed simultaneously the CPUs
spend too much time with interrupts disabled.
Instead of each MAD agent registering for it's own LSM notification,
maintain a list of agents internally and register once, this registration
already existed for handling the PKeys. This list is write mostly, so a
normal spin lock is used vs a read/write lock. All MAD agents must be
checked, so a single list is used instead of breaking them down per
device.
Notifier calls are done under rcu_read_lock, so there isn't a risk of
similar packet timeouts while checking the MAD agents security settings
when notified.

Implement simple greedy algo to find more optimized root-delta tree for
a given objagg instance. This "hints" can be used by a driver to:
1) check if the hints are better (driver's choice) than the original
objagg tree. Driver does comparison of objagg stats and hints stats.
2) use the hints to create a new objagg instance which will construct
the root-delta tree according to the passed hints. Currently, only a
simple greedy algorithm is implemented. Basically it finds the roots
according to the maximal possible user count including deltas.

Currently, user can do dump or get of param values right after the
devlink params are registered. However the driver may not be initialized
which is an issue. The same problem happens during notification
upon param registration. Allow driver to publish devlink params
whenever it is ready to handle get() ops. Note that this cannot
be resolved by init reordering, as the "driverinit" params have
to be available before the driver is initialized (it needs the param
values there).

The root cause is that the _IOC macro can generate really large numbers,
which don't fit into type 'int', which is used for the cmd parameter in
the ioctls in scsi_host_template. My research into how GCC and Clang are
handling this at a low level didn't prove fruitful. However, looking at
the rest of the kernel tree, all ioctls use an 'unsigned int' for the
cmd parameter, which will fit all of the _IOC values in the scsi/ata
subsystems.
Make that change because none of the ioctls expect a negative value for
any command, it brings the ioctls inline with the reset of the kernel,
and it removes ambiguity, which is never good when dealing with compilers.

This patch adds appropriate kernel documentation for DRM DP helpers
used for enabling Display Stream compression functionality in
drm_dp_helper.h and drm_dp_helper.c as well as for the DSC spec
related structure definitions and helpers in drm_dsc.c and drm_dsc.h
Also add links between the functions and structures in the documentation.

This augments the CBUS GPIO I2C driver to use GPIO
descriptors for clock, sel and data. We drop the platform
data that was only used for carrying GPIO numbers and
use machine descriptor tables instead.

The double underscore types are meant for compatibility in userspace
headers which does not apply here. Therefore, change to use the standard
no-underscore types.
The origin of the double underscore types dates back to before the git era
so I was not able to find a commit to see the original justification.

The ASoC core has for the longest time increased the module reference
counts, even before the transition to the component model. This is
probably fine on most platforms, but it introduces a deadlock case on
Intel devices with the Skylake and SOF drivers which cannot be removed
due to their reference counts being modified by the core.
In these 2 cases, the PCI or ACPI driver .probe creates a platform
device to let the machine driver .probe register the audio
card. Conversely the PCI or ACPI driver .remove will unregister the
platform device which results in the card being removed by the machine
driver .remove.

The issue is that by playing with the component's module reference
counts during the card registration, it's no longer possible to remove
the module which controls the component. This can be shown, e.g. with
the following error:

Increasing the reference count during the component probe is not
useful. If the PCI/ACPI module is removed, the card will be removed
anyway.
To avoid breaking existing platforms and allowing Intel platforms to
safely deal with module load/unload cases, this patch introduces a
flag which needs to be set during the component initialization. This
is a strictly opt-in capability that should only be used when the
handling of the component module does not require a reference count
increase to prevent removal during use.
Note that this solution is not directly applicable to the legacy
Atom/SST driver, which uses a different device hierarchy. There are
however additional refcount issues which prevent the ACPI driver from
being removed. This is a different issue which would need a different
patch.

Component framework is extended to support multiple components for
a struct device. These will be matched with different masters based on
its sub component value.
We are introducing this, as I915 needs two different components
with different subcomponent value, which will be matched to two
different component masters(Audio and HDCP) based on the subcomponent
values.

While typing these I think doing an s/component_master/aggregate/
would be useful:
- it's shorter :-)
- I think component/aggregate is much more meaningful naming than
component/puppetmaster or something like that. At least to my
English ear "aggregate" emphasizes much more the "assemble a pile of
things into something bigger" aspect, and there's not really much
of a control hierarchy between aggregate and constituing components.
But that's way more than a quick doc typing exercise ...

In some cases, the system bus can be configured for 16-bit mode,
in this case using read/write functions for 32-bit values
results in two cycles of 16 bits each, which is wrong.
This patch adds the devicetree flag to switch the driver to
use 16-bit mode for I/O transfers.

Now all callers no longer check the return value from
snd_pcm_lib_preallocate_pages() and co, let's make them to return
void, so that any new code won't fall into the same pitfall.

Lots and lots of new drivers so far, a highlight being the MediaTek
BTCVSD which is a driver for a Bluetooth radio chip - the first such
driver we've had upstream. Hopefully we will soon also see a baseband
with an upstream driver!
- Support for only powering up channels that are actively being used.
- Quite a few improvements to simplify the generic card drivers,
especially the merge of the SCU cards into the main generic drivers.
- Lots of fixes for probing on Intel systems, trying to rationalize
things to look more standard from a framework point of view.
- New drivers for Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4497, Cirrus Logic CS4341,
Google ChromeOS embedded controllers, Ingenic JZ4725B, MediaTek
BTCVSD, MT8183 and MT6358, NXP MICFIL, Rockchip RK3328, Spreadtrum
DMA controllers, Qualcomm WCD9335, Xilinx S/PDIF and PCM formatters.

Add support for multi-bssid.
This includes:
- Parsing multi-bssid element
- Overriding DTIM values
- Taking into account in various places the inner BSSID instead of
transmitter BSSID
- Save aside some multi-bssid properties needed by drivers

Parsing and exposing nontransmitted APs is problematic
when underlying HW doesn't support it. Do it only if
driver indicated support. Allow HE restriction as well,
since the HE spec defined the exact manner that Multiple
BSSID set should behave. APs that not support the HE
spec will have less predictable Multiple BSSID set
support/behavior

Previously the transmitted BSS and the non-trasmitted BSS list were
defined in struct cfg80211_internal_bss. Move them to struct cfg80211_bss
since mac80211 needs this info.

We currently have a number of helpers to find elements that just
return a u8 *, change those to return a struct element and add
inlines to deal with the u8 * compatibility.
Note that the match behaviour is changed to start the natch at
the data, so conversion from _ie_match to _elem_match need to
be done carefully.

Rather than always iterating elements from frames with pure
u8 pointers, add a type "struct element" that encapsulates
the id/datalen/data format of them.
Then, add the element iteration macros
* for_each_element
* for_each_element_id
* for_each_element_extid
which take, as their first 'argument', such a structure and
iterate through a given u8 array interpreting it as elements.
While at it and since we'll need it, also add
* for_each_subelement
* for_each_subelement_id
* for_each_subelement_extid
which instead of taking data/length just take an outer element
and use its data/datalen.
Also add for_each_element_completed() to determine if any of
the loops above completed, i.e. it was able to parse all of
the elements successfully and no data remained.
Use for_each_element_id() in cfg80211_find_ie_match() as the
first user of this.

Add a "sinks" directory entry so that users can see all the sinks
available in the system in a single place. Individual sink are added
as they are registered with the coresight bus.

When pmu::setup_aux() is called the coresight PMU needs to know which
sink to use for the session by looking up the information in the
event's attr::config2 field.
As such simply replace the cpu information by the complete perf_event
structure and change all affected customers.

The kblockd workqueue is created with the WQ_MEM_RECLAIM flag set.
This generates a rescuer thread for that queue that will trigger when
the CPU is under heavy load and collect the uncompleted work.
In the case of mmc, this creates the possibility of a deadlock when
there are multiple partitions on the device as other blk-mq work is
also run on the same queue. For example:
- worker 0 claims the mmc host to work on partition 1
- worker 1 attempts to claim the host for partition 2 but has to wait
for worker 0 to finish
- worker 0 schedules complete_work to release the host
- rescuer thread is triggered after time-out and collects the dangling
work
- rescuer thread attempts to complete the work in order starting with
claim host
- the task to release host is now blocked by a task to claim it and
will never be called
The above results in multiple hung tasks that lead to failures to
mount partitions.
Handling complete_work on a separate workqueue avoids this by keeping
the work completion tasks separate from the other blk-mq work. This
allows the host to be released without getting blocked by other tasks
attempting to claim the host.

move their prototypes from include/linux/audit.h to kernel/audit.h
so they are not visible to the rest of the kernel.
