2020-06-11dt-bindings: Fix more incorrect 'reg' property sizes in examplesRob Herring
The examples template is a 'simple-bus' with a size of 1 cell for had between 2 and 4 cells which really only errors on I2C or SPI type devices with a single cell. The easiest fix in most cases is to change the 'reg' property to 1 cell for address and size. 2020-06-11dt-bindings: Remove more cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring
Another round of 'allOf' removals that came in this cycle. json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords. The json-schema library doesn't yet support this, but the tooling now does a fixup for this and either way works. Convert the marvell,mmp2-ccic binding to DT schema format using json-schema. While at that this drops the "func" and "phy" clocks. The driver consumes clocks with those names, but it's not clear what are they for and they are not used in DT systems. "phy" is probably a clock for the sensor and it would belong in the sensor node. 2020-03-31dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'Rob Herring
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented properties in a binding. Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema. So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add 'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual review comment and game of wack-a-mole. 2020-02-19dt-bindings: media: csi: Fix clocks descriptionMaxime Ripard
Commit 1de243b07666 ("media: dt-bindings: media: sun4i-csi: Add compatible for CSI1 on A10/A20") introduced support for the CSI1 controller on A10 and A20 that unlike CSI0 doesn't have an ISP and therefore only have two clocks, the bus and module clocks. The clocks and clock-names properties have thus been modified to allow either two or tree clocks. However, the current list has the ISP clock at the second position, which means the bindings expects a list of either bus and isp, or bus, isp and mod. The initial intent of the patch was obviously to have bus and mod in the former case. Let's fix the binding so that it validates properly.
