2023-04-26dt-bindings: mfd: Drop unneeded quotes in 'ref', 'id' and 'schema' entriesRob Herring

2023-03-08dt-bindings: Fix SPI and I2C bus node names in examplesRob Herring
SPI and I2C bus node names are expected to be "spi" or "i2c", respectively, with nothing else, a unit-address, or a '-N' index. A pattern of 'spi0' or 'i2c0' or similar has crept in. Fix all these cases. Mostly scripted with the following commands: git grep -l '\si2c[0-9] {' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -e 's/i2c[0-9] {/i2c {/' git grep -l '\sspi[0-9] {' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -e 's/spi[0-9] {/spi {/' With this, a few errors in examples were exposed and fixed. 2022-10-31dt-bindings: cros-ec: Add ChromeOS fingerprint bindingStephen Boyd
Add a binding to describe the fingerprint processor found on Chromebooks with a fingerprint sensor. 2022-10-31dt-bindings: cros-ec: Reorganize and enforce property availabilityStephen Boyd
Various properties in the cros-ec binding only apply to different compatible strings. For example, the interrupts and reg property are required for all cros-ec devices except for the rpmsg version. Add some conditions to update the availability of properties so that they can't be used with compatibles that don't support them. This reveals that many of the examples in bindings that use cros-ec were missing the interrupts property. Add the property to make those bindings whole again. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/robh/linux Pull devicetree updates from Rob Herring: - Add Krzysztof Kozlowski as co-maintainer for DT bindings providing much needed help. - DT schema validation now takes DTB files as input rather than intermediate YAML files. This decouples the validation from the source level syntax information. There's a bunch of schema fixes as a result of switching to DTB based validation which exposed some errors and incomplete schemas and examples. - Kbuild improvements to explicitly warn users running 'make dt_binding_check' on missing yamllint - Expand DT_SCHEMA_FILES kbuild variable to take just a partial filename or path instead of the full path to 1 file. - Convert various bindings to schema format: mscc,vsc7514-switch, multiple GNSS bindings, ahci-platform, i2c-at91, multiple UFS bindings, cortina,gemini-sata-bridge, cortina,gemini-ethernet, Atmel SHA, Atmel TDES, Atmel AES, armv7m-systick, Samsung Exynos display subsystem, nuvoton,npcm7xx-timer, samsung,s3c2410-i2c, zynqmp_dma, msm/mdp4, rda,8810pl-uart - New schemas for u-boot environment variable partition, TI clksel - New compatible strings for Renesas RZ/V2L SoC - Vendor prefixes for Xen, HPE, deprecated Synopsys, deprecated HiSilicon - Add/fix schemas for QEMU Arm 'virt' machine - Drop unused of_alias_get_alias_list() function - Add a script to check DT unittest EXPECT message output. 2022-03-02dt-bindings: Another pass removing cases of 'allOf' containing a '$ref'Rob Herring
Another pass at removing unnecessary use of 'allOf' with a '$ref'. json-schema versions draft7 and earlier have a weird behavior in that any keywords combined with a '$ref' are ignored (silently). The correct form was to put a '$ref' under an 'allOf'. This behavior is now changed in the 2019-09 json-schema spec and '$ref' can be mixed with other keywords.
