2017-11-09dt-bindings: Remove leading zeros from bindings notationMarco Franchi
Improve the binding example by removing all the leading zeros to fix the following dtc warnings: Warning (unit_address_format): Node /XXX unit name should not have leading 0s Converted using the following command: perl -p -i -e 's/\@0+([0-9a-f])/\@$1/g' `find ./Documentation/devicetree/bindings "*.txt"` Some unnecessary changes were manually fixed. 2017-09-05dt-bindings: Remove "status" from examplesRob Herring
Pretty much any node can have a status property, so it doesn't need to be in examples. Converted with the following command and removed examples with SoC and board specific splits: git grep -l -E 'status.*=.*' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -E '/\sstatus.*=.*"(disabled|ok|okay)/d' Acked-by: Mark Rutland <mark.rutland@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>

Motorola Droid 4 uses a WL 1285C. With differences between chips not being public let's add explicit binding for wl1285 instead of relying on wl1283 being very similar. 2017-05-18dt-binding: net: wireless: fix node name in the BCM43xx exampleMartin Blumenstingl
The example in the BCM43xx documentation uses "brcmf" as node name. However, wireless devices should be named "wifi" instead. Fix this to make sure that .dts authors can simply use the documentation as reference (or simply copy the node from the documentation and then adjust only the board specific bits). 2016-08-30dt: bindings: Add binding for ESP8089 wifi chipsHans de Goede
The ESP8089 chips can mostly be enumerated via their sdio interface, but they are clocked by an external crystal which may differ from one board to the other. This commit adds a binding for the sdio child node for these chips, allowing to specify the external crystal type (for now, this binding could be be extended with e.g. OOB irq support later). The Android driver for this chip uses a text file with key, value pairs which gets loaded as firmware to pass this info to the firmware. The "esp,crystal_26M_en" name is chosen to match the crystal_26M_en key-name in that text file. Note that at this point there only is an out of tree driver for this hardware, there is no clear timeline / path for merging this. Still I believe it would be good to specify the binding for this in tree now, so that any future migration to an in tree driver will not cause compatiblity issues. 2016-07-19wlcore: spi: add wl18xx supportEyal Reizer
Add support for using with both wl12xx and wl18xx. - all wilink family needs special init command for entering wspi mode. extra clock cycles should be sent after the spi init command while the cs pin is high. - Use inverted chip select for sending a dummy 4 bytes command that completes the init stage. 2016-03-21dt: bindings: add new dt entry for pre calibration in qcom, ath10k.txtRaja Mani
There two things done in this patch, 1) Existing device tree entry 'qcom,ath10k-calibration-data' carries not only calibration data, it carries board specific data too. So, make appropriate update in doc. 2) ipq4019 wifi needs new devie tree entry to carry calibration data alone (called pre cal data, it doesn't include any other info). Using 'qcom,ath10k-calibration-data' for ipq4019 would alter the purpose of it. Hence, add new device tree entry called 'qcom,ath10k-pre-calibration-data' to carry only pre calibration data. 2016-01-21dt: bindings: add bindings for ipq4019 wifi blockRaja Mani
Add device tree binding documentation details for wifi block present in Qualcomm IPQ4019 SoC into "qcom,ath10k.txt". Right now, ath10k wireless driver has support for PCI based wlan devices. There is a plan to extend ath10k driver to support wifi devices which are connected over AHB as well (enumeration will happen via device tree node). For AHB based devices (ie, ipq4019), all wifi properties are supplied via device tree (including irq, reg addr, cal data, etc).
