2024-03-11dt-bindings: opp: drop maxItems from inner itemsDavid Heidelberg
With recent changes within matrix dimensions calculation, dropping maxItems: 1 provides a warning-free run. Fixes warning such as: arch/arm64/boot/dts/qcom/sdm845-oneplus-enchilada.dtb: opp-table: opp-200000000:opp-hz:0: [200000000, 0, 0, 150000000, 0, 0, 0, 0, 300000000] is too long Fixes: 3cb16ad69bef ("dt-bindings: opp: accept array of frequencies") Suggested-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David Heidelberg <david@ixit.cz> Reviewed-by: Dhruva Gole <d-gole@ti.com> Acked-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org>
2023-10-19dt-bindings: opp: opp-v2-kryo-cpu: Document named opp-microvolt propertyChristian Marangi
Document named opp-microvolt property for opp-v2-kryo-cpu schema. This property is used to declare multiple voltage ranges selected on the different values read from efuses. The selection is done based on the speed pvs values and the named opp-microvolt property is selected by the qcom-cpufreq-nvmem driver. 2023-10-10dt-bindings: opp: opp-v2-kryo-cpu: support Qualcomm Krait SoCsDmitry Baryshkov
Exted the opp-v2-kryo-cpu.yaml to support defining OPP tables for the previous generation of Qualcomm CPUs, 32-bit Krait-based platforms. It makes no sense to use 'operating-points-v2-kryo-cpu' compatibility node for the Krait cores. Add support for the Krait-specific 'operating-points-v2-krait-cpu' compatibility string and the relevant opp-microvolt subclasses properties. The listed opp-supported-hw values are applicable only to msm8996 / msm8996pro platforms. Remove the enum as other platforms will use other bit values. It makes little sense to list all possible values for all the platforms here. 2023-07-25dt-bindings: opp: Increase maxItems for opp-hz propertyManivannan Sadhasivam
Current limit of 16 will be exhausted by platforms specifying the frequency for 9 clocks using opp-hz, like Qcom SDM845 SoC. For instance, specifying the frequency for 9 clocks with 64bit specifier as below would consume (9 * 2 = 18) items. opp-50000000 { opp-hz = /bits/ 64 <50000000>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <37500000>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <0>, /bits/ 64 <75000000>; }; So let's increase the limit to 32 which should be enough for most platforms (hopefully). Enlarge opp-supported-hw maximum value. In recent SoC we started matching more bit and we currently match mask of 112. The old maximum of 7 was good for old SoC that didn't had complex id, but now this is limiting and we need to enlarge it to support more variants. Accidentally discovered a hidden typo in the DT-nodes defined in the opp-v2 bindings example. Instead of specifying the "clock-latency-ns" property the DT-node has been created with the "lock-latency-ns" property in it, which doesn't exist neither in opp-v2 nor in the base schemas. 2022-02-04dt-bindings: Improve phandle-array schemasRob Herring
The 'phandle-array' type is a bit ambiguous. It can be either just an array of phandles or an array of phandles plus args. Many schemas for phandle-array properties aren't clear in the schema which case applies though the description usually describes it. The array of phandles case boils down to needing: items: maxItems: 1 The phandle plus args cases should typically take this form: items: - items: - description: A phandle - description: 1st arg cell - description: 2nd arg cell With this change, some examples need updating so that the bracketing of property values matches the schema. 2020-12-09dt-bindings: opp: Allow empty OPP tablesNicola Mazzucato
Currently the optional property opp-shared is used within an opp table to tell that a set of devices share their clock/voltage lines (and the OPP points). It is therefore possible to use an empty OPP table to convey only that information, useful in situations where the opp points are provided via other means (hardware. firmware, etc). Update the documentation to remark this additional case and provide an example. Signed-off-by: Nicola Mazzucato <nicola.mazzucato@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Viresh Kumar <viresh.kumar@linaro.org>

2020-10-07dt-bindings: Use 'additionalProperties' instead of 'unevaluatedProperties'Rob Herring
In cases where we don't reference another schema, 'additionalProperties' can be used instead. This is preferred for now as 'unevaluatedProperties' support isn't implemented yet. In a few cases, this means adding some missing property definitions of which most are for SPI bus properties. 'unevaluatedProperties' is not going to work for the SPI bus properties anyways as they are evaluated from the parent node, not the SPI child node. 2020-09-16dt-bindings: opp: Allow opp-supported-hw to contain multiple versionsViresh Kumar
A single list of versions for a hierarchy of hardware levels is not sufficient in some cases. For example, if the hardware version has two levels, i.e. X.Y and we want an OPP to support only version 2.1 and 1.2, we will set the property as: opp-supported-hw = <0x00000003 0x00000003>; What this also does is enable hardware versions 2.2 and 1.1, which we don't want. Extend the property to accept multiple versions, so we can define the property as: opp-supported-hw = <0x00000002 0x00000001>, <0x00000001 0x00000002>; While at it, also reword the property description.
