2024-03-05ASoC: dt-bindings: nvidia: Fix 'lge' vendor prefixRob Herring
The documented vendor prefix for LG Electronics is 'lg' not 'lge'. Just change the example to 'lg' as there doesn't appear to be any dependency on the existing compatible string. 2024-02-05ASoC: dt-bindings: google,sc7280-herobrine: Drop bouncing @codeauroraJeffrey Hugo
The servers for the @codeaurora domain have long been retired and any messages sent there bounce. Srinivasa Rao Mandadapu has left the company and there does not appear to be an updated address to suggest, so drop Srinivasa as maintainer of the binding. The binding still appears to be maintined as Judy is listed. 2024-01-29ASoC: sun4i-spdif: Add Allwinner H616 compatibleChen-Yu Tsai
The SPDIF hardware block found in the H616 SoC has the same layout as the one found in the H6 SoC, except that it is missing the receiver side. Add a new compatible string for it. 2024-01-29ASoC: sun4i-spdif: Fix requirements for H6Chen-Yu Tsai
When the H6 was added to the bindings, only the TX DMA channel was added. As the hardware supports both transmit and receive functions, the binding is missing the RX DMA channel and is thus incorrect. Also, the reset control was not made mandatory. Add the RX DMA channel for SPDIF on H6 by removing the compatible from the list of compatibles that should only have a TX DMA channel. And add the H6 compatible to the list of compatibles that require the reset control to be present. 2024-01-05ASoC: dt-bindings: move tas2563 from tas2562.yaml to tas2781.yamlShenghao Ding
Move tas2563 from tas2562.yaml to tas2781.yaml to unbind tas2563 from tas2562 driver code and bind it to tas2781 driver code, because tas2563 only work in bypass-DSP mode with tas2562 driver. In order to enable DSP mode for tas2563, it has been moved to tas2781 driver. As to the hardware part, such as register setting and DSP firmware, all these are stored in the binary firmware. What tas2781 drivder does is to parse the firmware and download it to the chip, then power on the chip. So, tas2781 driver can be resued as tas2563 driver. Only attention will be paid to downloading corresponding firmware. 2023-11-13dt-bindings: es8328: convert to DT schema formatSebastian Reichel
Convert the binding to DT schema format. Note, that "IPVDD-supply" got fixed to be "HPVDD-supply" during the conversion. This was obviously a typo in the old binding. The old binding example, DT files, chip datasheet and Linux driver use HPVDD. 2023-11-13ASoC: dt-bindings: Simplify port schemaRob Herring
The use of 'definitions' is not necessary and also problematic because the dtschema tools don't process 'definitions' resulting in this spurious warning: Documentation/devicetree/bindings/sound/renesas,rsnd.example.dtb: sound@ec500000: port:endpoint: Unevaluated properties are not allowed ('phandle' was unexpected) from schema $id: http://devicetree.org/schemas/sound/renesas,rsnd.yaml# Fix this by moving the port schema to #/properties/port and referencing that directly from the 'ports' schema. Really, a binding should just always use 'ports' if multiple ports are possible. There's no benefit to supporting both forms. However, it appears there are already lots of users of this one with a single 'port' node. 2023-10-26sc7180: Add qdsp based soundcardMark Brown
Merge series from Nikita Travkin <nikita@trvn.ru>: Some devices, such as Acer Aspire 1, can't use lpass dirrectly, but instead must use adsp core to play sound. Since otherwise the hardware is, usually, very similar across the devices on the same platform, it makes sense to reuse the same boardfile. This series refactors the sc7180.c slightly and adds the functions to control clocks via adsp instead of controlling the hardware directly.

2023-10-24dt-bindings: Drop kernel copy of common reserved-memory bindingsRob Herring
The common reserved-memory bindings have recently been copied from the kernel tree into dtschema. The preference is to host common, stable bindings in dtschema. As reserved-memory is documented in the DT Spec, it meets the criteria. The v2023.09 version of dtschema is what contains the reserved-memory schemas we depend on, so bump the minimum version to that. Otherwise, references to these schemas will generate errors.
