2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2019-12-10ARM: dts: at91: Reenable UART TX pull-upsIngo van Lil
Pull-ups for SAM9 UART/USART TX lines were disabled in a previous commit. However, several chips in the SAM9 family require pull-ups to prevent the TX lines from falling (and causing an endless break condition) when the transceiver is disabled. From the SAM9G20 datasheet, 32.5.1: "To prevent the TXD line from falling when the USART is disabled, the use of an internal pull up is mandatory.". This commit reenables the pull-ups for all chips having that sentence in their datasheets. 2019-01-30ARM: dts: Kill off skeleton{64}.dtsiRob Herring
Remove the usage of skeleton.dtsi in the remaining dts files. It was deprecated since commit 9c0da3cc61f1 ("ARM: dts: explicitly mark skeleton.dtsi as deprecated"). This will make adding a unit-address to memory nodes easier. The main tricky part to removing skeleton.dtsi is we could end up with no /memory node at all when a bootloader depends on one being present. I hacked up dtc to check for this condition. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC cleanups from Olof Johansson: "We've got a fairly large cleanup branch this time. The bulk of this is removal of non-DT platforms of several flavors: - Atmel at91 platforms go full-DT, with removal of remaining board-file based support - OMAP removes legacy board files for three more platforms - removal of non-DT mach-msm, newer Qualcomm platforms now live in mach-qcom - Freescale i.MX25 also removes non-DT platform support" Most of the rest of the changes here are fallout from the above, i.e. for example removal of drivers that now lack platforms, etc. * tag 'armsoc-cleanup' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (58 commits) mmc: Remove msm_sdcc driver gpio: Remove gpio-msm-v1 driver ARM: Remove mach-msm and associated ARM architecture code ARM: shmobile: cpuidle: Remove the pointless default driver ARM: davinci: dm646x: Add interrupt resource for McASPs ARM: davinci: irqs: Correct McASP1 TX interrupt definition for DM646x ARM: davinci: dm646x: Clean up the McASP DMA resources ARM: davinci: devices-da8xx: Add support for McASP2 on da830 ARM: davinci: devices-da8xx: Clean up and correct the McASP device creation ARM: davinci: devices-da8xx: Add interrupt resource to McASP structs ARM: davinci: devices-da8xx: Add resource name for the McASP DMA request ARM: OMAP2+: Remove legacy support for omap3 TouchBook ARM: OMAP3: Remove legacy support for devkit8000 ARM: OMAP3: Remove legacy support for EMA-Tech Stalker board ARM: shmobile: Consolidate the pm code for R-Car Gen2 ARM: shmobile: r8a7791: Correct SYSCIER value ARM: shmobile: r8a7790: Correct SYSCIER value ARM: at91: remove old setup ARM: at91: sama5d4: remove useless map_io ARM: at91: sama5 use SoC detection infrastructure ...
2015-03-20Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/netDavid S. Miller
Conflicts: drivers/net/ethernet/emulex/benet/be_main.c net/core/sysctl_net_core.c net/ipv4/inet_diag.c The be_main.c conflict resolution was really tricky. The conflict hunks generated by GIT were very unhelpful, to say the least. It split functions in half and moved them around, when the real actual conflict only existed solely inside of one function, that being be_map_pci_bars(). So instead, to resolve this, I checked out be_main.c from the top of net-next, then I applied the be_main.c changes from 'net' since the last time I merged. And this worked beautifully. The inet_diag.c and sysctl_net_core.c conflicts were simple overlapping changes, and were easily to resolve. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-03-13ARM: at91/dt: introduce atmel,<chip>-dbguAlexandre Belloni
The DBGU is not a simple UART and we need to be able to distinguish it from the other UARTs, in particular to get its address and check the chip id. Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Ferre <nicolas.ferre@atmel.com>
2015-03-11ARM: at91/dt: fix USB high-speed clock to select UTMINicolas Ferre
The UTMI clock must be selected by any high-speed USB IP. The logic behind it needs this particular clock. So, correct the clock in the device tree files affected. Reported-by: Bo Shen <voice.shen@atmel.com> Signed-off-by: Nicolas Ferre <nicolas.ferre@atmel.com> Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> #3.18
2015-03-07ARM: at91/dt: fix macb compatible stringsBoris BREZILLON

2015-03-04ARM: at91/dt: keep watchdog running in idle modeMichel Marti
Since turning on idle-halt in commit fe46aa679f12 (ARM: at91/dt: add sam9 watchdog default options to SoCs), SoCs compatible with at91sam9260-wdt no longer reboot if the watchdog times out while the CPU is in idle state. Removing the 'idle-halt' flag that was set by default fixes this. 2015-01-15ARM: at91/dt: add SRAM nodesAlexandre Belloni
Add nodes for the SRAM available on atmel SoCs For the at91sam9260 and the at91sam9g20, address mirroring is used to create a single contiguous SRAM range instead of declaring two separate banks.
