2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2023-04-03ARM: dts: exynos: replace mshc0 alias with mmc-ddr-1_8v propertyHenrik Grimler
Previously, the mshc0 alias has been necessary so that MMC_CAP_1_8V_DDR | MMC_CAP_8_BIT_DATA are set for mshc_0/mmc_0. However, these capabilities should be described in the device tree so that we do not have to rely on the alias. The property mmc-ddr-1_8v replaces MMC_CAP_1_8V_DDR, while bus_width = <8>, which is already set for all the mshc0/mmc0 nodes, replaces MMC_CAP_8_BIT_DATA. Also drop other mshc aliases as they are not needed. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/krzk/linux into arm/dt Samsung pinctrl DTS and driver changes for v5.18 Conversion of Samsung pinctrl bindings to dtschema followed up with alignment of DTS files to the dtschema. The entire work consists of three parts but everything should be merged at once to avoid dtschema check errors: 1. Samsung pinctrl driver change necessary to accept new DTS (driver depends on node names and this has to be adjusted because of dtschema). 2. Conversion to dtschema which brings requirement of different naming of the GPIO nodes. 3. DTS commits depending on driver (1) above, which convert all GPIO pin bank names to new naming, required by dtschema. This also includes few cleanups around DTS which are here to avoid any merge conflicts. The Samsung pinctrl driver changes are backwards compatible. However the DTS changes (renaming nodes) could cause problems in out-of-tree or other project implementations of the driver. * tag 'samsung-dt-pinctrl-5.18' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/krzk/linux: (28 commits) arm64: dts: exynos: use dedicated wake-up pinctrl compatible in ExynosAutov9 ARM: dts: s5pv210: align pinctrl with dtschema ARM: dts: s3c64xx: align pinctrl with dtschema ARM: dts: s3c24xx: align pinctrl with dtschema arm64: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in ExynosAutov9 arm64: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos7 arm64: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos5433 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos542x/5800 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos5410 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos5260 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos5250 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos4412 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos4210 ARM: dts: exynos: align pinctrl with dtschema in Exynos3250 ARM: dts: s3c64xx: drop unneeded pinctrl wake-up interrupt mapping ARM: dts: exynos: simplify PMIC DVS pin configuration in Peach Pi ARM: dts: exynos: override pins by label in Peach Pi ARM: dts: exynos: simplify PMIC DVS pin configuration in Peach Pit ARM: dts: exynos: override pins by label in Peach Pit ARM: dts: exynos: simplify PMIC DVS pin configuration in Odroid XU ... 2019-04-28dt-bindings: hwmon (pwm-fan) Remove dead "cooling-*-state" propertiesRobin Murphy
The old "cooling-{min,max}-state" properties for thermal bindings were ratified to "cooling-{min,max}-level" by commit eb168b70dea5 ("of: thermal: Fix inconsitency between cooling-*-state and cooling-*-level"), which were later removed entirely by commit e04907dbc259 ("dt-bindings: thermal: Remove "cooling-{min|max}-level" properties"). The pwm-fan binding, however, was apparently in-flight in parallel with that ratification, and so managed to introduce an example of the old properties which escaped the scope of the later cleanup and has thus continued to be dutifully copied for new boards despite being useless. 2016-08-10ARM: dts: exynos: Properly select eMMC HighSpeed mode on Odroid XUKrzysztof Kozlowski
Exynos5410 supports eMMC version 4.41 so HS200 is the top mode which should be configured. This is reflected in usage of "samsung,exynos5250-dw-mshc" compatible. However Odroid XU DTS contained also property "mmc-hs400-1_8v" which is parsed by MMC core therefore resulting in mixed configuration. MMC core set HS400 but dwmmc_exynos driver did not configure the data strobe for HS400 DDR mode. Removal of HS400 properties fixes semi-random mmc errors during boot: mmc_host mmc0: Bus speed (slot 0) = 400000000Hz (slot req 200000000Hz, actual 200000000HZ div = 1) mmc0: mmc_select_hs400 failed, error -84 mmc0: error -84 whilst initialising MMC card Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski@samsung.com> Reviewed-by: Alim Akhtar <alim.akhtar@samsung.com>
2016-06-06ARM: dts: exynos: Configure PWM, usb3503, PMIC and thermal on Odroid XU boardKrzysztof Kozlowski
Extend the DTS for Exynos5410-based Odroid XU board with: 1. Proper PWM outputs, 2. usb3503 USB HUB (with integrated LAN9730 ethernet adapter (smsc95xx)), 3. Maxim 77802 PMIC (regulators, 32 kHz clocks, RTC), 4. CPU thermal (trip points are the same as in Odroid XU3/XU4 but cooling maps are different as there is no CPU freq and only one cluster available for now), 5. Regulator supplies for USB 3.0. 2016-05-31ARM: dts: exynos: Add initial support for Odroid XU boardKrzysztof Kozlowski
The Hardkernel's Odroid XU board was first design with big.LITTLE SoC from Samsung: the Exynos5410. Details: 1. Exynos5410 octa-core (A15+A7, however as of now only one cluster is enabled), 2. 2 GB DDR3 RAM, 3. PowerVR SGX544MP3 GPU (not enabled in DTS), 4. USB 3.0 Host x 1, USB 3.0 OTG x 1, USB 2.0 Host x 4, 5. HDMI 1.4a, MIPI DSI and Display Port (Display Port not on all of revisions though), 6. eMMC 4.5 and microSD slots. Comparing this board to Odroid XU3 (more popular), the differences are: 1. Exynos5410 instead of 5422, 2. MIPI DSI LCD connector, 3. Main PMIC: Maxim 77802 instead of S2MPS11, 4. USB3503+LAN9730 instead of integrated LAN9514, 5. eMMC 4.5 instead of eMMC 5.0, This patch adds initial support for the XU board with working basic functions, eMMC/SD and USB (including attached ethernet adapter).
