2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2022-12-31ARM: dts: imx: align LED node names with dtschemaKrzysztof Kozlowski
The node names should be generic and DT schema expects certain pattern: imx50-kobo-aura.dtb: gpio-leds: 'on' does not match any of the regexes: '(^led-[0-9a-f]$|led)', 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' imx6dl-yapp4-draco.dtb: led-controller@30: 'chan@0', 'chan@1', 'chan@2' do not match any of the regexes: '^led@[0-8]$', '^multi-led@[0-8]$', 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2022-02-12ARM: dts: imx: Add missing LVDS decoder on M53MenloMarek Vasut
The M53Menlo display unit uses an LVDS-to-DPI bridge, TI DS90CF364A. Describe this bridge in DT, otherwise the DT incorrectly describes DPI panel attached directly to LVDS source. 2021-09-22ARM: dts: imx: Fix USB host power regulator polarity on M53MenloMarek Vasut
The MIC2025 switch input signal nEN is active low, describe it as such in the DT. The previous change to this regulator polarity was incorrectly influenced by broken quirks in gpiolib-of.c, which is now long fixed. So fix this regulator polarity setting here once and for all. 2021-09-22ARM: dts: imx: Add missing pinctrl-names for panel on M53MenloMarek Vasut
The panel already contains pinctrl-0 phandle, but it is missing the default pinctrl-names property, so the pin configuration is ignored. Fill in the missing pinctrl-names property, so the pin configuration is applied. 2021-07-23ARM: dts: imx: Swap M53Menlo pinctrl_power_button/pinctrl_power_out pinsMarek Vasut
The pinctrl_power_button/pinctrl_power_out each define single GPIO pinmux, except it is exactly the other one than the matching gpio-keys and gpio-poweroff DT nodes use for that functionality. Swap the two GPIOs to correct this error. 2020-08-30ARM: dts: imx: Fix the SPI chipselect polarityFabio Estevam
The conversion of the spi-imx driver to use GPIO descriptors in commit 8cdcd8aeee28 ("spi: imx/fsl-lpspi: Convert to GPIO descriptors") helped to detect the following SPI chipselect polarity mismatch on an imx6q-sabresd: [ 4.854337] m25p80@0 enforce active low on chipselect handle Prior to the above commit, the chipselect polarity passed via cs-gpios property was ignored and considered active-low. The reason for such mismatch is clearly explained in the comments inside drivers/gpio/gpiolib-of.c: * SPI children have active low chip selects * by default. This can be specified negatively * by just omitting "spi-cs-high" in the * device node, or actively by tagging on * GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW as flag in the device * tree. If the line is simultaneously * tagged as active low in the device tree * and has the "spi-cs-high" set, we get a * conflict and the "spi-cs-high" flag will * take precedence. To properly represent the SPI chipselect polarity, change it to active-low when the "spi-cs-high" property is absent.
