2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2023-06-09arm: dts: mt7623: add port@5 as CPU portArınç ÜNAL
On the MT7623AI SoC and Bananapi BPI-R2, port 5 of the MT7530 switch is connected to the second MAC of the SoC as a CPU port. Add the port and set up the second MAC on the bindings. 2023-06-09arm: dts: mt7623: change mt7530 switch addressArınç ÜNAL
In the case of muxing phy0 of the MT7530 switch, the switch and the phy will have the same address on the mdio bus, 0. This causes the ethernet driver to fail since devices on the mdio bus cannot share an address. Any address can be used for the switch, therefore, change the switch address to 0x1f. 2023-06-09arm: dts: mt7623: add gmacs to mt7623.dtsiArınç ÜNAL
There are two gigabit MACs on the MT7623AI and MT7623NI SoCs. Add them to mt7623.dtsi and adjust the DTs that call mt7623.dtsi. Now that there are labels for the MACs, remove them from under &eth on the DTs that call mt7623.dtsi. Remove the unnecessary mdio label from Bananapi BPI-R2. 2018-05-11arm: dts: mt7623: extend common file reused by all boards with MT7623 SoCsSean Wang
Move all possible setups for pio into SoC level DTSI file mt7623.dtsi in order to introduce more boards such as official MT7623A reference boards without copy-n-pasting almost the same content of nodes in pio into every new file. So, it should be better to reuse those nodes by consolidating them into the common file mt7623.dtsi from the current existent DTS and allow new DTS files to refer to them. 2018-05-11arm: dts: mt6323: move node mt6323 leds to mt6323.dtsiSean Wang
Since those LEDs are parts of PMIC MT6323, it is reasonable to merge those LEDs node definition back into mt6323.dtsi. This way can improve the reusability of those nodes among different boards with the same PMIC. And LED is very much board specific and thus the mt6323.dtsi only includes the parent node here and leave these child nodes in the board specific dts file. 2018-05-11arm: dts: mt7623: fix invalid memory node being generatedSean Wang
Below two wrong nodes in existing DTS files would cause a fail boot since in fact the address 0 is not the correct place the memory device locates at. memory { device_type = "memory"; reg = <0x0 0x0 0x0 0x0>; }; memory@80000000 { reg = <0x0 0x80000000 0x0 0x40000000>; }; In order to avoid having a memory node starting at address 0, we can't include file skeleton64.dtsi and instead need to explicitly manually define a few of properties the DTS relies on such as #address-cells and #size-cells in root node and device_type in the node memory@80000000. 2018-03-18arm: dts: mt7623: remove useless property pinctrl-names at node switch@0Sean Wang
The property pinctrl-names is totally superfluous. It would be good to remove the property to keep the node neatness. There is actually unnecessary to set up any pins for data path TRGMII between main SoC and MT7530. Furthermore, it's more reasonable for the pin setup of control path MDIO bus is being placed inside the node of ethernet controller.
