2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2023-05-30ARM: dts: s5pv210: Fix typo in comments, fix pinctrl headerArtur Weber
Change 'specfic' to 'specific' and make the pinctrl DTSI header more like the s3c64xx pinctrl DTSI (previously it was copied from the main s5pv210 DTSI, and not changed to match the new contents). 2023-05-08ARM: dts: s5pv210: align pin configuration nodes with bindingsKrzysztof Kozlowski
Bindings expect that pins in initial and sleep states nodes end with '-pin': s5pv210-fascinate4g.dtb: pinctrl@e0200000: sleep-state: 'gpa0-0', ... 'mp07-7' do not match any of the regexes: '^(pin-[a-z0-9-]+|[a-z0-9-]+-pin)$', 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230421095721.31857-1-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org>
2022-06-07ARM: dts: s5pv210: use local header for pinctrl register valuesKrzysztof Kozlowski
The DTS uses hardware register values directly in pin controller pin configuration. These are not some IDs or other abstraction layer but raw numbers used in the registers. These numbers were previously put in the bindings header to avoid code duplication and to provide some context meaning (name), but they do not fit the purpose of bindings. It is also quite confusing to use constants prefixed with Exynos for other SoC, because there is actually nothing here in common, except the actual value. Store the constants in a header next to DTS and use them instead of bindings. 2020-06-15ARM: dts: s5pv210: Add interrupt-controller property to gph3Jonathan Bakker
The GPH3 pins on s5pv210 have interrupt support and had the interrupt-cells property but was missing the interrupt-controller property. Signed-off-by: Jonathan Bakker <xc-racer2@live.ca> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzk@kernel.org>
2020-05-04ARM: dts: s5pv210: Correct gpi pinctrl node nameJonathan Bakker
The node name was gpgi, but the pinctrl driver was registering the pins as just gpi and the "samsung, pins" i2s0 pinctrl entries refer to gpi. The public S5PC110 datasheet also refers to these pins as just gpi, so let's make sure everything is in sync and rename the node to gpi.
